Is Obama Trying to Incite a Race War?

This article is a couple of days old, but I just stumbled across it this morning.  After reading it, I just couldn’t help but wonder if Obama realizes he is dividing Our Country into racial divides—undoing all the work that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his life for.

Personally, I think Obama does realize what he is doing and is using this as a tool to aid in the destruction of America, while also providing a distraction from all of the Communist crap he’s trying to shove through Congress:

Obama’s election year pitch leaves out white males

President Obama’s tricky, midterm election strategy relies on luring back the first-time voters who supported him in 2008 plus re-engaging women, blacks, young voters and Hispanics.

In a video message emailed to more than 13 million supporters, Obama said Democrats need a 2008 repeat.

“It will be up to each of you to make sure that the young people, African-Americans, Latinos and women, who powered our victory in 2008, stand together once again,” Obama said. “It will be up to each of you to keep our nation moving forward.”

Conservatives said the move was racially divisive — asking rhetorically what would happen if a president called for unity among white voters to win an election. But the strategy reflects political reality. Polls show Obama’s support among white males has dropped off — in large part over economic issues and his health-care plan.

“I think a lot of white men, a few Republicans but mostly independents, are the people leaving Obama in droves,” said Aubrey Jewett, a political scientist at the University of Central Florida. “Realistically the Democrats don’t think they have a chance of getting them back between now and November.”

Exit polls from the 2008 election showed Obama fared relatively well with white male voters, garnering 41 percent of white men and 43 percent of the white voters overall.

By contrast, John Kerry in 2004 won 37 percent of white male voters and 41 percent of all white voters. Al Gore in 2000 picked up 35 percent of the white male vote and 42 percent of the total white vote.

But with polls showing Obama’s job approval among men lagging women by 10 points and by a similar margin among white voters compared to the electorate, the Obama White House is looking elsewhere for votes.

“It’s always a tough race if you’re the incumbent in this kind of economic environment,” Obama said.

And without Obama on the ballot in November, persuading his 2008 supporters back to the polls will prove a major challenge for the Democratic Party, particularly among the 2008 first-time voters and young voters.

Exit polls in New Jersey and Virginia statewide races last year showed a significant drop-off among younger voters compared with 2008. Just nine percent of voters under 30 turned out in New Jersey, compared with 17 percent in 2008.

To that end, the White House is pushing climate legislation and immigration reform — keyed to specific special interests — as another way to drum up support in the fall.

How far the administration is willing to push on either issue remains an open question. The long-awaited climate legislation fell apart over the weekend, after Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, a key backer, dropped his support over a concurrent push for immigration reform.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs declined to say which measure Obama would prefer to see completed first, saying the administration would like to see progress on both fronts.

Republican strategist Alex Conant noted the White House has yet to offer any policy draft on immigration reform, suggesting the administration wants to use the issue in the campaign without officially tackling it.

“This is an extremely political White House and no doubt the president’s advisors view immigration within the political context of dividing Republicans and picking up some votes while publicly pushing it,” Conant said.

  1. Well, once again, I’m going to be out and about today doing some work to pay the bills, so I won’t be back until late this evening.

You all have a blessed day, and I will do my best to catch up on your comments when I get home.

    Cheers

This is good, but what is best in life?

To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.

      Work? Poo!

    • Hampton’s Redshirt,

      LOL!

Okay, Conan, here’s another one for you:

“For no one – no one in this world can you trust. Not men, not women, not beasts. This you can trust:”

The devious DemocRATS will use race, class, gender, sexual preference, political ideology or any reason to garner votes. Which ever way they see a trend or a shift they capitalize on it and twist it to fit their agenda. On top of that their ACORN minions, and other tools of the Left will be hard at work assisting the dead, vacant lots, the ‘homeless’ and any other type of fraudsters get out and vote. Most countries require Government issued ID to vote, the minute is is even mentioned here the Lunatic, Leftist,Liberals come out with the hysterical rant “this is racism”,and our no back bone representatives do an about face and run for cover.

