Yet another crazed murderous muslim imam.

If you read our threads, you will see claims by islamic apologists that the US supports only Israel and that we are at war with islam. The claims are false but used to justify all sorts of violence against our forces and nation. Our military crushed islams two biggest armies and could easily defeat the standing armies of all islamic nations combined. If we were truly at war with islam, all our troops would be home already. Just like, Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Africa and on and on, Americans are defending muslims from islam. What muslims are really mad at is the Americans do not just limit support to their side. Islam eats its own and when threatened muslims scream for the USA to save them and for reasons I will never understand we do it.

The situation in most of Iraq has stabilized to the point where my contacts inside the box report that they are bored. Bored? They have defeated (for the most part) any one brave enough to stand and fight. Any enemy soldier is quickly identified and eliminated. What they cannot do well is identify when a friend will turn foe. As I have said many times, any practicing muslim is potentially a simple verse away from turning from a friend to jihadi. This latest friend turned foe story will not be the last and our soldiers will have to expect the unexpected.

Two American soldiers were shot dead and three more were wounded on Saturday when an Iraqi wearing army uniform opened fire on them south of the northern town of Mosul.
-I was asked once how to tell the bad iraqis from the good ones and my answer was the bad ones move. While many Iraqis have allied themselves with the Americans, I am not naive enough to think they will continue to behave themselves after we leave. Just like all islamic hellholes they will fragment and attack each other unless a more powerful force stops the violence.

“According to initial reports, an individual dressed in an Iraqi army uniform fired on the Coalition forces and was killed in the incident” around 20 kilometres (12 miles) south of Mosul, the statement said.

It called the incident “a small arms fire attack at a combat outpost.”

A Mosul police officer identified the assailant as Hassan al-Dulaimi, a soldier who also served as the imam of a mosque at an Iraqi army training centre south of the city, the capital of Nineveh province.
-The imam could quote religious justification for his action and in his warped mind attacking infidels makes him a real mujahid and guarantees a straight path to join mohammed in hell. Until muslims develop enough mentally to look toward the future and actually make plans to improve themselves they will continue to throw away their lives and the future in senseless attacks.

The latest deaths bring to 4,283 the number of American losses since the US-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003, according to an AFP count based on the independent website icasualties.org.
-There is another side to these numbers, muslims from all over the globe are being sent to various jihads by clerics just like the murderer above. There is not a single village or muslim enclave anywhere on the planet that has not lost a young man in a senseless death. Islams future remains bleak, as its one resource is squandered in the name of a lunatic called mohammed.

In February an American soldier was killed and three others wounded when two Iraqi policemen shot at them at a Mosul police station in an attack that also killed an Iraqi translator and wounded another.
-Having stood between crazies wondering when or if they will attack each other or me I can somewhat relate to the plight of the Americans, most do not care which imam controls which minions, territory or sect. They only care about keeping the people safe from power-hungry opportunists justifying violence with religious zeal. They understand that stability must come before they are safe and can return home.

Mosul, an important regional centre with a mixed population of Kurds, Sunnis and Christians, has remained in the grip of insurgent violence even as unrest has subsided elsewhere in Iraq over the past year.

US troops could stay in Mosul beyond a June 30 deadline for withdrawing from Iraqi cities if Baghdad requests it, the commander of US forces in the northern province, Colonel Gary Volesky, said in April.
-Sounds like a hint to me.

The US military regards Mosul as the last bastion of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, following its rout from Baghdad and western Iraq in 2007.
-al Qaida is beaten, crushed, destroyed and unimportant. Other groups and sects will continue attacks in an attempt to control Mosul. It remains a valuable strategic city and controlling it allows the victor considerable power over the rest of Iraq.

The Iraqi army launched a major offensive in Mosul in May 2008, but insurgent attacks have continued to take a toll.
