War on terror is war on Islam, says muslim apologist

Ok, this entire article is bullshit. The muslims who condemn the US lead “war on terror” always fail to mention America defended Bosnia’s muslims, fed and defended Somalia’s muslims, liberated Kuwait’s muslims and on and on. If anything the USA is leading an international war for the furthering of individual human rights and basic American values.

Just for fun let’s see how many holes this article has.

By Nisa Islam Muhammad, 28 May, 2008
WASHINGTON (FinalCall.com) – The global war on terror has become a thinly veiled excuse to wage a global war on Islam with increased arrests of Muslims, calls for regime change in Muslim countries and racial profiling, according to a leader with a national Islamic organization.
-A common theme but as above fails to explain all the times we have helped muslims. It also fails to mention islam is a cult not a “race”. Finally note every muslims spokesman claims to be a “leader”. So I say “prove it leader” try and stop all the jihadi’s, go ahead-lead.

“The tactic of terrorism—and yes it is a tactic, not an ideology—has been deployed by a multitude of groups of different religions, ethnicities and ideologies and yet the Islamic faith, unlike any other, is erroneously and incessantly associated with terrorism,” said Dr. Parvez Ahmed, a national board member of the Council on American Islamic Relations. “The association of a faith practiced by 1.2 billion people worldwide to terrorism creates the perception that the GWOT is a war against Islam.”
-No mention that the koran orders muslims to terrorize non muslims or that muslims commit more acts of terrorism than all other ideologies combined.

Around the world since 2001 there have been increases in the arrest and detention of Muslims.
-Good!

Dr. Ahmed explained that right after 9/11 World Trade Center attacks, the federal government subjected 80,000 Arab and Muslim immigrants to fingerprinting and registration, sought out 8,000 Arab and Muslim men for FBI interviews and imprisoned over 5,000 foreign nationals in anti-terrorism preventive detention compounds.
“These arrests and detentions did not result in the conviction of a single person for a terrorist crime. Thus the U.S. government’s record for the largest ethnic profiling campaign stood at 0 for 93,000,” he said.
-I guess he doesn’t understand that deportations, handing them off to other nations, sending them to military run prisons all count.

According to researchers in Paris, nearly 60 to 70 percent of all inmates are Muslim even though they only make up about 12 percent of the population. The Open Society Institute found that in the Netherlands 20 percent of adult prisoners and 26 percent of all juvenile offenders are Muslim while the country is only 5.5 percent Islamic.
-Which proves muslims commit crimes at a higher rate than anyother group. If anything the numbers suggest an increase in scrutiny is warrented.

In Belgium, researchers found Muslims from Morocco and Turkey make up at least 16 percent of the prison population, though just two percent of the general population. In the United Kingdom, 11 percent of prisoners are Muslim, though Muslims are only 3 percent of the population.
-More ammunition for the deport them all crowd. All it shows is more muslims behave in muslim societies and misbehave in non muslim nations.

“The Secret Services are stretched to capacity just in monitoring Muslims,” said Hillary Muhammad, student minister of Muhammad Mosque No. 1 in London. “Islam is the fastest growing religion in Europe. It’s like a fad here. Everyone young wants to be Muslim. When people are arrested they go in one way but they come out Muslims,” he said.
-Another theme that islam is growing in Europe. Although true in places it is through increased immigration and not conversion. It also fails to explain why so many muslims in Europe are leaving islam. Nor do numbers alone justify or explain actions or desolve responsibilities.

“Jail is becoming the breeding ground for Islam especially for Black and Asian teens. People migrate from war torn countries like Eritrea and Sudan as asylum seekers. The young members of the family share Islamic philosophy. They are converting people to Islam right and left.”
-They convert to stop abuse by mohammeds minions most re-convert as soon as they are released and safely away from muslim gangs.

Frank Cillufro, vice president of the Homeland Security Policy Institute at George Washington University told the media May 6 at the National Press Club that America has to recalibrate her response to terrorism.
-True, we do need to step it up a notch.

“We can’t kill and capture our way to victory. We can’t arrest away the problem. The solutions to this problem must come from within. I want to see more Islamic scholars be a part of the solution. They have to show how extremists are taking the dialogue out of context.
-Actually we can kill and capture our way to victory, we have plenty of nukes we could end islam in one day.

“America has to win the hearts and minds of the people,” he said. “Why are the vast majority of people killed Muslim?”
-Wow, this article is attempting to set a record by using all the current muslim propaganda themes. In reality the reason so many muslims are dying is simple-other muslims keep killing them. Muslims are by far the most efficient muslim killers bar none.

While the media has the world focused on Muslim countries, according to research, other groups commit the vast majority of worldwide terrorist acts.
-Lol, oh really? I guess if you skip Afghanistan, Iraq, most of north Africa and a few Island nations you could reach for the truth.

