Gov. Christie to everyone’s amazement and to the utter disappointment of the state and local tax and spend DemocRATic machine kept his campaign promises. On his first day in office he came to work swinging a budget axe trimming off the waste and eliminating many do-nothing or patronage jobs. The fearless former Federal Prosecutor who put close to 200 crooked politicians in prison, has just started to kick butt. Yesterday he presented a budget that was passed after eliminating an 11+ billion dollar deficit without raising taxes, and for round two a cap of 2.5% increase is proposed for property taxes. The Liberals and the DemocRATS are doing their usual pissing and moaning, however if they don’t play along there is always election day. In the past every administration looted all of the dedicated funds (highway, unemployment, and pension) and showered their base with cash leaving the state broke. The road ahead will not be smooth, however I kind of like the pavement made of thrift and austerity.
