In the face of disastrous discrimination, and gross disparity between wealth and poverty, it's difficult to imagine that mankind is either religious or humane. If so, it illustrates man as his worst, not at his best - or so we are taught by most religions and by most humanists from birth to death. Regardless of label, complacency to accept the excuses add the deception of hypocrical support for whatever disparity exists and then classify it as patriotism or nationalism. Isn't that a hoot? Cultural complacency may well be mankind’s worst enemy.
