Are We Willing to Let the Terrorists Win?

…Our government is betraying us to the enemy!

One of those “must reads:”

Betraying our dead
Ralph Peters – NY Post

Eight years ago today, our homeland was attacked by fanatical Muslims inspired by Saudi Arabian bigotry. Three thousand American citizens and residents died.

We resolved that we, the People, would never forget. Then we forgot.

We’ve learned nothing.

Instead of cracking down on Islamist extremism, we’ve excused it.

Instead of killing terrorists, we free them.

Instead of relentlessly hunting Islamist madmen, we seek to appease them.

Instead of acknowledging that radical Islam is the problem, we elected a president who blames America, whose idea of freedom is the right for women to suffer in silence behind a veil — and who counts among his mentors and friends those who damn our country or believe that our own government staged the tragedy of September 11, 2001.

Instead of insisting that freedom will not be infringed by terrorist threats, we censor works that might offend mass murderers. Radical Muslims around the world can indulge in viral lies about us, but we dare not even publish cartoons mocking them.

Instead of protecting law-abiding Americans, we reject profiling to avoid offending terrorists. So we confiscate granny’s shampoo at the airport because the half-empty container could hold 3.5 ounces of liquid.

Instead of insisting that Islamist hatred and religious apartheid have no place in our country, we permit the Saudis to continue funding mosques and madrassahs where hating Jews and Christians is preached as essential to Islam.

Instead of confronting Saudi hate-mongers, our president bows down to the Saudi king.

Instead of recognizing the Saudi-sponsored Wahhabi cult as the core of the problem, our president blames Israel.

Instead of asking why Middle Eastern civilization has failed so abjectly, our president suggests that we’re the failures.

Instead of taking every effective measure to cull information from terrorists, the current administration threatens CIA agents with prosecution for keeping us safe.

Instead of proudly and promptly rebuilding on the site of the Twin Towers, we’ve committed ourselves to the hopeless, useless task of rebuilding Afghanistan. (Perhaps we should have built a mosque at Ground Zero — the Saudis would’ve funded it.)

Instead of taking a firm stand against Islamist fanaticism, we’ve made a cult of negotiations — as our enemies pursue nuclear weapons; sponsor terrorism; torture, imprison, rape and murder their own citizens — and laugh at us.

Instead of insisting that Islam must become a religion of responsibility, our leaders in both parties continue to bleat that “Islam’s a religion of peace,” ignoring the curious absence of Baptist suicide bombers.

Instead of requiring new immigrants to integrate into our society and conform to its public values, we encourage and subsidize anti-American, woman-hating, freedom-denying bigotry in the name of toleration.

Instead of pursuing our enemies to the ends of the earth, we help them sue us.

We’ve dishonored our dead and whitewashed our enemies. A distinctly unholy alliance between fanatical Islamists abroad and a politically correct “elite” in the US has reduced 9/11 to the status of a non-event, a day for politicians to preen about how little they’ve done.

We’ve forgotten the shock and the patriotic fury Americans felt on that bright September morning eight years ago. We’ve forgotten our identification with fellow citizens leaping from doomed skyscrapers. We’ve forgotten the courage of airline passengers who would not surrender to terror.

We’ve forgotten the men and women who burned to death or suffocated in the Pentagon. We’ve forgotten our promises, our vows, our commitments.

We’ve forgotten what we owe our dead and what we owe our children. We’ve even forgotten who attacked us.

We have betrayed the memory of our dead. In doing so, we betrayed ourselves and our country. Our troops continue to fight — when they’re allowed to do so — but our politicians have surrendered.

Are we willing to let the terrorists win?

Ralph Peters’ new thriller, “The War After Armageddon,” goes on sale next Tuesday.

Indeed, it appears that as a nation we have forgotten. However, I feel that this is misrepresentation by the media and our political ‘representatives’. They have forgotten; hell, they don’t want to remember. They wanted to stick their head in the sand then about the cause and instigators of that attack. Even then, days after the event, there was talk in DC about the ‘religion of peace’ and other BS along that line. I didn’t buy it then, I don’t now.

I remember the images of people jumping to their death from the trade center towers rather than be burned alive or suffocate. I am tearing up even as I remember those images. I WILL NOT FORGET! Nor will I allow anyone to whitewash over it. This is the reason that blogs like this and discussions as we have here are so important. These issues cannont be forgotten.

Radical islam is the reason we have to remember 9/11/01; ‘moderate’ islam is why we have to fight to maintain the meaning of it.

    • az_conservative Says:

Not exactly: they WANT us to forget, but we haven’t and won’t.

