Gov. Chris Christie sure does know how to work a crowd—and, he does it all with honest and open straight talk that is oh-so-rare in politics these days:
For most of my adult life since the early 60s every Governor, County executive, and Municipal officials continuously raised every facet of taxes without regard to sound fiscal policy or practices. At the same time they spent money as if it was limitless in supply.At before the 60s taxes were tolerable, however each new tax was supposed to save the homeowner from a large tax burden. First came the sales tax, then an income tax, the lottery, More increases under Jim Florio, 13 new taxes under Jim Mc Greevy, tires, cell phone etc. etc., until NJ citizens have one of the highest tax burdens in the nation. Along comes Gov. Chrisite who to everyone’s shock and the DemocRATS dismay is keeping his campaign promises. The former Federal Prosecutor, who by the way put hundreds of crooked Politicians in prison, came to work his first day in office swinging a budget axe, and eliminating employees who had no show and useless positions. I wish to remain in NJ thank God he’s just begun.
Update on Gov. Chritsie, His administration has closed an $11 billion gap in the states budget without raising taxes. The DemocrRATS, unions, and the Lefties were pissing and moaning, but the citizenry is quite pleased. Everyone has had to share the pain, some folks were let go but such is life.
