Muslim students In Australia want Preferential Treatment
Creeping Sharia alert
MUSLIM university students want lectures to be rescheduled to fit in with prayer timetables and separate male and female eating and recreational areas established on Australian campuses.
-No special treatment should even be considered.
International Muslim students, predominantly from Saudi Arabia, have asked universities in Melbourne to change class times so they can attend congregational prayers. They also want a female-only area for Muslim students to eat and relax.
-Who cares what they want they are students. When they build their own universities, they can set the rules.
But at least one institution has rejected their demands, arguing that the university is secular and it does not want to set a precedent for requests granted in the name of religious beliefs.
-Exactly one set of rules for everyone.
La Trobe University International chief officer John Molony said several students had approached the Bundoora institution about rearranging class times to fit in with daily prayers.
Mr Molony said the university was attempting to “meet the needs” of an increasing number of Muslim international students, including doubling the size of the prayer room on campus.
-Why, do you think they will all leave for a more complainant facility-you should be so lucky.
La Trobe University International College director Martin Van Run said that although it was involved in discussions with the Muslim students who had made the requests, the university was not planning to change any timetables.
“That would seriously inconvenience other people at the college and it is not institutionally viable,” he told The Australian. “We are a secular institution … and we need to have a structured timetable.”
-Well said.
Mr Van Run said that Saudi students were fully aware that the university was secular before coming to study there. “They know well in advance the class times,” he said.
-This was never about prayer times it is about control and domination.
A spokesman for RMIT University would neither confirm nor deny reports that Muslim students had requested timetable changes.
-Why not?
One university source told The Australian that the requests by Muslim international students for timetable changes included a petition.
-Check the names and see how many times “Donald duck and superman signed it
“Some of the students would prefer that lecture times were organised so it would be easy for them to attend prayers,” he said. “But it wouldn’t be a good precedent to set.”
-It is a Pandora’s box, once opened impossible to close.
Islamic leaders yesterday backed the push by Muslim students to have their lectures arranged to accommodate prayer sessions, but said such a move would be essential only for congregational Friday prayers.
Female Muslim leader Aziza Abdel-Halim said yesterday it was a religious duty for those who followed Islam to preach with their fellow believers on Fridays.
-No female is truly a leader, put she back in a burka and tell her to shut up, men will settle this (I’d make a great Muslim)
But the former senior member of John Howard’s Muslim reference board said there was nothing in Islam that indicated men and women be segregated when it came to educational activities.
“There’s nothing in Islam that says there should be complete segregation, especially in educational institutions,” said Sister Abdel-Halim.
-So it is not an issue get back to work, no special treatment.
She said afternoon prayers for Muslims – Zhohor, at 1.10pm, and Asr, at 4.50pm – could be performed until 10 minutes before the following daily prayer, so it was more appropriate to alter prayer times than lecture schedules.
“It’s reasonable to ask for the lectures to be shifted around on Friday,” Sister Abdel-Halim said. “But if it’s going to cause havoc with the timetable, I don’t think it’s really feasible to ask for every single prayer to be catered for.”
-No special treatment, who controls the schools the students or the faculty?

News flash, Universities offer a varied schedule of classes to select from. Choose the ones best for YOUR schedule and quit trying to force the Kaffur students and fauclty to observe your prayer schedules like you do in Saudi Arabia.

There’s an old Arab proverb that states :
‘Once the camel’s head is inside the tent, the whole body is certain to follow’
Last year, La Trobe university let the camel’s head inside the tent when they introduced separate Muslim toilets and foot washing facilities.
That demand was only an opener.
Every Muslim demand acceded to merely becomes a stepping stone for more and bigger demands.

Warner,
You are right of course, Muslims take the first sign of friendship as weakness and exploit it until it stops working. Then they just use methods that are more forceful.

Why are there so many “students” from the ummah in the West anyway? No schools in the old countries? Kick them the hell out.

I do believe they should be entitled to these very modest demands, subject but to one
little condition, that they continue their studies at the wonderful university in Riyad.
They should also be allowed one female camel each for recreation. In case this sounds weird, bear in mind that: a.the rope they wear on top of their checkered dishcloth is in fact a hobble for the
camel. b. They ONLY ride female camels. c. When they go off into the desert sunset on
their female camel, not only do they have the hobble at hand, they also wear bedsheets.
If you are not careful, that sand will get everywhere.

I have been reading some comments about this on a local MSM ‘blog.
One poster says,and I quote:
“During my postgraduation overseas, I had several muslim fellow students from many Asian countries and Iran, but never saw anyone going to prayer during daytime. It appears, practising religion in campuses is becoming a fashionable trend these days. In general it is not a good sign; it promotes isolationism and seggregation, exactly opposite to what education is supposed to do. It should be nipped in the bud. ”
Interesting! But we have to have this in our countries?
Others here feel the universities should remain secular.
In my time most religions had clubs of their own on all campuses. Back then I don’t recall seeing any Muslim student societies. (yes, it was a while ago!)

Tell ‘em to get stuffed.
They moved to a secular western nation. If they don’t like it, they can go to hell. Idiots.
P.S. Jews rock! Hell, I’m not Jewish, have no Jewish ancestors, but I’m thinking of sending Israel some money; hopefully they’ll use it to buy weapons and smoke a few jihadist losers.

Yeah Israel rocks, please go check out the war crimes they’re committing on a daily basis. Maybe Palestinian babies are less human than white babies and Jewish babies.

