Putin Wanted to Hang Georgia’s President “by the Balls”

Putin planned to topple the president of Georgia and ‘hang him by the balls’, says Nicolas Sarkozy’s chief adviser

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin threatened to oust the President of Georgia and ‘hang him by the balls’ during a top level summit with Nicolas Sarkozy, according to a top aide of the French president.

The outspoken former Russian premier is said to have issued the furious warning after Sarkozy flew to Moscow to broker a peace deal after Russia invaded their troubled neighbouring state.

Putin’s menacing tirade was overheard by Sarkozy’s chief adviser Jean-David Levitte during talks between the two leaders on August 12.

In an interview with this week’s high-brow news magazine Le Nouvel Observateur,  Mr Levitte recounted how Putin exploded after Sarkozy told him the world would not accept Russia toppling Georgian leader Mikhail Saakashvili and installing a puppet government.

Mr Putin then stormed: ‘I am going to hang Saakashvili by the balls.’

Mr Sarkozy responded: ‘Hang him?’

Putin said: ‘Why not? The Americans hanged Saddam Hussein.’

Mr Sarkozy replied: ‘Yes but do you want to end up like Bush?’

Mr Putin was was then briefly lost for words before answering: ‘Ah, you have scored a point there.’

Mr Sarkozy’s advisers said later that the heated exchange marked the moment that Mr Sarkozy persuaded Mr Putin and President Medvedev to begin withdrawing troops from Georgia, which had been trying to take controls of its semi-autonomous regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

President Saakashvili is said to have laughed nervously when he was told of the  threats during a live radio interview in Paris on Thursday where he is on a state visit to France to meet Sarkozy, who will then be chairing a European summit attended by President Medvedev in Nice on Friday.

Mr Saakashvili went on to criticise Europe, saying that the EU’s acceptance of the Russian occupation of Georgian provinces was like saying that the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1938 was also acceptable.

And he voiced dismay at France’s lead in trying to restore EU relations with Moscow, and Sarkozy positioning of himself as Russia’s main ally in western Europe.

He said: ‘I never imagined a few months ago that I would be saying such things but unfortunately those are the facts.

‘I don’t feel that Europe has abandoned Georgia just yet.  But if it happens, all my values, all my personal principles, all my promises to my people, will be destroyed.’

Meanwhile President Medvedev told French daily Le Figaro ahead of Friday’s summit that Moscow was ready to reverse its decision to station missiles close to the Polish border if the new American administration after Bush decided to abandon its own anti-missile system in central Europe.

Mr Medvedev added:  ‘We hope to build frank and honest relations and resolve with the new administration the problems that we have not managed to resolve with the present one.

‘The new American president enjoys great confidence. He has been elected in a very complicated time and I wish him a lot of luck in his post.’

  1. The world has already forgotten history! Bush didn’t hang Saddam. The Iraqis gladly tried him, convicted him, and hung him as he should have been hung for the crimes against humanity he perpetrated on the Iraqi people! The Russian people should hang Putin and be glad for it! Putin is dangerous and as far as I am concerned this evil dude is going to help bring in the anti-Christ if you ask me!

True. True. But, careful now. We must not let facts get in the way. I mean where would the world-wide Hate America Movement be if they let actual events and truth shape their opinions. Even our media plays that game and millions of self-loathing Americans buy into it.

Facts are irrelevant in history. The only thing that matters is what you can convince the people to belive. If you can convince the world the Tet Offensive was a victory for the Viet Kong then that will be the truth. It will become the truth. It will be the truth. It doesn’t matter that the Tet Offensive practically wiped out the Viet Kong all facts that don’t fit your world view or political ideology can get flushed down the memory hole and you have won. It doesn’t mater that the Crusades were a belated attempt to regain territory from the Moslem armies who had conquered them and drove out the original mostly Christian or Jewish inhabitants. All that matters is what you can get people to belive.

Orwell was a prophet. He just missed the year but his words should be a warning engraved on the minds of men for eternity.

We need to hear from poster Che. I’d love to get his take on Obamamania since it seems like Russia is one of the few countries immune to this phenomenon. At that rate I might have to move there, Putin or no Putin!

Sheesh-what’s Putin’s problem with the Georgian president that he’d want to do that to him-not even Beslan seems to have upset him as much (though it should have).

You know.. Putin is pretty damn straightforward sometimes. The only thing that is nuts about it, is that he will tell people “I’m gonna hang you by your balls!” And then when he does it, they look so surprised. Imagine how Obama is gonna feel when Putin politically knifes him in the back like the leftard he is.

Well he is ex KGB and they are not known for playing around with people.

  7. Letters,

“Well he is ex KGB “

I’m not too sure about that “ex” part…

    Cheers

  8. letterstoadyingdream Says:

I’ll have to concede that point to you considering what we would call ex KGB is mostly what Russia calls it’s government.

  9. CavMom Says:

President Saakashvili should not be surprised with France’s stand in support of Russia as France seems to always side with the side that shows to be the biggest bully. (and they wonder why the rest of the world thinks they are yellow?)

As for Poootin ~ Yeah we trust that you will pull back and disarm your missiles just as soon as we do. Doc, where is the Kool-aide Poootin is offering?

(btw – in our house the term poootin means passing gas)

    CavMom,
(btw – in our house the term poootin means passing gas)
ROFLMAO! Based on that, it will be hard to tell which is the bigger gas bag: Obama or Putin. My bet is on Obama for maximum foul smelling hot air. Putin actually means what he says. He’ll take Obama to the woodshed for a serious caning.
