Afghan police have arrested four people who allegedly tried to force a woman into prostitution and beheaded her when she refused.

Mah Gul, 20, was beheaded after her mother-in-law attempted to make her sleep with a man in her house in Herat province last week, provincial police chief Abdul Ghafar Sayedzada told AFP.

“We have arrested her mother-in-law, father-in-law, her husband and the man who killed her,” he said.

Gul was married to her husband four months ago and her mother-in-law had tried to force her into prostitution several times in the past, Sayedzada said.

The suspect, Najibullah, was paraded by police at a press conference where he said the mother-in-law lured him into killing Gul by telling him that she was a prostitute.

“It was around 2am when Gul’s husband left for his bakery. I came down and with the help of her mother-in-law killed her with a knife,” he said.

Last year, in a case that made international headlines, police rescued a teenage girl, Sahar Gul, who was beaten and locked up in a lavatory for five months after she defied her in-laws who tried to force her into prostitution.

“The rebels planted mine on a donkey and stopped it near the gate of the district headquarters of Charsada district and when the district police chief arrived at the gate at around 09:00 a.m. local time to go to his office, the rebels exploded it by remote control killing the police chief on the spot,” Dilawar Shah Dilawar told Xinhua.

Condemning the incident, Dilawar said that the donkey was also killed in blast, adding the trick exposes Taliban cruelty against both human being and animals.

Three more police were injured in the incident, the provincial police chief added.

Taliban militants fighting the government have yet to comment.

Nebraska Father Speaks Out Against Obama’s Kumbayah Warfare Tactics After Son Killed in Afghanistan

Hey, I’ve been telling you folks for years now that Obama’s Rules of Engagement are getting our fighting men and women slaughtered over in Afghanistan.  (See HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and probably a number of other posts).

In fact, I remind you daily, via a graphic along the right side of our main page, of the continually escalating toll Obama has exacted upon our men and women in uniform via his insane ideological Kumbayah warfare tactics.

While I am deeply saddened at Lance Cpl. Hunter Hogan’s senseless death in Afghanistan, I am encouraged by the family’s willingness to speak out against Obama and his insane Kumbayah warfare tactics.  I only wish more families would do so.  Perhaps then, our politicians and Generals will pressure Obama into dropping these fatuously insane and deleterious Rules of Engagement—Of course, that’s assuming Obama has plans to actually win this war and isn’t just using it to give his Islamic buddies some more target practice:

Lance Cpl. Hunter “H.D.” Hogan entered the USMC 26 OCT. 2009.

He served with the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division.

The most outstanding custom in the Marine Corps is simply “being a Marine” and all that it implies. Call it morale, call it esprit de corps, call it what you will — it is that pride which sets a United States Marine apart from the other armed services. It is not taught in manuals, yet it is the most impressive lesson a recruit learns in boot camp. It is not tangible, yet it has won fights against material odds. Perhaps Sen. Paul H. Douglas has best defined it:

“Those of us who have had the privilege of serving in the Marine Corps value our experience as among the most precious of our lives. The fellowship of shared hardships and dangers in worthy cause creates a close bond of comradeship. Lance Corporal Hunter “H.D.” Hogan was proud of his Corps and believed it to be second to none. He was loyal to his comrades and to the Marine Corps, adhering always to the motto Semper Fidelis, Always Faithful.

H.D. on his personal side was all about, as he said the 3 F’s… family, friends, and fun. With emphasis on fun! Hunter lived his life at 110 miles per hour. Whether it be his passion for rodeo and bucking horses, his enthusiasm hunting and fishing, or with his time in the Marine Corps.

H.D. had the ability to make people around him push themselves to be better at whatever they were doing. Be it with a quick witted comment or on occasions with his brutally honest sharp tongue. Hunter was a man that people gravitated to. Recent comments that have been posted to his Facebook page trumpet one thing about this young man. Saying not that H.D. was my best friend in 2nd grade or in football or in high school rodeo. Going down the list of posts they all began or ended with H.D. was my best friend, period. And there are few better than him to have on your side.

Hunter had opportunities to college rodeo. He chose the Marine Corps instead. Saying that he just wanted to serve his country for 4 years and he’d get back to rodeing afterwards. In doing so it brought him into the love of his life, Brittney. He was never so happy as when they were married on December 29, 2010. For those of you who were blessed to be around them, you all knew that they were a perfectly matched couple. You could also see the true pure love that they had for each other.

We as family and friends of H.D. have all suffered a tremendous blow with the loss of this amazing young Hero. But through this tragedy some wonderful positives have begun to emerge.

Update:  After viewing it a few times, the explosion appears to come from underneath, so it could be that he tripped over an IED which was probably hidden the night before by one of his buddies.    Either way you look at it, it’s a workplace accident.  Stoopid monkeys!

Obama Signs Agreement With Karzai for 12 More Years of U.S. Human Targets in Afghanistan!

Just freakin’ crazy!  I’m absolutely livid about this!!! 

It’s not good enough for Obama to have implemented his Kumbayah warfare tactics wherein soldiers have simply given up shooting back at hostile forces because of all the legal BS they know they will have to go through once they get back to their military base.  It’s not good enough for Obama to have killed, in less than three-and-a-half years,  2 ¼ times the number of U.S. soldiers Bush did in over 7 years in Afghanistan. 

