A Vote For Obama Is a Vote Against God Almighty

I wrote the following letter to my pastor.  I hope you will find it useful:

Biblical Guideline for Selecting a Leader:

  • Exodus 18:21 “Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens: “

Here, Jethro instructed Moses, who was the Sovereign ruler of Israel, to select God-fearing leaders over the tens, hundreds, and thousands.

Uniquely among the nations, God has made us (We the People) “Sovereign Citizens” of the United States.

We have a sacred duty to select God-honoring local, state, and federal leaders.

Being God-fearing suggests that a leader honors God and the Ten Commandments, is moral and just, and that the leader knows that one day he or she will give account to God.

John 14:21

  • He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Just because a candidate says or believes he is a Christian, that does not mean he is a Christian. A true Christian actually believes in Christ and what He has taught

First, I would just like to go over an interview conducted in 2004 with one of the candidates that PROVES he is NOT a Christian.

For the sake of brevity, I have selected key points in the interview. The transcript of the entire interview is available here:

http://falsani.blogspot.com/2008/04/barack-obama-2004-god-factor-interview.html

(Note: This just happens to be one of the sources for this interview. There are numerous copies of it available on the Internet, and it is also in Cathleen Falsani’s book, The God Factor.)

Chicago-Sun Time – Cathleen Falsani

    GG: What do you believe?

    OBAMA: I am a Christian.

So, I have a deep faith. So I draw from the Christian faith.

On the other hand, I was born in Hawaii where obviously there are a lot of Eastern influences.

I lived in Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world, between the ages of six and 10.

My father was from Kenya, and although he was probably most accurately labeled an agnostic, his father was Muslim.

And I’d say, probably, intellectually I’ve drawn as much from Judaism as any other faith.

(A patron stops and says, “Congratulations,” shakes his hand. “Thank you very much. I appreciate that. Thank you.”)

So, I’m rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people. That there are values that transcend race or culture, that move us forward, and there’s an obligation for all of us individually as well as collectively to take responsibility to make those values lived.

Alright, that was the opening remarks in the interview. Your “red flag meter” should already be twitching because Obama has just admitted that he is a polytheist. By drawing on “any other faith,” he is admitting that he doesn’t believe Christianity is good enough and so he is drawing from Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc., in an effort to create a religious belief that conforms to his own values and beliefs – not God’s! By the way; all of those “faiths” worship false gods.

Now, let us look at his statement wherein he said, “I believe that there are many paths to the same place and that is a belief that there is a higher power…”

This is SO unbiblical that I don’t even know where to start.

Perhaps it might be of interest to note that this is almost word for word paraphrasing the false doctrine of “New Age” cultists:

From “http://www.answers.com/new age”:

Much of New Age thought is syncretic in nature and has roots as a counter-cultural phenomenon. Thus New Age adherents tend to emphasize a relativist approach to truth, often referring to the Vedic [Brahmanism] statement of “one truth, but many paths,” the mainstay of Hinduism, which idea is also found in the later Zen Buddhist spiritual dictum of “many paths, one mountain“. This belief is not only an assertion of personal choice in spiritual matters, but also an assertion that truth itself is defined by the individual and his or her experience of it.

Note: Keep that last sentence that I have underlined in your mind, as I will be referring to it later on.

By the way, Self-spirituality, New spirituality, and Mind-body-spirit are other names oftentimes used by the adherents of the New Age cult.

This contradicts Jesus’ own words:

Matthew 7:13-14

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Now, just to make sure that we are not misunderstanding Obama, let us further explore his comments later on in the interview for some clarification:

OBAMA:[...]There’s the belief, certainly in some quarters, that people haven’t embraced Jesus Christ as their personal savior that they’re going to hell.

    GG:You don’t believe that?

OBAMA:I find it hard to believe that my God would consign four-fifths of the world to hell.

I can’t imagine that my God would allow some little Hindu kid in India who never interacts with the Christian faith to somehow burn for all eternity.

That’s just not part of my religious makeup.

Again, Obama’s belief directly conflicts with Jesus’ own statements:

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Why does Obama continually contradict what Jesus says? Perhaps the following will help shed some light on this:

    GG:Who’s Jesus to you?

    (He laughs nervously)

    OBAMA:Right.

Jesus is an historical figure for me, and he’s also a bridge between God and man, in the Christian faith, and one that I think is powerful precisely because he serves as that means of us reaching something higher.