The Palestinians are far from guiltless…

Yes, Palestinian “babies” are less human than white babies and Jewish babies; Just ask their own mothers and fathers:
“I’m prepared to sacrifice my six children,” said Mahmoud Sumara’s mother, Halima. “I’m serious. I don’t mind if I lose them if that brings back al-Aqsa…” (NBC News)
▪ “I pray that G-d will choose them (to be martyrs),” says the father of a 13-year-old. (New York Times)
▪ “I am happy that he [my 13-year-old son] has been martyred. I will sacrifice all my sons and daughters (12 in all) to Al-Aqsa and Jerusalem.” (London Times)
▪ “If I had 20 children I would send them all down (to fight), I wouldn’t spare any of them. We’re not scared of death.” (Associated Press)
▪ Mother on PA TV, January 2003: “He would always dream of Shahada [martyrdom]. It was his first and last goal in life. I told him: ‘Dear, we all want to be Shahids.’ He said: ‘In this entire world, I can’t think of anyone to marry. I don’t think of any girls of this world to marry. I want to marry the Dark Eyed (Virgins of Paradise).’ I said: ‘If these are his thoughts, I wish him Shahada.’

And, there are thousands of other examples just like those. Therefore, I must conclude, based on the statements of their parents, that “palestinian” children are less human than other children.

Ok I get where you are coming from with not rearanging the time tables, but do you really want people washing their feet in your sinks? It is part of the religion to be clean how can you see a fault in that?
“No female is truly a leader, put she back in a burka and tell her to shut up, men will settle this (I’d make a great Muslim)” This comment is incorrect, muslim women are equal to muslim men.
So what if they asked? If you were a Christian and you wanted to attend Church on a Sunday, imagine if you had a class and you ASKED to have a time to attend Church, we wouldnt even be having this discussion. They asked, they didn’t get it, the end, stop cracking it at us for silly little things!
31 March, 2008 at 4:21 pm
Rayah,
No one should have to pay for the religious practices of another, if feet have to be washed and some muslim group handed them the money for a short sink people would have less of a problem with this. If they want tax payers to pay for it no way it should be done. Muslims can bring a bucket and use that, using a sink is just rude, unsanitary and stupidly dangerous.
As far as women being equal reread your koran, your voting rights and rights of inheritance or less than a small male child, hardly fair or equal.
Also, I have yet to ever hear of a muslim male being forced into marriage or honor killed.
20 March, 2009 at 1:06 pm
The Australian government isn’t letting all these Saudi international students attend Australian universities out of the goodness of their hearts. International students are compensating for diminishing government financial support of our tertiary institutions. These students pay big bucks to study here. Don’t worry mate, you’re not paying for their foot washing sinks from your tax dollars. I reckon foot washing sinks and a little understanding are a small ask.

Forced marriage and Honor killings are harram (not allowed) in Islam. These are traditions and customs of different lands which people try to call Islamic to get away with them. They are never done for honor or religion, simply for property or other evil desires.
Women my not have equal inheritance rights but they have greater rights in other departments e.g. even if a woman has her own business, a man can NEVER ask her to take care of the expenses at home cuz its his sole responsibility. Can you imagine not having to worry about paying bills!!
And you made a derogatory comment about a woman, Muslim or not. She said something very reasonable
“But if it’s going to cause havoc with the timetable, I don’t think it’s really feasible to ask for every single prayer to be catered for.”
I thought you guys give a lot of respect to women!
Its the racism and hatred towards Muslims that makes them feel isolated and then they take radical measures to truly segregate themselves. You stop hating and these demands for separation will stop. Dont let the media brainwash you. TRULY and sincerely try to do some research.

Re: “Forced marriages are harram in Islam.”
How dare you say that the Pedophile Moham (p be upon him) was harram!?
How dare you!!?
15 September, 2008 at 4:39 pm
Abail,
We have done the research and decided your pedophile was no prophet and his minions are disgusting blights on humanity. Sorry to candy coat it but I wouldn’t want to offend you.
Cheers
20 March, 2009 at 12:55 pm
The pedophile you’re referring to married mainly old war widows to protect thes vulnerable women and their children, and to unite warring tribes under the banner of the worship of one God. Look at the Jewish prophets of the old testament. According to the old testament, the much reverred David had 8 wives that are named, many more unnamed. The Jewish hero King Solomon had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines, while Abraham and Jacob were also polygamists. Read your own books man then point the finger. Give us Muslims a break will ya.
20 March, 2009 at 1:32 pm
Funny, I don’t recall any of them marrying a six-year old girl and then “consummating” the marriage when she was nine…
But, I do recall King David marrying a war widow – Bathsheba… Yeah, pretty much the same thing with Muhammad; send them off to war to die and then marry their wives. Hafsa bint Umar and Zaynab bint Khuzayma come to mind. However, contrary to your assertion that they were old women, they were not. They were close to Aisha’s age. Of course, the difference between David and Muhammad is that David knew he was sinning and had to beg God for forgiveness; Muhammad could care less what God thought…
Also, Muhammad had a bad habit of slaughtering all the men in a village and then forcing the good looking “war booty” widows to marry him or become his sex slaves. Safiyya, Zainab the Jewess, and Rihana come to mind. Hardly “old widows…”
Besides, Ronin is an atheist, so you get no brownie points for your tu quoque argument.

Where on Earth did you get the idea that David, Solomon, Abraham or Jacob are held up as models of a Christian family life?
Perhaps you are an adherent of one of the more Smithite Mormon cults?
20 March, 2009 at 8:17 pm
Abail wrote “Its the racism and hatred towards Muslims that makes them feel isolated”
No, Abail, it is a decision of individual muslims to
reject God’s plan of salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ, the same Jesus that mohammed and allah blaspheme against, and lead their followers in rebellion against.
There are consequences for muslims individually
and collectively, as earth heads towards the events foretold by the prophets such as Ezekiel, and John
in the Book of Revelation of Jesus Christ.
Islam is doomed, and about to pass its use-by date;
“racism” has nothing to do with it; rebellion against
God and following satan has everything to do with it.