    • I’m kind of still the fence over a Government issued ID to vote. On the one hand, I really don’t appreciate the government keeping track of me, but on the other hand, I recognize the need to ensure ACORN workers aren’t voting about a hundred times in one day.

And, what about Absentee Ballots? How would that work? Seems to me that if one wanted to circumvent producing a Government issued ID to vote, one would just get ahold of a list of voter ID numbers, match them up with some names and addresses, then send in the phony Absentee Ballots; all without having to physically present a Voter ID card…

Not that similar tactics aren’t already in use, but it just seems to me that a voter ID card won’t be that effective in combating voter fraud—but, it might prove highly useful for a totalitarian federal government which wishes to keep track of its citizens and their voting habits…

What say you, Big Frank? Any words of wisdom which might sway me to your side of the fence?

      Cheers

An easy way to control Absentee Ballots a requirement would be that a voter would have to vote in person the first time after registering. My wife used to work at the polls and if she thought a voter was not legitimate they would be required to use a paper provisional ballot, which would be put aside until challengers from both parties could verify an address,of course this only works when all challengers are honest and fair. I can see this working better in a small town rather then large municipality. As far as tracking when I vote except in a primary the only thing that is recorded is that I voted not for whom.In my County one must sign the register and a voucher, the voucher is then given to the person at the voting machine. On the scary side ‘Uncle Joe Stalin’ said “it’s not who votes but who counts them”.

Could there be any other logical explanation of his insanity? Other than his insanity? A race war is probably but one of many ploys to destroy this country. How can we continue to let him set foot in that Oval Office day after day after day? Have we all become suidical?!?

A Russian academic has predicted the US will collapse in 2010 (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123051100709638419.html) :

“…mass immigration, economic decline, and moral degradation will trigger a civil war…”

This article was written, of course, while Obama still had the credibility of any other unknown. Obama seems to be trying to make this prediction a reality. Perhaps this guy is Obama’s strategist?

      Not insane, worse than insane

“These six things the LORD hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
      A proud look,
      A lying tongue,
      Hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.”
      Prov. 6:16-19

    Yup, seven for seven.

    Obama rocks Proverbs….

    uh oh.

      • PB-in-AL Says:

Indeed. According to the leftys the Bible is superstitious tripe. Of course, it’s perfectly ok to them to research the aliens that made the pyramids and go ghost hunting, but the Bible is RIGHT OUT!

  5. Bob Says:

Sad to see ML King’s “dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character”
    has been shortchanged to
a person of color with no content of character.

  6. Blanco Says:

Without a doubt he is purposefully dividing this country. He would love to have a reason to declare Martial Law to keep us from having elections, either in 2010 or 2012 or both. Right now the sneaky pos is trying to get Puerto Rico declared a state so he can load congress with even more “progressives” aka Marxist congressmen.

  7. tgusa Says:

Sounds like the Obama administration has been doing some gender and ethnic profiling again. So what about all the white males who are outraged over this, what, there are none, they don’t seem to give a damn? Well maybe that is because the only difference between what Obumbler is doing and what the lefturds have always done is Odumbo is not as slick as Willie or any of the others.

Here is something I have been noticing, the people who voted for Odopey, the people who like to criticize America, they like being number 1. That’s right, they were fine voting for him, criticizing us, as long as they were still number one at the end of the day. But now times are a changin and they are not happy. This was not the hope and change that they voted for. Who knows, stranger things have happened, but soon we may be hearing them saying, where those white guys at?

The more Obama plays this game the more Americans he alienates. All the usual cliches apply, you are who your friends are, if you try to strike me down, be careful what you ask for, etc, etc. The only white guys still supporting Obama, are already dead (and still voting) or they are working for a mindless mass media outlet, and that appears to be some sort of sexual attraction.

    Ode to Obama.
