Obama Backing Down on Missile Defense System in Europe
Obama should just give up on the notion that he’s going to somehow miraculously endear an increasingly hostile Russia. As long as Putin and his thugs are running things, Russia will continue to bully any country that they feel is a threat just because it is higher up on the world ladder. America is top dog, so America will always be slammed the hardest. If you want to play chess with Russia, you have to judiciously ignore the obvious threats, don’t give up any strategic ground, and pay intense attention to those seemingly insignificant pawn movements.
Obama has already lost the game…

Obama Offers Russia Secret Missile Defense Deal
By VOA News
03 March 2009
U.S. news organizations are reporting that senior U.S. administration officials say U.S. President Barack Obama has offered Russia a deal involving a controversial plan by the U.S. to deploy a missile defense system.
The reports say Mr. Obama wrote his Russian counterpart, Dmitri Medvedev, and suggested that the U.S. would reconsider plans to deploy the defense system in Eastern Europe, if Moscow would help to stop Iran from developing long-range weapons.
[First of all, the real concern should be directed at the nuclear proliferation by Russia. Secondly; Yeah, right! Like the Ruskies are going to stop helping Iran! Oh, they may feign a stoppage, but they aren't really going to stop... This is all just a waste of time and will do nothing to prevent the inevitability of a nuclear Iran. And, it will leave Europe defenseless. Way to go, Oh Great Oppressor! You're an idiot! ]
In Spain Tuesday, Mr. Medvedev said no such exchange was offered and that it was “not productive” to link talks over the missile defense system with Iran’s nuclear program. He also said Moscow is ready to discuss missile defense plans that meet the interests of Russia, Europe and the United States.
The letter was first reported in The New York Times newspaper.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will discuss missile defense with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton when they meet Friday in Geneva. Presidents Obama meets Mr. Medvedev in London April 2.
The missile defense plan angered Moscow when it was proposed by the Bush administration. Former U.S. President George W. Bush said it was needed to deter Iran in case Tehran developed a nuclear warhead to fit on long-range missiles.
The Bush administration’s plans included building a high-tech radar facility in the Czech Republic, and deploying 10 interceptor missiles in Poland — two nations that Russia once considered within its “sphere of influence.” Mr. Bush rebuffed a Russian counter-proposal to install part of the system on its territory and jointly operate it.
Russia has developed economic and military ties with Tehran, and has resisted the hardline U.S. stance against Iran.
U.S. Vice President Joe Biden has used the phrase “press the reset button” (just start over) to describe the Obama administration’s goal of reviving and renewing U.S. relations with Russia

Just another example of the Peter Principle. obamallah does not know what he is doing or how to do anything constructive.

Within secular humanism everyone is good inside. You just have to talk long enough to find it. The CFR run State Department is full of fools that believe the above stated is true.
Russia will see this as weakness.

Like a voice crying in the wilderness I will dissent here yet again and say that Obama’s proposal reveals that the Czech and Polish missile shields are clearly part of a an anti-Russian initiative on the part of NATO, otherwise it would make no sense to offer there removal as a “reward” to Russia.
This is clearly attempted blackmail, and part of NATO’s socialist antichristian aggression against the non-communist non-NWO Orthodox Christian world.
Putin correctly represented his nation’s interests (in a way that is incomprehensible to traitors like Obama, Clinton, Bush, Blair, Merkel, etc), and definitively put Child Obama in his place by telling him to go get screw himself, and by threatening to get closer to Iran and increasing Russian military strength in the Black Sea and in Königsberg/Kaliningrad if the United States’ Communist administration doesn’t end it’s aggression.

The Kremlin seems to believe that at this point in time a Christian Slav and Persian Shia alliance is unfortunately necessary for the sake of national survival in the face of the insurgency threat from irredentist Sunnis and the related existential threat from the Socialist-Eurabian-Sunni Axis of Mecca, Washington and Brussels.

This entire missile situation has been raising endless questions. One of my chief concerns is over Russia’s neighboring countries. If the missiles are actually removed, will that isolate and potentially endanger other Eastern European countries against Iran/Russia? At the very least, it will worry these countries. Honestly, as emphasized by Medvedev’s lack of assurance over any missile-removal deal, I don’t think Russia is at all concerned over United States/Iranian relations. I watched an interesting summary video on all of this at newsy.com. It’s worth watching:

Re: “If the missiles are actually removed, will that isolate and potentially endanger other Eastern European countries against Iran/Russia?”
And why would Russia nuke Europe? Especially, why would Russia attack nuclear-armed France and Britain, that also have nuclear subs? If Russia does end up in a war with the US-EU-NATO’s Communist-Sunni Axis, the principle of M.A.D. would surely apply.
And I seriously doubt that a missile from Górsko could intercept a missile from Kaliningrad, never mind a missile from a Russian sub in the Atlantic.