Just heard on JD Hayworth’s show that an Islamic convert (Hill? converted back in the 50s) has heard from his Muslim contacts that there is another attack planned for near the end of Ramadan (next week) that will involve a suitcase nuke(s) detonated in small, private aircraft. He tried to warn the feds about the first WTC attack in 93, and 9-11. He’s also met bin Laden and offered to assassinate him back in the Clinton years, but the gov refused. I sure hope he’s wrong this time.

      • az_conservative Says:

He also mentioned the significance of 8 years between the ’93 attacks and 9-11, and it’s now been another 8 years. Not sure what the significance of 8 years would be?

        • Leatherneck Says:

Mohmaed fled north of Medina, then returned eight years later with an army and sacked it.

This could be we keep beating the crap out of the warriors of allah, but they keep returning like a bad odor every eight years. 93-2001 for example. 2001-2009 could be another example of that odor.

  2. Doc' Says:

On this solemn day, we should all recall the bravery of those aboard Flight 93 who valiantly sacrificed their own lives and boldly DEFIED the cowardly terrorists that seized their aircraft. In an instant, those brave people decided that they would NOT allow the evil plans of a few cowards to proceed unhindered. They were the literal embodiment of American Bravery and the stubborn Pride that has always made this country strong! They made their Stand even knowing it would be at the cost of their own lives, they knew they would never see their loved ones ever again, they knew they would not be able to benifit from their own actions. They made the ultimate
sacrifice for US, the people of the United States of America!

We must all Honor those brave people on Flight 93 by following their lead. It is now our responsibility to fight against the reckless enemies that have taken over our government! Let each of us act with the same Bravery and Boldness the Hero’s of Flight 93 did by REFUSING to allow a few lunatic tyrants to “proceed unhindered”. Make A Stand! Show the fools in Washington the true meaning of American Pride and American Bravery by DEFYING their ongoing attacks against We The People, and The United States Constitution!

Beginning with the Primary Elections in every district nationwide and continuing with the General Elections in 2010, KICK ‘EM ALL OUT! CLEAN HOUSE! Then repeat the same process in the 2012 elections! The very survival of Our Great Nation literally depends upon what each of us does NOW. Let not the scarifice and memory of the Hero’s of Flight 93 and all of the other Americans who died on 9-11 be in vain. TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY from the enemies within!

    Doc’

  3. tgusa Says:

The entire political class as well as acorn democrats have failed to heed the warning of 9-11. They have, as you wrote, run around trying to reach out, to make friends with jihadists. 9-11 was bad and since then in the USA we have seen scattered acts of jihad but no large attack. Why, well if you understand the muslim mind you will know that image is everything to them. The next attack carried out by al kayda or its affiliates must be bigger, more spectacular with lots more carnage than the last time. NY and DC are in the crosshairs and the timer is ticking. One day we are going to wake up to find a smoking hole where NY or DC used to be. Do not forget how and why it happened, it is completely predictable.

If I could I would tell you a few things that I have uncovered that would shock you. I cant say right now w/o blowing my source, maybe down the road if the atmosphere changes. I will say this, where ever you are stay alert and be aware of what is going on around you.

  4. Leatherneck Says:

It is a day of service for me. I serviced my combat pack. Making sure all the little things that matter are in their place. I serviced my weapons. My combat boots are already serviced, as are my BDU’s. To stay strong, I serviced my body in the gym, and made sure my hair was serviced.

Today on 2009-09-11, just makes it a more important day to do my servicing. I will never forget.

    Over.

    • tgusa Says:

Then you are already doing what needs to be done so don’t bother reading what follows.
Want to honor the dead of 9-11? Ignore Obamas call for a national day of service, move past a national day of mourning, instead use this day as a national day of determination. Use this day to reflect on what has occurred in the aftermath, take into account those who have dishonored the dead, spend time thinking and speaking with others about what you can do so that the dead will not have died in vain. Take a moment to accept that you were attacked for everything that you stand for not for anything you have done. Then take another moment to decide for yourself if what we have here is worth preserving and protecting, Washington thought so, Lincoln believed it was, Reagan understood the value of the shining city on the hill, and so should you.

Remember what President Bush said and deliver the same message to the honored dead, I hear you, and pretty soon those responsible are going to hear all of us.

