Virginia Attempting to Block Military Vote in 2010
Yup, after reading an article HERE, which referenced THIS and THIS, the title for this post pretty much summarizes my analysis of the situation—Virginia is attempting to block the Military vote in 2010.
Historically speaking, this is not without precedence. Back in 1943, the U.S. Congressional Republicans, along with Blue Dog Democrats tried to block voting by the Military in an effort to prevent Roosevelt from getting re-elected in 1944. Despite their best efforts, Military voting in the 1944 elections far exceeded the “experts” expectations. The New York Times reported anywhere from 3.1 to 4.4 million Military members cast absentee ballots that year.
And, who could forget the untold number of Military Absentee Ballots discarded by the Commiecrats in the 2000 election down in Florida? Or, the 200,000 Military members who were not given Absentee Ballots in 1988?
I guess the Commiecrats have to do something to get around the loss of all those ACORN nuts. The desperation is showing.

Given the politicians’ comments during the elections last year, this is not the least bit surprising, disgusting, but not surprising.
I think it interesting that the 1944 incident was instigated by both Republicans and the Dixiecrats, that would have been a very unlikely set of bed-partners back then. So here we are 65 years later and the same BS is recycled by the politicians. The only response I can think of that would be appropriate at this point is what Doctor B and Ronin have been saying lately: Throw Them All OUT!

I will be watching the 2010 election very carefully as it will show me everything I need to know. The policies the progressive democrats are advocating will lead to disaster, a depression. I predict that if these policies are enacted we will see 30% plus unemployment.
People will begin to go hungry and get angry. I believe they know this and that’s why we have heard them mention a civilian army just as powerful as our military. On the bright side, progressives thinking that they can muster a fighting army as powerful as our military is a pipe dream.
I can go ahead and jump off a cliff saying and believing that I can fly but we all know what will happen when I hit the ground.

@tgusa – I suppose that falling might be considered flying, of a sort. I’m not afraid of falling from extreme heights; it’s the abrupt halt at the end.

Something tells me our military wouldn’t stand by and watch O’s civilian army stomp citizens.

And O is making himself so popular with the military. I’d stack 100 of them against 1000 of his best thugs.
Your analogy brings lemmings to mind…
