The White House says President Barack Obama’s adviser Van Jones is resigning amid controversy over past inflammatory statements.
Van Jones, an administration official specializing in environmentally friendly “green jobs,” is linked to efforts suggesting a governmental role in the 2001 terror attacks and to derogatory comments about Republicans.

“I am resigning my post at the Council on Environmental Quality, effective today,” Jones said in a statement dated Sept 5 released around midnight on Sept 6.
“On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me.They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide,” he continued. “I have been inundated with calls — from across the political spectrum — urging me to ‘stay and fight.’ But I came here to fight for others, not for myself. I cannot in good conscience ask my colleagues to expend precious time and energy defending or explaining my past. We need all hands on deck, fighting for the future.”

In other words, a bunch of radical communists & black nationalists have called and urged him to stay and fight, but, like Puff-Daschle, he’s got too much baggage. He’d hurt Obama’s agenda if he stays on publicly, but bet he’ll be acting from the shadows as a puppet czar takes his place.

Don’t be fooled, he will be offered a job by another czar for all his service to the country (obama) and make bank. His silence will be richly rewarded by American tax dollars.
