Arizona Social-welfare programs deny state funds to illegal’s

This is long overdue. The costs associated with Illegal immigration are draining states budgets. Limiting resources to citizens is not cruelty it is necessary.

The Arizona Department of Economic Security says a new immigration enforcement law applies to a broad range of social-welfare programs.

DES late Thursday released documents that will be used to implement the law that took effect Nov. 24.

Covered programs include food nutrition aid, the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System, unemployment insurance and childcare subsidies, as well as numerous smaller programs.
-Except for medical emergencies and possibly temporary shelter (a bus ride to the border) illegals should not expect tax-paying citizens to offer them much. Times are hard but even harder if you waste limited state resources. Anyone that disagrees with the new law should offer a couch or a guest room to an illegal. Feed them, love them, walk them and enter them into shows. My friend Leatherneck can probably offer up a few creative ways to groom your new pets.

The new law goes beyond a 2004 voter-approved measure that Attorney General Terry Goddard said applied only to several small welfare programs.
-Time to replace the attorney.

Both the new law and the old one require provide proof of legal immigration status when applying for public benefits. Also, both require public employees to report illegal immigrants
who try to obtain benefits.
-Don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.