“Between 1980 and 2003, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelan, a group that recruits from the predominantly Hindu Tamil population in Sri Lanka and whose ideology is intertwined with Marxism, was the world’s leader in suicide terrorism. Despite this, Islamic groups receive the most attention in the Western media,” said Dr. Ahmed. “Suicide bombings are the product of modern political violence. Suicide bombings by Muslims are not the result of any Islamic ideology, but rather they are the result of the sociopolitical conditions of occupations (such as Palestine, Chechnya and Iraq) and the outcome of proxy wars fought in Afghanistan, where America not only armed the mujihadeen, but also enabled a culture of drugs and violence,” he said.
-The old apple vs oranges switch. Terrorism includes much more than suicide bombers and the Doctor should know that. Equally the actions of past groups and ideologies does not explain away or lesson muslim responcibilities for todays actions. For an educated man the doctor is a complete fool.

Dr. Ahmed also noted that terrorism is a word generally applied to “one’s enemies or those with whom one disagrees.”
-Negitive ghost rider. Try this one:
ter•ror•ism ˈtɛr əˌrɪz əm – [ter-uh-riz-uh m]
Noun
1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes.
2. the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.
3. a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government.

“Hence the decision to call someone or label some organization ‘terrorist’ becomes almost unavoidably subjective, depending largely on whether one sympathizes with or opposes the person/group/cause concerned,” he said.
-If it is just “subjective” why do apologists attempt to cover it up and explain it away?

“If one identifies with the victim of the violence, for example, then the act is terrorism. If, however, one identifies with the perpetrator, the violent act is regarded in a more sympathetic, if not positive (or worst, an ambivalent) light; and is not terrorism,” Dr. Ahmed said.
-Terrorism takes many forms but it can not be justified by any rational person or for any reason. Acts like deliberately targeting civilians, houses of worship, mutilation, indiscriminant bombing and other are all routinely used by muslims against both infidels and muslims. Try as they might apologists can not hide the simple fact that terrorism remains terrorism no matter who the victims were or why they were the target.

“In all aspects of this war we need a position of humility noting our own actions of the past,” said Dr. Douglas Johnston, of the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy.
“They (violent groups) are using scripture out of context. Religious legitimacy trumps everything. The answer to bad theology is good theology.
-Really a spin on the “we are the victims here” theme. The past he is talking about would naturally be western oppression of musilms and not muslim expansionism. He even attempts to explain away muslim on muslim violence. It is not “muslims” it is all “they” a mysteriously misguided but un-named people.

“One person, one vote was the last thing on people’s minds in Iraq. They wanted the ability to practice their religion. We missed the bet by not having religious leaders at the table. They’re deemed as being absolutists and not willing to negotiate. We have to deal with the religious leaders. They are the moral authority. They have to feel ownership because they have unrivaled influence at the grassroots level.”
-So the record numbers of voters were all confused by what exactly? I give them all more credit, I think they knew exactly what they were voting for.

  1. Chris Says:

Dr. Ahmed wouldn’t be spouting this tripe if he didn’t believe that many readers will agree. Whatever side of the argument one is on, we all need to reflect on what happened after Pearl Harbor was bombed in 1941, with 2,400 American deaths. The Shinto religion was virtually shut down because it was the source of the Japanese militancy. The Japanese Emperor was forced to renounce the religion of Shintoism which considered him to be God. Japanese people living in the U.S. were rounded up and interned in camps.

Why aren’t Americans realizing that we are faced with an even greater threat today? Perhaps, our humanitarian values wouldn’t permit rounding up Muslims and putting them in concentration camps, but at least we could point to the verses of the Quran calling on Muslims to make war on the infidels, to destroy cities, and to spread terror.
We should say to all Muslims, as long as your holy book calls for jihad against the infidels, we would be insane not to consider you hostile. This is something Muslims need to fix, PDQ. And by the way, what recognition or credit did the west ever get for their sacrificial efforts in Bosnia, Somalia, and Kuwait? If anything, it proved we bet on the wrong horse. And it is insanity to keep making the same mistake over and over, hoping the results will somehow be different.

  2. So, I noticed that the article is from the Final Call… Interesting…

Even Barrack Obama was smart enough to distance himself from the Anti-Semitic Louis Farrakhan and his Nation of Islam….

I just can’t believe so many people buy into his crap; but, I guess P.T. Barnum was right – there really is a sucker born every minute…

If you murder in the name of a false moon god called allah, you might be called a terrorist. If you get your arse in the air five times a day to pray to a false god called allah, then go ape sh$$ after Friday prayers for the destruction of Israel, you just might be called a terrorist.

There is a very good chance you are a terrorist, if you are a part of the religion of peace and male between 14-40.

Yes I profile, and I enjoy it.

  4. ER Says:

Of course this article’s claim isn’t true, it’s not all of Islam, just the part of Islam that wants to kill us and replace our society, as long as they don’t try to oppress us, no problem. Unfortunately, because so much of Islam is political, there are going to be increasing careless comments made that give the impression that the war on terror is against all “Islam”, which will only feed into a rallying cry to mobilize all Muslims by saying “see, it’s like the Quran says” and invert truth, turning us into the aggressors and oppressors when it’s the other way around. That’s why I try not to say “the problem is Islam”, and try to say “the problem is political Islam” or something like that, which people criticize me for saying I’m a dhimmi for not just saying Islam, in general, but that’d be just reckless talk (and imprecise).

Does political Islam blow up women, and children on buses, and Navy ships, or is it Islam out of context? How many bloody examples do you need ER before it is just Satan worship?

You hold to your view, and do not be telling us what to do with ours!
