From the Congressional Record
I was digging through C-SPAN’s records this morning—doing some research on immigration laws and that darn border fence that is taking so long to build—when I came across the following comment in September, 2006 by Congressman Steve King (R) from Iowa that gave me pause:
“[...] And, truthfully, every single job there is to do in America is being done [Page: H6929] by natural-born Americans, people that have birthright citizenship here, those who are born to a mother and a father who are both citizens. Traditional Americans are doing every single kind of work there is in this country.”
Just thought I’d throw that into the mix!
