Obama to Visit Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta

Interesting how Obama avoids attending church as if it were a plague, yet the moment there’s a mosque around, he’s Mr. Johnny on the spot!

WASHINGTON — No presidential visit to a place of worship seems to make some folks as upset as when President Obama sets foot in a mosque.

Next month on his twice-postponed visit to Indonesia, it’s been announced that Obama will visit the massive Istiqlal Mosque, built in 1978 in Jakarta.

Immediately, this has revived the never-squelched rumor that the Christian president is secretly Muslim. Some hook it to the fleeting moments he ever saw his Kenyan father. Some tie it to his few years as a child in a Jakarta private school, one where Islam and Arabic, the language in which the Quran is read, were not on the curriculum.

American presidents have paraded through the major religious landmarks of the world for decades. But those he’s-a-Muslim rumors didn’t fly when President George W. Bush, shoes off to show proper respect, made three visits to the Islamic Center in Washington D.C., including one surrounded by Muslim leaders immediately after 9/11.

That’s because we all know that Bush Jr.’s  dad wasn’t a Muslim, unlike Obama’s philandering daddy.

Or when his father make a presidential stop at the Blue Mosque, calling it “magnificent,” in 1991.

That’s because Bush Sr. would never in a million years be able to recite the Muslim call to prayer fluently in Arabic, unlike Obama.

Or when Bill Clinton visited Istiqlal in 1994 without anyone questioning whether the Baptist president was secretly Muslim any more than people imagining George W. Bush was secretly Catholic for his respectful visit to the Pope at the Vatican.

That’s because Bill Clinton didn’t have “Muslim” listed as his religion on his elementary school forms, unlike Obama.

Curiously, no one who is a fan of Obama’s policies seems to imagine — against all his personal history — that he’s Muslim.

That’s because they are brain-dead morons who obviously don’t do any critical thinking while looking into Obama’s “personal history.”

Is this a coded attack on Obama, using Islam as a slur?

I don’t know.  Is that a coded attack with you playing the race card, or something?