  5. Umahmah Udahdi Says:

I absolutely agree with you, Doc. We need to stand up for our freedom with the same bravery and determination that the men and women aboard United Flight 93 showed us.
As I am writing this, I think of my three youngest children who were not old enough to remember the impact that day had on America and the rest of the world. It is my responsibility to let them know the truth of the events, not sugar coat it and make excuses for the monsters that carried out those attacks.
I also think of my older children that were in grade school at the time, and the fear that they had to face at such a young age. How for many nights after the attacks, I had to calm them from the nightmares the attacks caused, all the while trying to remain calm for them while facing my own fears.
I WILL NOT FORGET and refuse to let the rest of the world forget! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

  6. I would hold a prayer vigil on the steps of Congress every September 11th. I can only hope and pray that Congress will be full of people like us. Strong, proud Americans, Sons and Daughters of Liberty that shall not let the torch burn low. Of the People, By the People, For the People in honor of all the brave soldiers who came before and those that shall pick up and continue the fight for our Republic. The truth needs to be decried from the top down. I honestly believe that God will lift up our nation in 2010. I have hope for our nation to return to greatness. No more politically correct lies. The Truth shall set you free America. I have great optimism that we will start a rapid comeback of patriotism in 2010. I am however locked and loaded. Ready to fulfill my oath: to defend the United States of America from enemies both foreign and domestic.

  7. irishoaks Says:

Lord God, that we had thousands of General Jack Pershings now to handle the muslims…that we had Ronald Reagan back as POTUS and Margaret Thacher back in England as Prime Minister…that churches were full of spirit-filled congregations who knew what the Declaration, Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Articles of Confederation actually said and meant. That we knew how to stand with the whole armour of God to resist the devil in all his forms and fashions. That we would run out of this country all of it’s enemies foreign and domestic. There would be NO muslim training camp on our soil. There would be NO CAIR that would have a say in what we do or how we do it. There would be NO communist or socialist in any position of legislation, judicial, or presidential in our government.
God bless the United States of America

  8. Jeremiah Says:

I’ll start by saying that 9/11 was a tragic day in US history, and the pain of so many lives lost will never be forgotten.

Now I’ll go on to say you are all ridiculous. Do you even stop to understand that for every US citizen killed on 9/11 (2,995), there have been five Iraqi citizens killed (92,489 – 100,971) because of a senseless US war. Can you even imagine that? Imagine if there had been 100,000 people that died on 9/11, 100,000 families that lost their children, brothers, fathers, and mothers to pointless violence.

Why the hell does it matter that those 100,000 mothers and fathers crying over their sons’ deaths are Muslim? Isn’t it enough that they did absolutely nothing to deserve the violence that has torn apart their families?

103,000 people have died in Iraq and the US. 103,000 more will die if we don’t try to stop the violence now. The ball is in our court.

    • islams not for me Says:

Jeremiah is insinuating that the US and our allies are the complete cause for mujahedeen attacks.

Muslims kill other muslims jeremiah. Or dont you read the news?

Unfortunately for the USA under Bush he satisfied his fathers bloodlust and killed of more Iraqis than was neccesarry. Also the Iraqs & others are to blame for the continuing violence because of the many factions in islamic sects.

To blame the USA for all the death and destruction singularly is another form of propaganda. Islam itself is responsible for the death and criminality of its people. To blame anyone else in the West is silly at best.

What happened on Sept 11, 2001 is just the tip of the iceberg… Feel free to visit…

      For what islam does best.

  9. Jeremiah Says:

There is a difference between the religion of Islam and the Islamic fundamentalist movement. If it helps you to understand, it is similar to the difference between the African American population and the Black Panther movement.

Prior to US invasion of Iraq, there was little or no Taliban presence in that country. The Taliban, an Islamic fundamentalist movement, was mostly located in Afghanistan. Saddam Hussein, for all he did wrong, worked very effectively against allowing the Taliban to establish itself in Iraq. It was only after US invasion that the Taliban saw the opportunity to enter the unstable country and set up control. Since then, the focus of the US regime has been to remove the now established Taliban.

Prior to the US war in Iraq, the US has had other dealings with the Taliban and Osama Bin Laden. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_war_in_Afghanistan details Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, and US retaliation. Most notably, it explains that the US trained and sent arms to both the Mujahideen and a group formed by Osama Bin Laden which later became Al-Qaeda. In other words, the US directly aided the Mujahideen fighters and Osama Bin Laden.

There are two outside forces fighting within Iraq; the United States and Al-Qaeda. Neither of these forces have any connection to Iraqi civilians. Both forces are directly connected to the United States.

  10. Leatherneck Says:

We aided the Mujahideen when Russia invaded Afganistan. Everyone knows that.

The Taliban supported Osama, and would not give him up. They got their arse kicked. Al-Qaeda fought the US in Afganistan, and Iraq. They got their arse kicked, and continue to get beat.