And he’s also a wonderful teacher. I think it’s important for all of us, of whatever faith, to have teachers in the flesh and also teachers in history.

In Obama’s mind, Jesus is just an historical figure; just a flesh and blood teacher, as it where. Just another bridge between God and man like all the other prophets before and after him. Even the demonstrably false profligate “prophet” Muhammad is considered “a bridge” between God and man by Muslims.

Noticeably absent in Obama’s definition of who Jesus is to him is ANY reference to Jesus’ Divinity!

When asked the same question, I have yet to meet another real Christian who has failed to mention that Jesus is the Son of God, Lord and Savior, or any number of other statements that affirm Jesus’ Divine nature.

So, with a diminished view of exactly who Jesus Christ is, is it any wonder why Obama doesn’t believe Christ’s own words?

Let me remind you of what Jesus Christ told us:

John 14:15

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

By Obama’s refusal to believe in and abide by Christ’s words and commandments, he is demonstrating his disdain for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

At this point, I would like you to remind you of the earlier sentence I asked you to keep in mind:

…an assertion that truth itself is defined by the individual and his or her experience of it.

Remember, this is from the cultish New Age doctrine. Here is what Barack Obama believes sin to be:

GG: Do you believe in sin?

    OBAMA: Yes.

    GG: What is sin?

OBAMA: Being out of alignment with my values.

Did you catch that? Obama is defining sin as being out of alignment with his own individual values.

That, of course, is NOT what sin is. Biblically, sin is being out of alignment with God’s values and Commandments.

From his statement, it is pretty obvious that Obama believes that truth itself is defined by the individual and his or her experience of it; and not by God. Again, this is a New Age belief, and is not Biblical at all.

What all of this really means is that Obama believes the individual self is God! For he, himself is the deciding factor in determining what is and is not a sin.

It might be worth mentioning here that Oprah Winfrey subscribes to the same cultish beliefs. She demonstrates this time and time again by having numerous New Age psychics (Sylvia Browne comes immediately to mind) and authors (Eckhart Tolle, for example) on her television show. Just like Obama, she believes that there are many paths to heaven. She has even implied that she cannot believe that her God would condemn someone in a remote part of the world to Hell if they weren’t Christian. You can view a video of her attempting to defend her beliefs when a true Christian rightly points out to her that, “no man cometh unto the Father but by me [Jesus],” at YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aT6eyKn2rs

I find it quite interesting that they BOTH attended Rev. Wright’s Church.

Even more interesting is the response Obama gave during his interview when asked:

GG:… [Is there someone you would look to as] an example of a role model, who combined everything you said you want to do in your life, and your faith?

OBAMA:I think Gandhi is a great example of a profoundly spiritual man who acted and risked everything on behalf of those values but never slipped into intolerance or dogma. He seemed to always maintain an air of doubt about him.

I think Dr. King, and Lincoln. Those three are good examples for me of people who applied their faith to a larger canvas without allowing that faith to metastasize into something that is hurtful.

His first choice was Gandhi? The guy who wrote “love letters” to Hitler? The guy who thought the Jewish cry for a national home afforded a justification for the Germans to round them up and get rid of them?

From Front Page Magazine:

Mahatma Gandhi, wrote letters to Adolph Hitler that were deferential in their tone and abhorrent in their implications. A 1939 letter was apologetically described by Gandhi as a “mere impertinence” and included the following signoff: “I anticipate your forgiveness, if I have erred in writing to you. I remain, Your sincere friend, Sd. M. MK Gandhi.”

In a letter dated December 24, 1940, Gandhi assured Hitler that he had no doubt of “your bravery or devotion to your fatherland.” Zionist appeals for Gandhi to support a national home for the Jewish people, meanwhile, fell on deaf ears, as he insisted that “Palestine belongs to the Arabs.” Not only did Gandhi reject the cause of a Jewish state but he effectively echoed Nazi propaganda, as with his warning that “this cry for the national home affords a colorable justification for the German expulsion of the Jews.”

http://frontpagemagazine.com/Articles/Read.aspx?GUID=75C8F746-EDD4-49DC-9B18-2C740EEEB316

Okay, I’ll admit his second and third choices are good ones. After all, they are both Republicans…

But, the way the question was phrased – a role model who combined everything Obama said he wanted to do with his life and his faith – leaves only one answer for a Christian: Jesus Christ.

You would have thought that Jesus would have been mentioned somewhere in his answer, but He wasn’t. Nope. Nary a whisper of His name.

