Al Jazeera to Brainwash Kids Next Ramadan

It isn’t enough for Al Jazeera to bleed propaganda into the minds of adults. Now they want to increase their viewership with impressionable young children. Just to give you a sampling of what Al Jazeera’s concept of Children’s “Programming” would probably look like, I submit to you the following:

Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC) has launched a newline up of television programmes to be broadcast all through next year’s Ramadan, said a company statement.

The production of most of these programmes is currently on, it said.

The JCC took into account the different GMT zones while discussing the playtime of the programmes. As a result viewers across the Arab region as well as Europe will be able to watch at timings convenient to them, the statement added.

The new programmes are based on studies and field research, conducted during the first year of the channel’s broadcast to improve its contents, it said. “They adhere to their variant culture specifics as well as viewing habits,” said a company official.

The spokesperson added that the channel is working on enhancing and promoting its wide coverage and presence through continuous communication and interaction with both young and adult viewers.

A 2 D cartoon series, the first of its kind to be produced by a children’s channel in the Arab world, has also been launched. Efforts have also been made to meet the requirements of pre-school children, she said.