However, these believers in allah the false moon god will continue to try and harm the US in any why they can. It is inside the house of war, and America has supported Israel.

Remember, in the Koran, Jews come from monkeys and pigs. One false book from Satan to all moon god worshipers. One book that justifies the bloodshed of any, or all Infidels to ensure the rule of Islam over the world.

This is a world war, and right now America is taking the fight to the enemy. We all just saw Dr. Bulldog’s post on the enemy in New York being rounded up.

They are here, and it is only a matter of time before the warriors for allah rape, and murder little boys, and girls like in Belson, Russia.

    ROPMA!

BTW, POS followers of Mohammed who murdered, and raped can justify their actions because the Pope murdered a lot of people a thousand years ago.

    Sarc/off

    • Jeremiah Says:

I just have difficulty responding to any of your comments Leatherhead. It is a mix of the confusing grammar/abbreviations that you use and the fact that everything you say is so steeped in stereotype that I can’t separate out your argument. Hopefully you’ll be able to read my comments to other posts and take what you will from them.

I truly don’t mean any of that as an insult to you personally. I am just am unable to pull enough content out of your comments to respond to.

      • Jeremiah Says:

Haha, foolish mistake, I meant of course leatherneck. Very sorry about that, once again I didn’t in any way intend to put any insult to you, I honestly just misread you name.

        • az_conservative Says:

No, you didn’t misread his name, troll. Do you even know where the term “Leatherneck” came from? You effectively just insulted the USMC, as I understand the term.

I seriously doubt Canyon sent you here. If he did, I’m sure he thought you might be reachable somehow, but he’s wrong. You’re just a troll, and not a very good one at that. Begone!

          • Jeremiah Says:

Actually I did just misread the name…I wasn’t familiar with the term before I looked it up at your prompting. The misquoted name, Leatherhead, doesn’t really seem to me to be that offensive an insult beyond the fact that it’s wrong, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have any meaning. And I did apologize for my mistake, there’s nothing else I can think of doing in the way of making it better.

          • az_conservative Says:

Then why have you used the incorrect name several times since?

          • Jeremiah Says:

This instance was the first time I noticed the mistake when checking the name I had written with the name on the post. Since that time, I do not believe I have made the mistake. Leatherneck has very graciously accepted my apology, and for that I thank him.

          • Jeremiah Says:

Mr. Clowdus was actually the one who recommended this website to me. I have no knowledge of his motives, but I have the original email in which he did so. If you would like, and with his permission, I’d be happy to show it to you.

        • Leatherneck Says:

The only offence I take from you Jeremiah is you are an apologist for Islam. Do you even have the cojones to admit it?

My statements are very stright forward. I do not post deep thoughts like Dr. B., or Ronin.

Muhammed murdered, and raped. It does not get any more to the point than that. Islam is based on Mohammed, your perfect man to follow.

If you want to impress me, kick my arse. Words just don’t harm me. My abbrevations are insults to you.

Dr. B, has a mother that shows up here from time to time, and I show respect to this web site, and her by not writing it out.

You say you are American; Yet, you do not understand my abbrevations. I think you are the enemy.

          • Jeremiah Says:

I’m glad you aren’t offended, since I sincerely didn’t mean any offense.

In the new testament, god called for the killing of all jews in the Jerusalem, and for the rape of women. He also called for the women to eat their babies. Neither these references or the references of Muhammad marrying children are part of modern Christianity or Islam.

I will most certainly not “kick your arse”. I surmised that they were insults, but I also can’t understand some of the sentence structure that you use in your quotes. Maybe it is my fault, but there it is.

I am an American born and bred, and speak English fluently as a first language. I cannot find your abbreviations in a standard English dictionary, nor is English technically even America’s national language.

          • Jeremiah Says:

Wait, I found a reference for ROPMA as an acronym. However, the Reserve Officer Personnel Management Act doesn’t seem to apply in this case. Neither does the SARC, School Accountability Report Card. Or POS, Part of Speech. That’s my confusion.

          • az_conservative Says:

ROPMA means Religion of Peace My A**. Anytime I have not understood an acronym here, I have either politely asked or checked the acronyms page here http://doctorbulldog.wordpress.com/acronyms/ Not all are listed, but a little thought and consideration of context usually reveals the meaning of those that aren’t.

          • Jeremiah Says:

I’m sorry, I didn’t know that there were acronyms specific to this website. I did attempt to search for the acronyms online, and only found the results I listed for you. Thanks for clearing it up.
