Mosque Official Charged With Sexually Assaulting Boy, 13

NEW YORK — Suffolk County police have arrested a 53-year-old man in connection with the sexual abuse of a teenage boy in Long Island.
Niamatullah Ibrahim, of Selden, was charged with sexual abuse in the first degree and aggravated sexual abuse in the third-degree after a month-long police investigation led to his arrest on Tuesday.
Ibrahim works in the Selden Mosque of the Islamic Association of Long Island as a religious official. The 13-year-old boy he is accused of assaulting was attending some type of religious instruction at the mosque over a period of time, police said.
Ibrahim was arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip. He has been suspended without pay, according to Newsday.
Police said they are investigating whether any other allegations of assault against Ibrahim exist, but said they have no reason to believe that is the case.
Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to call the sixth squad at (631) 854-8652 or Crime Stoppers at (800)-220-TIPS.

are you idiots serious? first of all, his picture is not scary. he’s practically crying. if you judgmental fools look past the beard and into his eyes, you’d know. secondly, tons of people know this man and while no one really knows what happened (can you seriously take this thing, with literally no information, seriously? investigations are STILL being done, no one knows anything, he had no records of any other offenses, and people who knew him are in serious doubt of this offense because it’s not like his character at all. no one aside from this victim knows anything. and while I’m not saying it isn’t true (it should totally be investigated because things like that happen when nice guys are total psychos), I’m just getting annoyed that people who are given no information other than from taht article (btw, his nationality, the actual offense, even the freaking date changes from article to article. if you do some research, maybe you’ll realize NOT everything you read is 100% true. and maybe if you look past someone’s race or nationality (he’s not from Iraq. seriously), you’ll realize that not every person you meet with a beard is a freaking terrorist. You people go on about how it’s a sin to crticize Americans and their culture in another country and then you go and do the same? Grow up. And if you knew your history, you would know that every Islamic country does not follow Sharia, especially Pakistan (which isn’t even where he’s from. Give me a break). Lol, you have to love liberals, quick to defend the minions, accuse others of being prejudice and then quickly point out some other group is worse. Millions of Catholics, roflmao. Even if all Catholics where guilty of a crime islam would still have them beat for crimes against humanity by a wide margin. What I have noticed is muslims from every culture and in every free society have brought islam with them. Pedophilia, rape, murder, intolerance of other religions, nationalities, gays and women are commonplace. Molestation, rape and beatings of their own wives and children, are also common.
Want to know what I think is worse? Far worse? Even sick? All the other muslims hide these animals. I have never read a single report of a member of the muslim community stepping up and exposing, reporting or stopping any criminal act committed by another muslim. Granted a few have complained afterwards, none before. I do not know of one mulsim who ever reported a terror cell, helped law enforcement break up a criminal group or exposed the hiding place of a single honor murderer. As close nit as those communities are someone knows something.
So before you accuse Doc and I of being intolerant, ignorant or whatever the term of the day is remember this and check back to see if it is true. Tomorrow we will expose another criminal act committed by another muslim. Even if the victim is another muslim, which more times than not is the case. As I have pointed out for years, the biggest killers of muslims are other muslims. Talk about intolerance-they are a danger even to themselves.

To Dr. Bulldog’s Sahi Bukhari comment. You can copy and paste anything to prove your point from online. I can copy and paste sources that says Jesus was married and had kids or that he was even gay. Or maybe that God doesn’t altogether. I’d love to see the reactions at that point. The ‘fact’ you’re trying to prove that “and he consummated that marriage when she was nine years old.” has been debated many times and historians question the actual authenticity of that oft-repeated hadith. And it’s been suggested many many times that Ayesha, although could have gotten ‘married’ at young age, she didn’t move in with Mohammed and consummated the marriage till she was somewhere between 16-18. So stop the crap bout pedophilia and Mohammed while they’re hundreds of cases of actual priests committing sexual acts on little boys. This guy was just a JANITOR. I realized upon reading the articles that this will give the bigots a free card to let their bigotry run lose.
And one final thing..why is it always ‘muslim so and so this’ or ‘catholic so n so that’ or ‘jewish so and so this’ when it involves these kind of predatory cases. Obviously, you’re amentia prevents you from noting that MOST Islamic Scholars agree with the Hadith I quoted, and there are numerous other Hadiths that confirm what Sahih Bukhari Volume 5, Book 58, Number 236 is saying.