GG:Jack Ryan [Obama's Republican opponent in the U.S. Senate race at the time] said talking about your faith is fraught with peril for a public figure.

OBAMA:Which is why you generally will not see me spending a lot of time talking about it on the stump.

Alongside my own deep personal faith, I am a follower, as well, of our civic religion. I am a big believer in the separation of church and state. I am a big believer in our constitutional structure. I mean, I’m a law professor at the University of Chicago teaching constitutional law. I am a great admirer of our founding charter, and its resolve to prevent theocracies from forming, and its resolve to prevent disruptive strains of fundamentalism from taking root in this country.

As I said before, in my own public policy, I’m very suspicious of religious certainty expressing itself in politics.

I’m sure that if Barack Obama really understood the Constitution, he would realize that you can’t separate God from the Constitution.

Here’s what a couple of our forefathers had to say about religion as a guideline for governance:

Statesmen, my dear Sir, may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is Religion and Morality alone, which can establish the Principles upon which Freedom can securely stand.

    ~ John Adams, 1776

Of all the dispositions and habits, which lead to political prosperity, Religion and Morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of Men and Citizens. The mere Politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connexions with private and public felicity. Let it simply be asked, Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths, which are the instruments of investigation in Courts of Justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition, that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect, that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.

~ George Washington, Farewell Address, 1796

Okay, let me just highlight one more item from Obama’s interview:

Obama: Part of the reason I think it’s always difficult for public figures to talk about this is that the nature of politics is that you want to have everybody like you and project the best possible traits onto you. Oftentimes that’s by being as vague as possible, or appealing to the lowest common denominators. The more specific and detailed you are on issues as personal and fundamental as your faith, the more potentially dangerous it is.

In other words, he’s a typical politician… He will say anything to appeal to the “lowest common denominators.” That includes claiming to be a Christian in an effort to garner the Evangelical vote that was so important during the 2004 Presidential election.

However, I think I have abundantly demonstrated that Barack Obama is no Christian, as he does not really believe in Christ.

Let’s go on to his friends:

Proverbs 13:20

  • He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

1 Corinthians 15:33 (NIV)

  • Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”

And, of course, that old saying: “A man is known by the company he keeps.”

It is VERY important to know who a politician chooses as his companions.

Obama has chosen to align himself with the likes of:

Frank Marshall Davis – A known Communist/Marxist and sexual predator. In Obama’s book, Dreams of My Father, Obama calls him a close friend and tried to hide his identity by just calling him “Frank,” because Mr. Davis was a VERY well known Communist.

Saul Alinsky – A known Communist/Marxist and radical. One of his books on radicalism was dedicated to Satan. Obama was schooled in the Alinsky method of “organizing” which is a euphemism for “revolution” and Obama even went on to teach the Alinsky method of radicalism in workshops for several years..

Tony Rezko – A shady real estate agent who is now in jail.

Ali Abunimah – A Palestinian American and anti-Semite with ties to Islamic terrorists.

Greg Craig – Nicknamed “The lawyer of the Left” because he has a history of defending corrupt foreign leaders and murderers.

Bill Ayers – Unrepentant Weatherman Underground terrorist and Communist/Marxist.

Bernardine Dohrn – Wife of Bill Ayers. She was on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list. In reference to Charles Manson killing LaBianca, she came up with a three-finger fork salute, saying, “Dig it! First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them. They even shoved a fork into the victim’s stomach! Wild!”

Louis Farrakhan – Anti-white, anti-semitic leader of the Nation of Islam. Calls Obama, “The Messiah.”

Rev. Jeremiah Wright – “G-d Damn America!” Need I say more?

Cornel West – Communist/Marxist. Obama has placed him on his Presidential Campaign’s Black Advisory Council.

Rashid Khalidi – PLO terrorist supporter.

George Soros – Promotes view that America is institutionally an oppressive nation. Promoting the election of leftist political candidates throughout the U.S.

Jim Wallis – Long time champion of Communism.

Joyce and Tim Wheeler – Both Communist Party Activists. They are currently part of Obama’s campaign staff.

Democratic Socialists of America – Obama was a DSA member in the 1990′s. They groomed and backed his political career.

New Party – Was a Marxist political coalition. Obama sought their endorsement in 1996 and used many of the New Party volunteers as campaign workers.

