Halifax, Virginia: A store clerk fights back during a robbery, shooting the would be robber.
The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office says the incident took place at Max’s Grocery in Scottsburg on Monday.
The clerk tells deputies that a man walked into the store around 6:30 p.m., pulled out a handgun, and demanded money. The clerk then shot the would be robber in the chest, and the robber ran out.
The clerk then called deputies. Officers used a tracking dog, and found the robber in the woods near the store.
Deputies arrested Richard Anthony Snead, and charged Snead with attempted armed robbery, as well as use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. EMS crews took Snead to MCV Hospital in Richmond for treatment.

I wonder what caused Richard to try, and rob a little store. Perhaps, he was hungry after losing his job from NAFTA.
Not that I excuse robbing, But, I hate how this country is being sold out, and individuals are having to defend themselves from all sides.
Folks like Richard maybe just POS, then again I have heard people talk after losing their jobs to Mexico about robbing a bank.
Sorry about the rant.

leatherneck,
I second that rant!!!
Has anyone noticed how much “self-defense” shooting news there is all of a sudden? This stuff has been happening all over forever, but it seems to be reported a lot more lately…why?
I suspect there are a lot of Americans so enraged over what’s happening they are on the brink of snapping….it won’t take much to push them over the edge.

So can this be reported as a bail out request gone bad?
