2010 Election – Open Thread

O’Donnell is getting slaughtered.  Thanks alot, Rove…

Rand Paul won in Kentucky.

West Virginia is going to Democrat Joe Manchin.

Fox News is projecting that Republicans will take over the House! – 239 (R) – 196 (D)—Goodbye Nancy Pelosi!!!  (Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out! )

— NBC is a little less enthusiastic and projects 237 Republican seats.

Joe Manchin, Democrat of West Virginia has been declared the winner in the race for the Senate seat opened up by the death of Robert Byrd. Manchin’s victory makes it nearly impossible for the GOP to regain control of the Senate.

Republicans have failed to take advantage of those 10 Senate seats that were in play and have missed that bench mark.  I’m sure the Lame Stream Media will find a way to blame us Tea Partiers.

Somethings odd about the Boxer race in California.  Right now, Boxer is pulling in 50 percent of the vote.  That’s pretty odd because she never broke the 49 percent barrier in the polling.

Write off New York, fellow Tea Partiers.  They’re too far gone and it will take years of hard work to get them back to any semblance of normalcy.

Tom Perriello, rising progressive star and Obama’s favorite congressman, has been defeated in his race to hold onto his Virginia congressional seat.  Hehehehehehe!

Marco Rubio kicked butt in Florida!  Thank you, Ronin!

Tom Corbett (R) projected to pick up PA’s governorship!  This is was one of those key “must watch” races which is reflective of the mood of the nation.

Polls starting to come in from Nevada.  The first wave of data will be from early voting which seems to make up about 60 percent of the total.  Angle has 47 percent, Reid has 46.

Got this tweet from one of my followers:  120 yrs of Dem control ends in North Carolina, state House and Senate flip. Republicans will redistrict the state.

Republican Lou Barletta defeats 26-year incumbent Democrat Paul Kanjorski in PA House race!  Nice!  Way to go, PA!  That’s what we’re talking about when we say “Get a G.R.I.P. on your government and Get Rid of Incumbent Politicians!”

Another historic moment – First Hispanic Governor in American history:   Republican District Attorney Susana Martinez predicted to win the governorship over Democrat Lt. Gov. Diane Denish.

Another big pickup for the GOP in the Senate. Progressive Senator Russ Feingold of Wisconsin has been defeated by Ron Johnson, bringing the GOP senate pick-up to 4.

RINO Joseph Cao (New Orleans, LA) loses his re-election bid to Democrat Cedric Richmond.   No surprise there.

Ultra-Lefturd  Representative Steve Kagen  (D – WI) is toast!  Republican Reid Ribble has been declared the winner!

After being entrenched in the House of Representatives for over 30 freakin’ years, Missouri’s IKE SKELTON IS GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Buh-bye, you freakin’ Lefturd!!!!!! Congratulations, Vicky Hartzler!

Crap!  Sharron Angle has fallen behind the power curve!  WTF is wrong with you folks in Nevada?

Fox is calling the race for Boxer in California.  Yeah, unlike Nevada, I already know WTF is wrong with you Lefturds in San Francisco…

YES!!!  AP reporting Republican Mark Kirk has taken Obama’s old Senate Seat!!!  Congratulations Senator Kirk!

Polls have closed in Alaska.  I’ll stay up as late as I can to watch the results.

Fiorina is back up on top of Boxer in California.

Someone better be looking into voter fraud in Nevada.  I just got a tweet that said Reid has 20K more votes than the Governor’s race has…  That’s 20K mysterious folks who forgot to vote for their governor?  No Freakin’ way!

In Ohio, Republican John Kasich has defeated incumbent Democrat, Ted Strickland.

Initial reports from Alaska indicate that Lisa M. is leading.  Freakin’ crazy!  Why can’t these career politicians bow out gracefully when they lose the primaries?

Boxer back on top of Fiorina in California with 32% of the precincts reporting.

Washington state is a close one.  Too close to call right now.  Incumbent Patty Murray (D) leads Dino Rossi (R) 51 to 49 with 61 percent reporting.

Well kiddies, it’s about 3 a.m. ET and I’m headed off to bed.  Here’s the political landscape as of this hour:

Senate Races at 3:00 a.m. ET 11/3/2010

House Map as of 3:00 a.m. ET - 11/3/2010

Governor Map at 3:00 a.m. ET - 11/3/2010

So, what do we take from all this?

Well, we done good but we could do better.

It’s kind of a hollow victory.  We defeated the army, but the generals are still alive—Reid, Pelosi, Boxer, and Barney Frank.

Control of the Senate was a long-shot, anyway.  But, we should have been able to at least take down Pelosi in the House and Reid in the Senate.

Anyway, We need to keep the momentum moving forward to the 2012 elections where there will be a larger number of Commie seats open for Conservative candidates to fill than there were this election cycle.

How will the media spin this loss?  Look for them to deflect blame away from Obama and towards Nancy Pelosi.

How will the Repuglicans see their new Tea Party Conservative Representatives and Senators?  Well, that remains to be seen, but if they are smart, they’ll embrace them with open arms.  If not, it’s not going to be pretty for the Repuglicans in 2012…

Good night and may God bless you all.

It appears the Tea Party has made gains. It is getting late, and I am leaving work. In the morning, I will enjoy a nice coffee reading the head lines, and hope the future of America has dodged an iceberg.

    Come on 2012!

The first reports are always the lib cities. That is why the lib always appears in the lead. as the results start filtering in from out lying areas, more conservative, we see the results change. Never let early results affect you, its big city libs and their media cohorts trying to affect your vote!

    • Here in Missouri, it’s the opposite – The rural areas report first, and then the lib cities start pouring in. Consider this: Prop B, which is a BS “puppy mill” prop created by the lefturds at PETA was down 60% to 40% with about 50 percent of the precincts reporting. Now, with 91 percent reporting, it’s tied at 50% to 50%! And, I predict it will win because the lib cities are still reporting in…

      Cheers

      • And now, Prop B has picked up 51 percent of the vote with 96 percent of the precincts reporting. See? Here in Missouri, we also have a LOT of libtards in the big cities. I think it has something to do with all of them living in such confined spaces without much time to reflect upon their lives and experiences, so they just run on pure emotion and never take the time to think things through.

        Cheers

Perhaps Missouri doesn’t rush to put those results out first, for whatever reason. Missouri is a unique sort of state as states go, you know, my dad was born and raised right there in Kansas City.

        • tgusa Says:

Well, IMHO, Missouri has always done what Missouri wants to do. They don’t follow the crowd, at least that’s my honest opinion. I have always found that an admirable thing.
