Russia’s ruble drops to 3-year low against dollar
This morning a bunch of Russian kids posted a few anti American comments. Here is reality. Take that you little commie bastards.
26 December, 2008, (AP) MOSCOW – Russia’s ruble fell to a three-year low against the dollar Friday after the Central Bank allowed a third sharp drop in the currency in five days as the government continues to feel the heat of the global meltdown.
The ruble lost 1.4 percent on the MICEX main foreign currency exchange by 2 p.m. Moscow time (1000 GMT) to reach 34.3 against the euro-dollar basket. It sank to 29 against the dollar _ a level that hasn’t been seen since 2005 _ and 40.8 against the euro _ an all-time low.
-Poor commies, try eating your money, or use it for TP
The Central Bank set the official exchange rates for the dollar and euro in line with trading quotes.
The depreciation was the third in just five days, and the 11th since Nov. 11, when the supervised slide began.
Amid diving oil prices and the associated market downturns, it is unclear where the slide will end as the government continues its policy of a managed float rather than releasing the ruble altogether.
The Kremlin gave a sign of things to come, however, when its top economic adviser, Arkady Dvorkovich, said in comments televised Thursday that the ruble would continue to drop into the new year, and forecast a 2009 average of “a little under” 32 rubles. He said, however, that there would be no currency collapse.
-Enjoy your food kitchens
The ruble is almost 14 percent down this year, and 8.8 percent down since the war in Georgia in August.
Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev said in televised remarks earlier this week that the ruble will become “a bit more flexible” to reflect the economic situation.
The Kremlin is anxious to avoid a repeat of the 1998 financial crisis, when Russians rushed to withdraw their savings as the ruble plummeted.
It has stuck to the line that it will not allow any dramatic falls in the ruble despite analysts’ recommendations to devaluate the ruble in one go.
-On a more positive note. The kids will not get new computers and can not piss off Ronin. I don’t even like American teens you can guess what I think of yours

Yes, Russian exports will become much cheaper and Russian imports will become much more expensive.
Given the fact that Russia imports everything including food and exports mostly natural resources future is not going to be kind to Russia.
To be fair Russia has a chance not to go through 1998-like banking crises this time for they became smarter and government had issued few similar-to-FDIC guaranties. The question is will Russian people buy it or not. Hard to tell.

I see that our little Nashi buddies from udaff.com are freaking out over the bad news. Too bad, little Nashi’s.
Of course, our little buddy, ещe ларсеН (aka – Larsen88) is beating the drums for them.
http://udaff.com/politsru/93992.html
And, the “commander” (команданте янкам-в-дудль – aka kom71)is a little upset that Ronin is deleting their messages…
http://udaff.com/politsru/93981.html
How dare he! LOL
Of course, they conveniently forgot to mention that any harsh criticism of Putin, Medvedev, or the Kremlim can get you deleted from udaff.com, not to mention a red mark on your record at the Kremlin—flagging you for a lining up against the wall in a few years…
Anyway, I put this comment here to let our Nashi buddies and their ilk know that we regret to inform them that we are NOT responsible for your economy’s recent decline. That’s just the way it goes when your leaders put all your eggs in the oil basket. We warned you about that, but you were too busy slamming us for saying that Putin was evil…
Stop wasting your time trying to vilify the West. You are doing exactly what the Kremlin has programmed you to do – to always protest against the West and blame them for everything so that you don’t notice the corruption in your government and that your rights are being stripped away.
If you really want to do something productive, PROTEST THE CORRUPTION IN YOUR OWN GOVERNMENT!
Because, wasting your time attacking the messenger is just that – a waste of time. Sure, you may feel like you are accomplishing something, but believe me, the only thing you are accomplishing is the willing destruction of your country by being a blind fool who is led around like an automaton by the Kremlin. While you are busy attacking the West, your government is busy stripping away your freedoms.
Freedom isn’t the ability to say “F**k” every other word when commenting on a website.
Freedom is the ability to say, “F**k the Government” without worrying about any repercussions whatsoever…
Let’s see you try that with Putin, Medvedev, and the Kremlin. Then, let’s see how “Free” you really are…

doctorbulldog,
I do not think those guys will understand you. They do not think the way you do.
Their freedom and their Rights are distant second to them. They do not know what it is and what to do with it.
Just imagine an animal which was born and raised in a cage and suddenly was let out of it. First instinct would be to run away then after getting hungry and cold second instinct would be to come back despite past harsh treatment. Now if you will realize that first part was during Yeltsin times you will understand that Putin represents the second part.
Russia never had a democracy. It had anarchy during Yeltsin times and when Putin came he started tightening nuts. Most of the Russians immediately sensed familiar environment and readily accepted it. Let’s just say Moses was walking Jews in the desert in circles for 40 years for a reason. Anyhow, for the time being those guys do not take your talk of freedom and democracy seriously. Wait for few decades, their children might pick up the torch if all will go well for Russia.

“And, the “commander” (команданте янкам-в-дудль – aka kom71)is a little upset that Ronin is deleting their messages”

“Our Great Industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is privately concentrated. The growth of the nation? therefore? and all our activities are in the hands of a few men…Who necessarily, by very reason of their own limitations? chill and check and destroy genuine economic freedom.
We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated government in the civilized world-no government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and the duress of small group of dominant men.
- Woodrow Wilson”

Dear “I hate US’ ~ Bless your heart. I do understand where you are coming from.
I am a Charger’s fan and in the past I have often found myself despising others who are better, stronger, and more brilliant than my team. For years I have held a grudge against the New England Patriots; hoping they would falter and we would reign supreme over them.
This must be how you feel… all these years living in a country where you can only hear of our greatness, but never be a part of it.
HUGS to ya… You dear, dear deprived child.

Speaking of Dmitry Medvedev (President of Russia):
Dmitry Medvedev would despise George W. Bush.
George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).
And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention.
Many people know what Bush did.
And many people will know what Bush did—even to the end of the world.
Bush was absolute evil.
Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.
Bush is a psychological prisoner.
In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.

(I can type 90 words per minute. In only 7 days, posts basically like this post of mine have come into existence—all over the Internet (hundreds of copies). One can go to Google right now, type “George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism,” hit “Enter,” and find more than 550 copies indicating the content of this post. All in all, there are probably more than 2,000 copies on the Internet indicating the content of this post—it has, in a way, become headline news. One cannot be too dedicated when it comes to anti-Bush activities. As I looked back at my good computer work, I thought how fun and easy it was to do it.)

I am not sure where I had read it before, but anyway, it goes kind of like this: “If only it were possible to ban invention that bottled up memories so they never got stale and faded.” Oh wait—off the top of my head—I think it came from my Lower Merion High School yearbook.

This is very interesting:
“I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention. Many people know what Bush did.”
Yes, >>Wink Wink<<
Everybody knows …
When do think you might be at liberty to reveal this information …
Personally, I think he’s evil for stealing territory from Serbia, as is Clinton, for the same reason. As is Obama, for the same reason.
Apparently I’m at liberty to say so. What evil force keeps your tongue frozen so?