ACORN – Masters of voter fraud under the guise of helping the poor, disenfranchised voters… Obama just recently gave them $800,000…

Anyway, the list goes on and on. Is there any doubt that Obama is actually a Communist hiding as a Democrat?

You might recall that Obama has just recently told “Joe the Plumber” that he wants to “redistribute the wealth.” That’s Communism/Marxism…

Let’s move on and consider the VERY FIRST thing Obama will do as President:

“The first thing I’d do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That’s the first thing that I’d do.” — Senator Barack Obama, speaking to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, July 17, 2007 – (http://www.nrlc.org/foca/index.htm)

And, here Americans were deceived into believe that the first thing he will do is to pull our troops out of Iraq. Yeah, right…

The Freedom of Choice Act is a pro-abortion bill that would remove state control over abortions and place it under federal control. Basically this will overturn EVERY single local, state or city law that interferes with abortion no matter how modest or reasonable. It will force taxpayers that do not believe in abortions to fund them through our federal tax dollars and remove protections for doctors and nurses who refuse to do abortions because they object on a moral basis.

Little wonder that he would do this, as he once famously quipped at a campaign rally, “…look, I’ve got two daughters. 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.”

Interesting. Here’s what the Bible has to say about that:

Psalm 127:3

Children are a blessing and a gift from the LORD. (CEV)

So, while the Bible calls them a blessing and a gift, Obama thinks they are a punishment…

No wonder he took such a disturbingly cold-hearted position concerning an issue that passed both houses of Congress unanimously in 2002.

That bill was the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. During the partial-birth abortion debate, Congress heard testimony about babies that had survived attempted late-term abortions. Nurses testified that these preterm living, breathing babies were being thrown into medical waste bins to die or being “terminated” outside the womb. With the baby now completely separated from the mother, it was impossible to argue that the health or life of the mother was in jeopardy by giving her baby appropriate medical treatment.

The Born Alive Infants Protection Act simply prohibited the killing of a baby born alive. To address the concerns of pro-choice lawmakers, the bill included language that said nothing “shall be construed to affirm, deny, expand or contract any legal status or legal right” of the baby. In other words, the bill wasn’t intruding on Roe v. Wade.

Who would oppose a bill that said you couldn’t kill a baby who was born? Not Ted Kennedy, Barbara Boxer or Hillary Rodham Clinton. Not even the hard-core National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL).

Obama, however, is another story. The year after the Born Alive Infants Protection Act became federal law in 2002, identical language was considered in a committee of the Illinois Senate. It was defeated with the committee’s chairman, Obama, leading the opposition.

Psalm 139:13

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.(NIV)

Jeremiah 1:5

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Exodus 20:13

    Thou shalt not kill

Let’s be clear about what Obama did, once in 2003 and twice before that. He effectively voted for infanticide. He voted to allow doctors to deny medically appropriate treatment or, worse yet, actively kill a completely delivered living baby. Infanticide – I wonder if he’ll add this to the list of changes in his next victory speech and if the crowd will roar: “Yes, we can.”

By the way, Obama publicly denies that he is for partial birth abortions, yet his previous words and actions show that to be a verifiable bold-faced lie!

I leave you with the following passages that have weighed heavily on my mind over the past three months:

1 Samuel 8:4-10, 18-19

  • 4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,
  • 5 And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
  • 6 But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD.
  • 7 And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.
  • 8 According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.
  • 9 Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.
  • 10 And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king.[...]
  • 18 And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day.
  • 19 Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us;

  1. Well written doc. Hope you don’t mind but I passed it on to a couple of friends and family members. Also posted it on the Patriotic Stand.

  2. tgusa Says:

    Obamas war.

    Aerial photos of the warzone.

Somehow I have to believe a real Messiah would have done a better job.

  3. sgtphoenix Says:

I would have to call you a hypocrit here. McCain, who has supported Bush almost 100% of the time has broken every commandment on a daily basis.

He was for a known illegal war, which violates “thou shalt not kill”

They invaded IRAQ for OIL, killed (some estimates) over a million innocent men ,women an children , That is coveting they neighbors house (oil)

They stole another countris OIL, so that breaks another commandment.

obviously, their idol is money, or they would not have went to take it, so they have broken, ” thou shalt have no other gods before me” since cash is McCains king also.

Jeeze, I could cover all 10 here just on iraq, what about the lies? False witness?

A vote for Obama is no more against God than McCain, A Three is KNOWN by it’s fruit and McCains is just as rotten as Obama’s!

