Ronin’s Prayer

Note to readership: Today is our memorial day, a day set aside to honor our fallen, our friends, family, strangers and ancestors that gave their lives in defense of a nation built on the premise that all men are created free.

Having served in times of conflict, I have a problem considering this a holiday, I can easily remember the names of men and women that paid a higher price for their service than I did for mine. That would depress me so instead, I will do two things to honor them and their service. First, I want to thank everyone that has ever served this nation and secondly, I will offer a prayer to our fallen.

While reflecting on my own service, it dawned on me that every operation, ceremony and graduation started with a prayer. Not being known as a religious man, I will admit that I have to have help with this but it is from the heart and captures what Ronin’s prayer would be on memorial day. Enjoy, and feel free to honor those that have served, will serve and those in harm’s way today.

Ronin’s Prayer

Our most gracious heavenly father, we give thanks and honor to our fallen warriors today.

People feeling oppression built this nation. Built from scratch, by those willing to cry, bleed and toil, you blessed them and their efforts.

In defense of basic human rights and freedoms, our warriors fought around the globe to liberate the oppressed and defend the weak.

When our nation was governed by true believers and pious, just men and women, we were a force to be reckoned with. Evil fled from America but it was hunted down, found and crushed.

When our nation was governed by self-serving bureaucrats and greedy men. Men without morals and lacking the gift of a servant’s heart, we spent our nation’s blood defending oppressive, kings, rulers, despots and regimes. We turned against our national values and our foundation of individual rights. America became a force defending evil.

Currently our finest are fighting one form of evil but in doing so they will only guarantee that another equally rigid form of oppression will burden the people for another generation. No good can come from a fight that will continue oppression in any form.

Father our nation is once again ruled by people that do not honor or respect our original values, freedoms or the goals of an oppressed people. Our national leadership mistakenly believes they understand humanity’s needs and do not request or require assistance from you. I pray that you show them and us who the real guiding force for this planet is. Moreover, that you judge each and everyone of them on their individual convictions and actions, without mercy and with swift justice.

This nation will have one final chance this November to return to a God fearing nation. One built to defend humanity from the greedy and corrupt. This nation is the most powerful force ever assembled by men; it can be a force of good or incredible evil.

Should we fail Father to retake this nation, the most powerful military machine ever built and fielded will not guarantee humanity’s safety, or defend the oppressed. An America unleashed as an agent of evil men will ensure the enslavement of us all.

Father, I humbly pray that we can return this nation back to its original purpose and values this November. That we honor those fallen that got us to this point by returning us back to you. That we fill our governments seats with God fearing, men and women, people of strong morals and a servant’s heart.

If that is not your will for America, I pray that you destroy her without mercy before she is once again used in a manner that would cause disgrace to those that sacrificed to build and protect her. Should we once again fail you, we ask that our punishment be swift and decisive; that once again, humanity learns that it is you and not man that teaches values, and guarantees freedom.

Amen.

Your prayer should be etched in stone and be remembered in our history books.

    • Ronin Says:

Thank you Pam but I am not the focus here, those that gave far more than I did are. I am glad that you liked it. I had to enlist an attractive Christian lady’s help to finish it. Her father and all her brothers served, so for both of us it was truly from the heart.

  6. memaw Says:

Amen and Amen Ronin! I hope you don’t mind, but I am copying your prayer and putting it on my facebook page. You spoke to the heart of all of us who love God, our country and our heritage… Love, Memaw

    • Ronin Says:

Thank you memaw, you are welcome to spread it far and wide. It was my attempt to honor the men and women of faith that serve us all.

      PS: love you back

May God destroy the guilty and perserve the innocent.

My 3 kids dont desirve to be killed because of either my sins or the sins of the elitist bastards who have used Americas resources for evil.

    • Ronin Says:

Well said my friend, America will stand strong again, it may be less a few million libtards and look a little scorched around the edges but freedom will triumph. History has shown that every nation that gets arrogant enough to threaten the freedom of others is eventually crushed. You and yours can help me rebuild her, I ain’t plannen on falling anytime soon.

Agreed! It kind of grates on me whenever someone tells me, “have a happy Memorial Day weekend.” It seems to diminish the intent of the holiday, somewhat.

I don’t consider it a “happy” occasion. I consider it more a reflective occasion in which one reflects on the ultimate sacrifice others have made so that we all might continue to live as Free Men—although, I must admit that Obama and the Commies in government are certainly chipping away at that “free” part…

If you paid attention to yesterday’s Memorial Day post, you would have noticed that I had entitled it, “Have a Memorable Memorial Day!”

As for why others think this is a “happy” holiday, I can only conclude that they have been Libtarded by the Commies into placing this holiday into a catch-all box labeled, “Happy New Year.”

    Happy? No, not really.

    Reflective? Yes.

    Thankful? Absolutely!

    Cheers

    • Ronin Says:

If there is any happiness in it my friend, it is that millions still strive to maintain the high standards of our fallen. Our battle is not over, they handed it off to us, as we will pass it on someday. Now we fight online and in the ballot boxes but our enemies are adaptive and we will go after them wherever they are.

      Cheers,

      • Saw this on Lucianne.com. Thought it was very poignant:

“There are two life forces who were willing to die for you. Jesus Christ and the American soldier. One for your soul, the other for your freedom.”

        Cheers

Excellent thought… in fact Pastor Bozeman used much the same thought in his sermon yesterday in church.

  9. steve Says:

    Amen!

  10. Mab Says:

Amen — that was beautiful, Ronin.

A mournful rain has been falling all day here in South Carolina. This country needs to do a full and deliberate about face from the course we are now on, or we will deserve everything we get at the hands of our enemies or by the hand of our God. May the lives sacrificed in defense of our freedoms never be in vain.

“The blood of dead soldiers, patriots from the past, cries to us from the battlefields around the world.”
    ~Mike Evans

“We cannot just allow our moral values to be frittered away because we’re unwilling to defend them. This, I think, is absolutely critical…our moral values will sustain us. Our values as a civilization, our religious values, and this, it seems to me, is the kind of thing that will enable all of us to pull together and sustain whatever efforts it takes to resist this attack on us.”
    ~ Mort Zuckerman

As I completed my weekly grocery shopping I heard no one say “Happy Memorial day”.

And So as I said my daily prayers to My Lord I remembered all those Warriors who made the ultimate sacrifice for our Country, For our Freedom.

I bought a American flag and proped it up in my van to remind all those who looked into my cab the reason why we can BBQ, have a beer (Or your choice of spirits) and not have to wear body armor and carry a M16 (Or your choice of rifle) to defend ourselves against some scum bucket intent on killing me and destroying my family.

Good Bless you you guys and gals who chose to serve, to fight, to live and die so we can live mostly free.

  12. PB-in-AL Says:

Poignant and to the point, thanks Ronin (and friend)!

Here’s my hat off to all of you who have served :
Ronin, Dr B, IslamsNotForMe, LeatherNeck, and many who haven’t made their service known here.

Also to those in my family who have served: father-in-law, bro-in-law and wife, grandad, sister, and many friends (my chosen family).

    Thanks all!!
