Obama Hindering Federal Probe into Fort Hood Massacre
Ah, yes. Obama’s chickens have come home to roost:
Obama urges Congress to put off Fort Hood probe

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama on Saturday urged Congress to hold off on any investigation of the Fort Hood rampage until federal law enforcement and military authorities have completed their probes into the shootings at the Texas Army post, which left 13 people dead.
On an eight-day Asia trip, Obama turned his attention home and pleaded for lawmakers to “resist the temptation to turn this tragic event into the political theater.” He said those who died on the nation’s largest Army post deserve justice, not political stagecraft.
[Uhm, hold on a minute while I recover from laughing over the hypocrisy of a little thing called the 9/11 Commission Report.]
“The stakes are far too high,” Obama said in a video and Internet address released by the White House while the president he was flying from Tokyo to Singapore, where Pacific Rim countries were meeting.
[Obviously, he means "political stakes." It's pretty obvious that Obama is afraid that he will get accused of taking his eye off the ball; what goes around, comes around---remember, Obama's party of the Democrats were the ones who blamed Bush for 9/11.]
[...]
Obama already had ordered a review of all intelligence related to Hasan and whether the information was properly shared and acted upon within government agencies.
[Aha! Now we are getting to the core of the matter: He knows that the DHS---headed up by his very own appointee---didn't do its job! Way to go, Janet NappyLatino!]
Several members of Congress, particularly Michigan Rep. Peter Hoekstra, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, have also called for a full examination of what agencies knew about Hasan’s contacts with a radical Muslim cleric in Yemen and others of concern to the U.S.
Hoekstra confirmed this week that government officials knew of about 10 to 20 e-mails between Hasan and the radical imam, beginning in December 2008.
[Yes, I'm sure Hasan was just asking for some cake recipes...]
A joint terrorism task force overseen by the FBI learned late last year of Hasan’s repeated contact with the cleric, who encouraged Muslims to kill U.S. troops in Iraq. The FBI said the task force did not refer early information about Hasan to superiors because it concluded he wasn’t linked to terrorism.
Lawmakers, however, already have announced they want their own investigations and were frustrated with what they view as a less-than-forthcoming administration.
[Yet another wonderful example of Obama's oxymoronic policy of "transparency in government."]
[...]
Obama said he was not opposed to hearings — eventually. But he strongly pressed lawmakers to hold off until the probes now under way are completed.
“There is an ongoing investigation into this terrible tragedy,” Obama said. “That investigation will look at the motives of the alleged gunman, including his views and contacts.”
“We must compile every piece of information that was known about the gunman, and we must learn what was done with that information. Once we have those facts, we must act upon them.”
[In other words, Obama is hoping to sweep all of this under the rug until after the 2010 elections.]

Not going to get into the politics of the matter but I see one comment which certainly is the most important:
“…urged Congress to hold off on any investigation of the Fort Hood rampage until federal law enforcement and military authorities have completed their probes…..”
That is the professional answer, ask any law enforcement officer.

There’s where you would be right if we weren’t dealing with the hypocrisy that is Obama.
Obama called for a Federal Probe in the Duke Lacrosse incident BEFORE the investigation was over with:
http://obamarama.org/2007/03/26/sen-obama-calls-for-probe-of-duke-da/
But, that’s just the first of many. Let’s take a similar case in which a soldier shot other soldiers back in May of this year.
We see that Obama IMMEDIATELY requested a FULL investigation into the matter”
So, I ask you, what has changed in the last 6 months to cause Obama to change his tune and hold off on a full investigation? I’ll tell you: Hasan is Muslim terrorist and it would look VERY bad for Obama if his “Kumbayah” policies somehow contributed to Federal agents looking the other way when it came to Hasan. And, of course, someone is going to have to fall on their sword and that person would be Janet Napolitano. Obama has big plans for her and doesn’t want to lose her, just yet…
Cheers

Consider the reaction if it had been an infidel Major killing and maiming muslim soldiers, or even a cartoonist drawing a pic of the false prophet.

Or even a rumor that someone somewhere remotely connected to the US military just might have maybe done something non-specific, yet untoward, to a copy of the koran.

These 13 soldiers were not killed by a Muslim extremist, they were killed by political correctness run amok. The Army admitted he was useless and lazy, they sent him to Fort Hood where he could be better monitored by his peers. Despite being useless and lazy, he was promoted because of political correctness, there were not enough muslims in high rank. They knew he espoused radical views but because of P.C. they dared not report it. They knew he was in contact with the most radical of radicals but because they discussed the theological aspects of murdering the infidel rather than the practical ones because of P.C. they dared not interfere with his freedom of religion. What is this guy to think, having proclaimed his belief to all and sundry only to be patted on the back for it. When a Muslim Doctor with radical beliefs spends a lot of time on the pistol range and no one raises any red flags, that is as good as a nod and a wink to go ahead. When the head of the army expresses his extreme concern for the Muslims under his command and fears more for the safety of sacred diversity than the non-muslim soldiers under his command he might as well give them all a license to hunt infidels.