Neither are Godly men, they are fakes, wolves in sheeps clothing, just as Bush Ladin is.

Now, let’s get to YOUR spiritual problem. God is pro choice, it is called free will. The weapons of your war should not be legal or political, but by prayer, because no amount of law can change the hearts of people, so it is obvious that you need to get on your knees and learn to pray to the one who can change hearts!’

Then you will be doing your resonable service to God!

  4. Ronin Says:

You are the hypocrite here; you have no way to know what commandments President Bush or Senator McCain break on a daily basis. In addition, it is not up to you to judge them, unless you are now claiming to be God.

Illegal war? But smashing planes into our buildings is ok? “thou shalt not kill” but the 12 thousand terror attack since 9/11 doesn’t count? If you really think we invaded Iraq for oil you are just another moron caught up so deep in leftist propaganda you will need a jackhammer to pull your head out of your ass.

Here is a news flash for you. You are an American hating left wing nutjob. Most of the Iraqis killed in this war were not killed by Americans. Many of the Iraqis saved were saved by American blood. The legally elected Iraqi Government, the Iraqi police and the Iraqi military are fighting along side our troops. To hold American troops responsible for Iraqi deaths is not only wrong it is treasonously so. In comparison to your blatant disrespect for our military, the rest of your rant is unimportant so I will not bother to address it.

I do have to say this. If you really believe in any deity (I doubt you do) you are the one who needs to get right with him. Maybe you should ask for clarity to see past propaganda and allow the evidence to become clear. Although I have not asked a single reader to vote for anyone, I do caution as many as I can – not to vote for someone with a proven record of failure, questionable relationships and a Marxist agenda like obama.

  5. ciccio Says:

I do not want to enter into any religious debate, you either believe or you do not. Thinking about religion did however provide me with another insight into Obama. Having lived with muzzies in their countries, I suspect I know a little more about them than most. One trait most have in common is their extreme isolation from non muzzies in all but business and politics. Muzzies do not mingle with Christians socially, it is haram. They do not have Christian friends, it too is haram
When in jail they object to sharing their cells with kafirs. They object to eating with non muzzies, they object to swimming with non muzzzies, the list is endless. Bearing all that in mind, the question arises of how come he roomed with two muzzies whilst at Columbia. What did he do when, five times a day, they stuck their arse in the air and knocked their brains out on the floor.
Did he take the opportunity to recite Hail Mary? Did he sing the hallelujah chorus? Or did he join the headbangers? An interesting question. The same applies to his trip to Pakistan, where the outward form of Islam is very strictly followed, if you are not seen in the mosque, the whole neighbourhood will question your piety. Whatever did he do when his buddies went to the mosque?

  6. Gramfan Says:

I never believed he was a Christian. Rev Wright doesn’t strike me as a pastor of exemplary qualities.

    This just confirms it all.

  7. az_conservative Says:

Interesting how similar Muslims and liberals actually are, isn’t it? Anything to further their agenda is OK? Muslim=Liberal=Communist…a rat by any other name.

  8. sgtphoenix Says:

I am, we (as christians) will judge the world! you need to learn scripture. A tree is known by their fruit, and what they do on a daily basis is write policy, and if that policy is against the word of God, then their fruit is bad! PERIOD!

We are not to judege by our human standards, but by the word of God, and they are ROTTEN!, their fruit is rotten.

Did you know that 17 of the supposed highjackers were SAUDI’s, yet not one attack on saudi, but rather afghanistan, where the taliban stopped the production of poppies, which make heroin. now, poppies are back in full swing and US soliders can not touch the crops, Wonder how I know this? I was a soldier!

Why did we attack iraq? they never supported terrorism!???

You and your type are a pit of vipers, you people need to pray! The Lord warned us that in the last days there would be “Strong Delusion” and that they would believe a lie!. Go ahead, listen to the main stream media.

Neither party is for America, we are heading into the one world government and you morons are leading the way! What fake christians you are here!

  9. sgtphoenix Says:

just caught az conservatives comment, I am neither right or left, I am for the eagle, your left / right paradigm is going to cost you your life one day. Remember, a house divided can not stand. You peiople need to pray badly!

  10. sgtphoenix Says:

By the way, I do not doubt you either, your fruit is rotten also! Live in deception! Die in Sin!

  11. Chris Says:

This is an important debate, and even though rocks may come flying out of my monitor soon after I hit the “Submit” button, some of the statements above would benefit from slightly different perspective.