She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became Allright, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, “Best wishes and Allah’s Blessing and a good luck.” Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah’s Apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age. Volume 5, Book 58, Number 234
Narrated ‘Aisha: I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. Umm Ruman (my mother) came to me and I was at that time on a swing along with my playmates. She called me loudly and I went to her and I did not know what she had wanted of me. She took hold of my hand and took me to the door, and I was saying: Ha, ha (as if I was gasping), until the agitation of my heart was over. She took me to a house, where had gathered the women of the Ansar. They all blessed me and wished me good luck and said: May you have share in good. She (my mother) entrusted me to them. They washed my head and embellished me and nothing frightened me. Allah’s Messenger (, may peace be upon him) came there in the morning, and I was entrusted to him. Book 8, Number 3309.

I was then brought to the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him), and he took up cohabitation with me when I was nine. She halted me at the door, and I burst into laughter. Book 41, Number 4915:
Narrated AbuUsamah: The tradition mentioned above (No. 4915) has also been transmitted by AbuUsamah in a similar manner through a different chain of narrators. This version has: “With good fortune. ” She (Umm Ruman) entrusted me to them. They washed my head and redressed me. No one came to me suddenly except the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) in the forenoon. So they entrusted me to him. Book 41, Number 4916:
Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu’minin: When we came to Medina, the women came to me when I was playing on the swing, and my hair were up to my ears. They brought me, prepared me, and decorated me. So, all in all, the only point that really can be debated is, “was she 6 or 7 when Muhammad married her?” But, that is just splitting hairs as all traditional Islamic sources confirm that she was indeed only 9 years old when Muhammad had sex with her.
Qur’an
Even the Qur’an permits marriage to prepubescent girls. It’s in the waiting “periods” for divorce:
“O Prophet, when you divorce women, divorce them when they have reached their period. Count the period, and fear God your Lord. Do not expel them from their houses, nor let them go forth, except when they commit a flagrant indecency. Those are God’s bounds; whosoever trespasses the bounds of God has done wrong to himself. Thou knowest not, perchance after that God will bring something new to pass… As for your women who have despaired of further menstruating, if you are in doubt, their period shall be three months; and those who have not menstruated as yet. And those who are with child, their term is when they bring forth their burden. Whoso fears God, God will appoint for him, of His command, easiness.” Qur’an Sura 65:1, 4 Arberry translation
Here is just one of the many Islamic scholars that I can quote who verify the meaning of the above Sura from the Qur’an:
Maududi, Towards Understanding the Qur’an, volume 5, p. 620, note 13
“…Therefore, making mention of the waiting-period for the girls who have not yet menstruated, clearly proves that it is not only permissible to give away the girl in marriage at this age but it is also pemssible [sic] for the husband to consummate marriage with her. Now, obviously no Muslim has the right to forbid a thing which the Qur’an has held as permissible.”
Now, Christ DID NOT have sex with a prepubescent girl, but the false prophet Muhammad did.
Since Christians are told to be “Christ-like” and Muslims are told to be “Muhammad-like;” if a Christian engages in pedophilia, he does so in opposition to Christianity. However, if a Muslim engages in pedophilia, rape, murder, lying, etc. etc., he does so in compliance with Muhammadism.

