Thank you “Islam’s not for me”…MePaw and I went out with Dr and Mrs. Bulldog and our “Princess” of a grand daughter for a delicious steak dinner (Dr. Bulldog had 1/2 rack of ribs) at Longhorn restaurant!
Thank you, I had a wonderful day. Many trials being a mom. Many times I wondered if i had failed my sons… Happy to say I have three young men who are productive members of society, all holding down full time jobs and furthering their educations. I guess, that means I didn’t mess them up too badly.
Well I don’t want to be a party pooper but I would like to step out of the pc box for a moment if I could. First, I love my mother and I wish her a happy mothers day. However, I look around at what is happening to our country, kids in grade school with full blown sexual identity crisis going on. Kids being taught to hate the USA. Kids feeling as if they are entitled to other peoples stuff, etc etc. I look around and I think to myself, we have no business celebrating Motherhood on a national basis.
Its not just mothers day either. The last few fathers days I have spent pretty much alone. To me, these days have become depressive and just another day that hi-lights the downfall of our society. You see, for the first time in my life I am truly ashamed of America. Change.
Happy Mothers day…to all those mothers who really deserve it.
I have days where I completely understand what you are saying… Then I spend an afternoon with a group of JROTC and my heart is filled with hope for our country’s future.
Watching these 57 young men and women jump in and organize and prepare numerous care packages for the troops was inspirational. Not only were they courteous, they were also eager to perform some of the more tedious tasks.
I have to believe that many parents are stepping up and raising responsible young men and women. Unfortunately the news will focus on those led astray.
I know and that’s what makes me so angry. If I didn’t give a darn I wouldn’t be mad. I took your advice, no more pc, nohow. I too am filled with hope, can’t help it that’s just the way I am. Hope springs eternal. In the mean time I will keep saying what I have to say, yeah I know it rubs some people the wrong way. The truth often hurts.

As a note our Princess of a grand daughter chose a “hot dog” and thoroughly enjoyed it, much like we enjoyed our steaks. LOL
