The average household income in the US is $48201. if we followed the government example that would mean the average citizens should give $19.28 per year to charity and spend $11568 on guns and ammo!

Maybe poor nations can have loans. And lenders should directly run those loans or else International aid ends up like secret mansions outside of those poor lands instead of developing say, their agriculture. Corruption – that’s one reason why there is widespread misery in there.

Luckily, some of these countries (some) are realizing that when they give and spread the wealth, it make life for everyone better. The US, Japan, Ireland, India, China and even some African nations (and more) have moved beyond their natural resources (if they even had any natural resources) and grow their economy into the trillions… but the Middle East just can’t seem to turn that oil revenue into the roots of a big economic tree. Oil doesn’t just drive cars and trucks. Its in plastics and electronics and also create other high need items…. but the Middle East hasn’t moved anywhere while the rest of the world is starting to get it. The United Emerites is starting to get it but that is about it.

Also, including private donations and excluding corporate donations, the U.S. gave over 2.8 Billion Dollars to the tsunami ravaged areas… - More than TWICE the amount of the next leading contributor - Australia (1.322 Billion).

Compare those figures with the following:
Australia = 1.3 Billion (BTW - per capita, it was the BIGGEST contributor)

EU = 615 Million

Heck, even the Netherlands, at 510 Million, gave MORE money than Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Turkey, and Katar combined!

Now, if I add in the Corporate Donations, the figures go off the chart and the U.S. is still the #1 contributor.

Heck, even G.W. Bush chipped in $16,000 of his personal cash… And, that Evil Zionist Joooo, Steven Speilberg, contributed 1.5 Million Dollars out of his own pocket!

Bottom line - OPEC nations SUCK at giving . The U.S. and Australia ROCK!