It’s funny how you picked ONE of my comments about her age and found 3 hadiths to somehow try to prove me wrong. I took compartive religion at grad school so I know a thing or two about some of the symbolic verbiage that’s been used to described some of the events in essentially all major monotheistic religions. But I’ll give you some actual facts. Not the hadiths which ofen times go something like ’so and so narrated that so and so said that he saw so and so say this bout so and so’. Now, a lot of them ARE true but again, I’m sure you can appreciate the true meaning of lost in translation.
Some facts about Ayesha: According to a number of narratives, Ayesha (ra) accompanied the Muslims in the battle of Badr and Uhud. Furthermore, it is also reported in books of hadith and history that no one under the age of 15 years was allowed to take part in the battle of Uhud. All the boys below 15 years of age were sent back. Ayesha’s (ra) participation in the battle of Badr and Uhud clearly indicate that she was not nine or ten years old at that time. After all, women used to accompany men to the battle fields to help them, not to be a burden on them. Don’t give me crap about how she only stayed there for the pleasure of Mohammed because that in itself makes no sense considering NO OTHER wives accompanied their husbands as these wars were JIHAD, which was fought solely on religious grounds.
Also, according to almost all the historians Asma who was the elder sister of Ayesha, was ten years older than Ayesha. It is reported in Taqri’bu’l-tehzi’b as well as Al-bidayah wa’l-nihayah that Asma died in 73 hijrah when she was 100 years old. Now, obviously if Asma was 100 years old in 73 hijrah she should have been 27 or 28 years old at the time of hijrah. If Asma was 27 or 28 years old at the time of hijrah, Ayesha should have been 17 or 18 years old at that time. So Ayesha, if she got married in 1 AH (after hijrah) or 2 AH, was between 18 to 20 years old at the time of her marriage.
It wasn’t an Arab tradition to give away girls in marriage at an age as young as nine or ten years, nor did Mohammed marry Ayesha at such a young age. The people of Arabia did not object to this marriage, because it never happened in the manner it has been narrated.

Since you took comparative religion, then you should know what the “Sahih” means in the titles Sahih Bukhari or Sahih Muslim.
Sahih literally means sound, healthy, and without fault.
For a Hadith to be Sahih, the Hadith must have a consummate chain of transmission (isnad) in which there is no weak or broken link. ie – each link of the chain can be shown to be connected by a narrator who heard the narration from the prior narrator, etc., etc. The chain of narrators must be an unbroken chain.
Once the unbroken chain requirement has been met, each individual narrator on the chain of transmission is scrutinized and must be a just (adl) Muslim of good reputation.
Then, when the above two strict requirements are finally met, the text (matn) of the hadith must be in accordance with orthodox Islamic teachings.
Even the Suras contained within the Qur’an didn’t go through such intense scrutiny!
When a hadith meets all the proper qualifications for a Sahih Hadith, it must be accepted by all Muslims.
A Sahih Hadith is an obligatory Hadith.
The Sahih Hadiths, along with the Qur’an, are used as the main sources for Islamic jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh) in Sharia Law.
Obviously, for a Muslim who endeavors to follow the teachings and behavior of Muhammad, it would be imbecilic to deprecate the validity of the Sahih Hadiths just because it contains what one may consider to be an embarrassing account of Muhammad’s life.
I find it laughable that you are trying to use math based on nebulous logic to to refute ALL of the Sahih Hadiths AND the Tabari that flat out say that Aisha was 6 or 7 years old when she was married to Muhammad, and that she was nine years old when he had sex with her.
Surely they ALL can’t be wrong, especially those that came from the mouth of Aisha herself. Are you calling her a liar? Also, don’t give me that crap about the historical sayings in the Hadiths not undergoing as much scrutiny as the religious sayings. That’s just a bunch of bunkum Muslim “scholars” use when they are confronted with the truth concerning Muhammad’s perverted concupiscence.
Sunnis and Shias accept these Hadiths as being true. Even if, by some extraordinarily remote chance in Hell, you are correct about Aisha being much older, it doesn’t matter.
What matters is that MOST Muslims believe Aisha to have been a child when Muhammad had sex with her, thus giving them religious grounds for pedophilia.
In light of that fact, your argument is inefficacious in trying to prove that Islam doesn’t promote sex with prepubescent children.

As much of a time constraint I’m on right now, I’ll just say one quick thing about your ’sahi’ definition. No one doubts the validity of sahi hadith, however, as with Bible, Torah and even the Quran, the verbiage changes overtime, while the main jist of it remains intact. So as with this, the essence of the hadith remains true, but the translations change such as ‘I was a young girl’ from ‘I was really young’ etcetera.
I would suggest you take your sophmoric knowledge about Islam and the cut and paste arguments and keep them in this blog which quite ostensibly runs rampant with bigots.