    1. To say that a vote for Obama is a vote against God almighty sounds very much like a conversation Jesus had with the Pharisees about paying taxes to the Emperor. (Mark 12:13-17) Jesus made a clear distinction between what belongs to the Emperor and what belongs to God. This is echoed in Paul’s letter to the Romans in which he says, “Everyone must obey state authorities, because no authority exists without God’s permission, and the existing authorities have been put there by God.” (Romans 13:1-7) This was written when Christians comprised only a small percentage of the population, there were no elections by the voting public, and none of the rulers were Christian. In short, God Almighty would want us to vote for and support the best ruler possible and “show respect and honor for them all.”

    2. There is no requirement in the U.S. Constitution that the President be a Christian. More to the point, our nation was founded on the principle that the government would not mandate a specific religion — as was the case in Europe at the time, and as is the case in many Muslim countries today. Yes, our founding fathers were God-fearing men, and many of our Presidents have been “Christian,” but it is not and should not be a requirement any more than a person insisting that his heart surgeon be a Christian. Most people want to select the best and most qualified person for job — taking into consideration a wide range of considerations.

    3. It is patently unfair to judge one candidate’s “faith” without subjecting BOTH candidates to the same criteria. As far as I know, there is only one interview in which both candidates were asked the same questions at the same time about their faith. That was the interviews Rick Warren had with them at Saddleback Church. In those interviews Obama articulated how his personal Christian faith guided him in his daily life. McCain, on the other hand, said nothing about his personal faith but instead told his old stump story about the Christian prison guard in Vietnam. McCain did not testify to his personal faith when he was asked the same question at the same time by Pastor Warren. Go back and view the video on YouTube. Given your Old Testament criterion for selecting a ruler, we shouldn’t vote for McCain, either.

    4. There is another possible interpretation to Obama’s statement, “So, I’m rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place.” We have hundreds of Christian denominations in the United State, and perhaps what Obama was saying is that he believes that any number of those denominational paths lead to heaven. The largest denomination in the U.S. and the World is the Roman Catholic Church. Some Evangelical Protestants do not believe they are truly Christian. Perhaps Obama was signaling in his interview that he did not hold that position. By the way, if you want to get your dander up about Christians who believe there many paths, consider the Catholic Church’s Catechism 841 which says, “The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. ‘The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.’” While it has been demonstrated over and over that the Allah of Islam has nothing to do with the Judeo-Christian God (see “Allah: Is He God?” at http://www.answering-islam.org/Authors/Newton/allah.html ), here is the largest Christian church in the world still holding to the belief that they are one and the same.

    5. Pro-life vs. Pro-choice seems to be the overwhelming consideration of the Republican base, not only with regard to the choice of President but also with regard to future appointments to the Supreme Court. At Saddleback, McCain stated categorically that life begins at the moment of conception, whereas Obama said it was above his pay-grade to make that determination. I believe that every Pro-life advocate needs to go back and study the conception process. The moment of conception is when the sperm penetrates the egg in the fallopian tube. The resulting zygote begins to divide and grow at that time. It takes up to a week for the zygote to attach to the endometrium in the uterus. If the zygote doesn’t attach within that time, it dies. Guess what? The most widely used birth control pills work by preventing the zygote from attaching. So, using McCain’s definition of when life begins, just about very woman who is using birth control pills is, in effect, killing little human beings by preventing the zygotes (life that began at conception) from attaching to the endometrium. Obama is opposed to abortion and wants to do all he can to eliminate unwanted pregnancies, but he will not support any anti-abortion legislation that doesn’t have provisions for rape, incest, or the health of the mother. Talk to any rape victim and see if she wants to be burdened with the memory of that horrific attack for the rest of her life.

People of all faiths should certainly consider their personal religious values when voting for the President of the United States, but electing someone on that basis alone (or in exclusion to other, secular practical considerations like education, leadership, and experience) would be like picking a Christian podiatrist to do your open heart surgery.

He does have at least one good point… the Demo-craps & Re-Pubic-ians are not for God but for thier own idiot-ology and sin.

Attacking Saudi woulda cause WW3. How would that help any?

If we gotta attack the jihadist nutjobs we take them out cell by cell, websites, publications etc.

America is fracture Phoenix you should see that.

As for the ‘Strong Delusion’ it is easily shown by those who accept the new age movments illusions of ‘multiculturalism, combining religions, no sins” and assorted foolishness.

