Malaysian: Chastity belts ‘help’ women
I hate to admit this but the guy has a point-no not the belt that is a stupid idea. His point that something should be done to protect Muslim women from Muslim men is valid. I am starting to believe a Muslim woman who has not been victimized by a relative or another Muslim is slightly rarer than a sasquatch.
Bangkok Post
Kuala Lumpur (dpa) – A leading Malaysian Muslim cleric has suggested that all women should be fitted with chastity belts as a deterrent to rape and incest, a news report said Friday.
Abu Hassan Al-Hafiz, an influential cleric from the northeastern Terengganu state, said that women were most safe from sexual predators if they donned some form of barrier to their sexual organs.
“We have even come across a number of unusual sex cases, where even senior citizens and children are not spared. The best way to avert sex perpetrators is to wear protection,” Abu Hassan said in a sermon late Thursday, quoted by the Star daily.
“My intention is not to offend women but to safeguard them from sex maniacs. Besides, husbands could also feel more secure, if you know what I mean.”
Abu Hassan said that the practice of women wearing chastity belts in Malaysia could be traced to as recent as the mid-1960s.

The entire world is in the 21st century except for one sizable segment, who insists on living in the year 630. That’s fine with me except for the fact they want the rest of us to live like that as well. I think some sort of chastity belt is good idea-it’s high time for one for the “man” who just can’t control himself.

1400 years of inbreeding has not done these people any favors.

I swear, Malaysian clerics and politicians are trying to outdo themselves with their foot-in-mouth disease.
Chastity belts, indeed….

I posted that article, as it is just more proof of the Muslim fascination with sex and dominance over their children and women. The cleric has since claimed it was all a joke and we all know how many clerics are renowned for their comedy (none). To have a high-level cleric approach the issue proves the problem is far worse than what is known outside of Islam. I have run article’s in the past about women being imprisoned or killed because of incest or rape. I have studied Islam and Muslims for so long when I see a young Muslim child or woman I can not feel anything except pity. I know that if they have not been brutalized yet it is only a matter of time.

It was never a joke. It just got out of hand and claiming it was a joke is the easiest way out.

Interesting to note the cleric admits rape and incest are a problem. But once again, islam puts the onus on women when it comes to controlling men’s sexual desires. How is it the woman’s responsibility ?
I also object to his ending comment, “Besides, husbands could also feel more secure, if you know what I mean.” Nudge nudge, wink wink. Yep, we have to control those wild, sex crazed muslimas by any means.
