Concealed Carry Debate in Springfield

I am not a big supporter of carrying a licensed weapon as several states are putting personal information like type of weapon and the owners address on line to intimidate gun owners. Unless you live in Kalafornia I’m betting as long as you have a jury trail and had a good reason to bust a cap in a criminal you will get off with a light fine and a hand slap. I am willing to risk all on that plan. Still dependant on where you live at least a few of you should carry legal firearms. It keeps criminals and politicians scared but I repeat myself.

Even as thousands of gun owners rally in Springfield, their leaders concede there’s little chance of major firearms legislation passing this year.
-The important thing is the people are taking a stand. The people want to feel safe and they do not plan to wait until crime in their state stops on its own. Just do me a favor if you ever see someone attack a politician do the right thing. Go home clean your weapon, eat a nice meal, walk the dog, take a brief nap and within a day or so call 911.
Instead, they’re trying to build toward a future vote on a concealed carry law that would let Illinoisans carry guns in public.
-I’m betting in most inner city neighborhoods they already carry concealed guns in public.
Illinois and Wisconsin are the only states without a concealed carry law.
-Oh, then they have no crime (sarcasm)
The National Rifle Association and the Illinois State Rifle Association hope Illinois will approve the idea eventually, but they don’t expect quick action.
-I am betting wearing t-shirts with “unlicensed gun owner” would get a few smiles.
This year, their focus is on blocking gun-control measures, such as restrictions on who can sell guns and how many people can buy.
-As a law-abiding man I can honestly say; I do not own any weapons, ammunition or plan to buy any (registered ones). If you do not believe me check the records, there is not a single weapon registered under the name “Ronin”. I hope all you gun grabbers feel safer now
Views on gun control tend to depend more on geography than party in Springfield.
But most of the top lawmakers are from Chicago and they support gun control.
-They have bodyguards and live in gated communities; if you live there, you are safe, no crime will ever take place there. Leave your doors unlocked and let your bodyguard have a few days off each week, you have nothing to worry about. Just do not look in your drug abusing sons room, that stain on your families honor is packing heat.