We are all sinners phonix dont forget that and dont be too quick to judge us…

I’m comfortable with my faith and seek my place in the hereafter according to God’s laws, not man’s. My fruit is rotten? Judge not…

I have no problem with electing candidates of any faith, gender, or race, but you are a fool if you think Islam is only a religion. It is not. It is a totalitarian system that crushes the spirit of dissent and individuality upon which this nation was founded BY CHRISTIANS, BTW–This is indiputable historical fact. Your unquestioning acceptance of Islamic nutcases who all share a mandate to kill, enslave or convert you will one day lead to YOUR death.

Given the level of censorship I’ve seen in the past few weeks, I am understandably alarmed by the prospect of an Obama Presidency. the potential for tyranny is very real, and I fear it as anyone with a brain should. As for the MSM, I haven’t watched TV for 5 years, due to the fact that cable is unavailable where I live and I have no use for the bias.

“Why did we attack iraq? they never supported terrorism!???” What about the 550 METRIC TONS of yellowcake uranium Saddam had? What was that for? You conveniently ignore facts that do not support your view. Aside from the well-known fact that Saddam had every intention of creating and using WMD against Israel and us, there is the question of the atrocities he was committing against his own people. He was a ruthless, murderous, genocidal monster and that is reason enough to depose him. WMD and his support for terrorism were not the only reasons to invade Iraq, and having spoken with many Iraqis both here and on the Web, I can tell you they seem pretty happy that we got rid of their murderous dictator.

Speaking of which, the unconscionable support and tolerance liberals show to dictators is puzzling to me. How can liberals be so tolerant of monsters like Hugo Chavez, Saddam Hussein, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and the Castro twins, yet be so hateful toward Americans who disagree with you? Once again, it is clear the only speech that liberals will tolerate is their own. All dissent is to be silenced. Perhaps you are the one who is deluded…

I salute you for your service to our country, but your attitude that nothing is ever worth fighting for is saddening. The only thing worse than war is never having a good enough reason to fight. Also, I said nothing about you being left-right (or about you specifically, period), but your reaction to my observation is telling…

Chris, I am not voting for Obama because I deeply disagree with his plans and policies. I don’t want Socialism, and I won’t vote for a candidate who plans to impose it. Believe me, John McCain isn’t my first choice, but he is the lesser of the evils here. My vote for McCain is a vote against Obama. If he shared my values, I would happily vote for him,

Also, Obama is pro-life? Are you nuts? He supports not only abortion, but INFANTICIDE! Look up the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. He voted against it in Illinois, even after specific wording was added to protect Roe v. Wade. Stop spouting what he says now, and look at his record! HE IS LYING NOW to get your vote.

Yes, it looks like you’re doing a lot of judging. And it sounds like you’re not in touch with the “real” issues here.

Haven’t seen your “handle” on this blog before, but I’m fairly new myself.

I suggest you look at that picture of Obama at top right where it says, “Why You shouldn’t vote for Obama”. Lengthy, but revealing. Article written by an Iranian who cannot be identified or he is a target by Iran. His family was killed by them. He’s done a very detailed, indepth study of Obama and tells that Obama is not mentally suitable to be president of the United States – he’s like Hitler.

Then scroll to the article, “What’s Your Problem With the KKK?
Scroll on down to where it show “comments”, click and see the first comment from “Dee”. Click the link she has provided. This will give you quite a different view of Obama – and what some of us have been saying about the supporters acting like they’re hypnotized. I DARE YOU TO READ AT LEAST FIVE OF THE 67 PAGE DOCUMENT.

I figure you are in late twenties or early thirties. You’ve a way to go yet before you are going to be able to “read” a person. Obama’s religion is not the main issue here. If you read all of Doc’s letter, you’ll notice the “friends” he has. You know the adage: “Birds of a feather flock togeher”.

Also, if you’re new to this blog, search for the “Judicial Watch” article which has been able to obtain his records while a Senator in Illinois. He “earmarked” for grants that were to be used for projects in Chicago benefitting the people. The money went to members of his family and to friends. Rev. Jeremiah Wright got a grant then donated some of the money back to Obama. The projects failed to be done.

The same day Judicial Watch was posted, a blogger happened onto a document in archives that the socialist “New Party” thought they’d “scrubbed” when the party was shut down in Chicago. Obama is listed as a member. He was elected to the Illinois Senate through them.

