Yes, the USA is enjoying unprecedented prosperity. People lost homes they could not afford, retirement accounts are down, unemployment is high and I could toss out a laundry list of bad things to focus and distract your attention. At some point I have to realize, Americans are eating three meals a day, they are warm, comfortable, stores are open, highways are full and children play safely in the streets. You focus on the bad while I see reality. The USA will recover quicker than the rest of the world will. We do not have millions in refuge camps, millions who are lucky to eat a single daily meal. Our water is drinkable, our farmland is abundant and we grow half of the world’s food supply, more importantly we can continue to do so. We do not have authoritative rulers using an archaic seventh century ideology to impoverish all but a select few and enslave the masses. With our freedom we even have to power to elect a socialist if we so choose. America really is the land of opportunity. We are generous to both friend and foe, never enforce our will on others and as nation have recognized past mistakes and taken efforts to not repeat them. Taken together; The U.S. is certainly enjoying unprecedented prosperity.