Also, the lawsuit in Eastern District Court in Pennsylvania that has been filed by Philip J. Berg, a prominent Democrat attorney who has many “exhibits” of evidence proving Obama is not a legal citizen and Obama and DNC have refused to produce proof and keep getting the lawsuit delayed. And have you heard about the lawsuit in Seattle just recently filed by a Mr. Marquis, demanding Secretary of State of Washington get proof of Obama’s eligibility or take him off the ballot?

Have you heard mainstream media give you any information about any of these things? Of course not. Have you heard about his “Truth Squad”, trying to get state Sheriff’s and prosecutors to stop any individual, radio or TV station from giving out information he himself would deem to be misleading or a lie. Has your media told about his donations being investigated because of large sums of money coming in from foreign donations, which is illegal. And phony names.

Incidentally, Doc was in the U.S Air Force, so served his country, too. He was an assistant pastor in rough part of Oakland, CA and was attacked by hoodlums and hospitalized. He has mentioned the congregation of the church he attends is mostly black. He knows many black people are voting for Obama purely on his race, as many students in my grandchildrens’ schools tell them their parents are voting for Obama because he is the “first black person to run for U.S. president” Now if this isn’t stupid, what is? Even Martin Luther King, Jr didn’t want people to let the color of the skin sway their actions.

These bloggers have tried to give people the truth. They’ve uncovered many important things that mainstream media isn’t reporting. You’ aren’t getting the truth from them either. Unfortunately, the American people have been kept in the dark about too many things, then learn about them when the crisis hits.

I sincerely do hope you read those articles I mentioned. As Christians we need to be aware of what’s happening. Christians need to be involved in our government decisions and to vote. Bad people are elected because good people don’t vote.

  15. I’m pleased that you all are debating this topic.

Please note that this letter was written to my Pastor. That is why it centers on the religious aspects of selecting a candidate.

It concentrates on Obama because he claims to be a Christian, but obviously is NOT.

If you listened to KMOV’s video concerning the Truth Squads in Missouri, you probably will recall that Obama’s representatives from the Truth Squad said that they wanted to remind everyone that Obama is a Christian.

They put it out on the table first, not I.

I have merely shown that Obama is NOT a Christian, using his own words and actions.

    Chris,

“There is another possible interpretation to Obama’s statement, “So, I’m rooted in the Christian tradition. I believe that there are many paths to the same place.” We have hundreds of Christian denominations in the United State, and perhaps what Obama was saying is that he believes that any number of those denominational paths lead to heaven.”

No, that’s not what he is saying. He clarified what he meant with the following:

“I can’t imagine that my God would allow some little Hindu kid in India who never interacts with the Christian faith to somehow burn for all eternity.

That’s just not part of my religious makeup.”

Having been an assistant pastor at a black church in Oakland, CA, I can assure you that I have encountered this non-Biblical New Age rhetoric time and time again.

Having studied it in depth for a number of years, and written papers about it, I’m what you might call, “an expert.”

Rev. Wright, Obama, and Oprah all subscribe to the same set of New Age beliefs.

They are not true Christians; they are CINO’s (Christians In Name Only). Period. End of story.

Chris, Again I’m not going to get in an abortion debate with you. We both differ on our beliefs.

However, Obama DOES support partial birth abortion. A practice so hideous that not even Ted Kennedy, Barbara Boxer, Hillary Clinton, or even NARAL approves of it.

Obama’s willingness to kill live, breathing children is pretty scary when you think about it.

Now, since I see that others are wondering why I didn’t bring in McCain’s religious beliefs into this, it is because McCain DOES NOT go around telling everyone he is a Christian and making an issue out of it.

Remember, Obama DID make an issue of claiming to be a Christian when his Truth Squads were instructed to “assure” everyone that he was a Christian.

Part of the problem with casual Christians is that they believe that just because someone claims to be a Christian, then that person must subscribe to the same core beliefs as they, themselves do and, as such, they are easily deceived by such persons.

Just take a look at the Jehovah’s Witnesses. They claim to be Christian, yet deny Christ’s Divinity.

Because Obama obviously wants everyone to think that he is a Christian, it MUST be explained to REAL Christians that Obama IS NOT a real Christian.

BTW – I’m voting for Sarah Palin – a TRUE Christian.

    Cheers

Obama’s foreign donations is one way to get foreign investment in the US. :-) And he’s no doubt helping out the struggling media, as well, so I guess there’s good news to everything (sarcasm).