No, that’s not good enough!

Now, he wants to continue our presence in Afghanistan until 2024!!!

WTF!?!   Why? 

We have ousted the oppressive Taliban government and installed a “nicer” mini-Taliban government.  Check.

We have severely limited the ability of terrorists to use Afghanistan as a safe haven from which to operate.  Check.

And, correct me if I’m wrong, but I could have sworn bin Laden was *reportedly* killed last year.  Check. 

Mission freakin’ accomplished! 

Now, time for our brave men and women to COME HOME!!!

We aren’t going to accomplish anything else of monumental significance in Afghanistan no matter how long our military stays there.  And, if we are “nation building,” we don’t need a large military presence in Afghanistan; that stage of the game is over.  What we need now are the diplomats.  Yup, send in the diplomats and politicians!  They can freakin’ nation build all they want.  Have at it!

Nope…  The only reason to keep our military in Afghanistan at this point in the game is if you want to use them as human targets. 

Yup.  12 more years for muzzies to bone up on their shooting and bomb making skills…

But in remarks that Obama wanted focused on an optimistic end to the conflict, he failed to mention the 1,957 Americans who’ve died there since 2001, 68% of them during his presidency. And 93 in the last 122 days.

Nor, as it turns out, could the politically-inclined president of the United States find room anywhere among his 1,556 words for the seven letters that could make his surges and all those sacrifices seem more worthwhile: “victory.”

We’ve come a long way since the days of the Global War on Terror. Frankly, the GWOT — whatever that was supposed to mean (how do you fight against a tactic?) — is so 10 years ago. “Terror,” meanwhile, has morphed into “extremism,” but that’s only made things more unclear. We still don’t know what it’s all supposed to be about.

Until today.

If a column could have special effects, this is where piercing beams of sunlight would dispel clouds of confusion as pink bunnies jump up and down, squeaking, “That’s it, that’s it!” And a sigh of relief would spread across the happy valley …

Or would it? If my title for the war our country has engaged us in is apt, have I described a cause most Americans support? I don’t think so, but, of course, I don’t claim to know the answer. That’s partly because I see no upset in the land over the latest and greatest display of American dhimmitude — the subservient state of Jews and Christians in thrall to Islamic law — that we have witnessed in Afghanistan all week. Afghan Muslims have convulsed in rioting and killing (among other fatalities, two U.S. military personnel have been murdered by an Afghan army member) on word that Qurans and other religious materials were disposed of on a U.S. military base after authorities discovered the books were being used at Parwan prison in what the BBC said may have been “a secret Taliban message system.”

You didn’t hear about that last part? I’m not surprised. This crucial piece of the story — the logical reason for the books’ destruction — is treated by the media, and also by the U.S. government, as secondary material. At least one unnamed “U.S. official” imparted this part of the story to the press (Reuters and AFP); unnamed “Afghan officials” have told the BBC the same thing. Judging by the gingerly way this news is being handled, it almost seems as if the perfectly logical rationale for the disposal of these materials is regarded as an embarrassment.

Not so the outrageous, primitive response of rioting Muslims. In our state of abject apology, we have, in effect, condoned this murderous behavior according to the Islamic rules governing treatment of the Quran. This isn’t just political correctness run amok; it’s open submission to Islamic law. After all, the Quran is an inanimate object, a thing, cheaply printed and distributed by the gazillion, often by Saudi Arabia. We — if by “we” I may still refer to the Judeo-Christian-humanist world — do not rampage and shoot people when an inanimate object, a thing, even a Bible, is torn, written on or thrown away. In fact, we have constitutional rights to do all of those things as a matter of free speech.

Nonetheless, we as a nation — spilling blood for the “noble people of Afghanistan,” as top commander Marine Gen. John R. Allen says in his prostration video (see it here) — have deemed it vital to accommodate, apologize, slurp and scrape to those who do. Equally as tragic, in the frenzy to apologize, the logic behind throwing the stuff away has been sacrificed. Reason itself has been discarded in a shameful and irrational act of fealty. This isn’t just dysfunctional behavior. This is full-blown dhimmitude.

The news service quotes district police chief Fazel Rahman as saying: “She was beaten, her fingernails were removed and her arm was broken.”

Three women, including the teenager’s mother-in-law, had been arrested, but her husband had fled the area, Rahman added.

Time to publicize the fact that in only 2 1/2 short years, Obama’s Kumbayah Kinetic Warfare policies have killed more U.S. servicemen in Afghanistan than Bush ever did in his entire 8 years in office!—56.7 percent more, to be more precise!

Afghan Death Toll Rises; Media Interest Declines

The war in Afghanistan gets little attention by the mainstream media these days. But the loss of American lives continues to mount. Just last week, seven U.S. troops were killed by a powerful bomb which had exploded in a field where they were patrolling on foot. At least twenty-eight Americans have been killed in May, 2011 alone, according to the Associated Press.

To date, the Department of Defense has identified 1582 American service members who have died as part of the Afghanistan war and related operations, the majority of whom were killed since President Obama took office. During the Obama administration, more American service members have died in Afghanistan than during all the prior years since the Afghanistan war began in 2001.

For the U.S. military, 2010 was the deadliest year of the Afghanistan war so far. 499 service members died. Additionally, there were 5,182 US forces wounded in 2010. This represents more than half of all U.S. forces wounded in the entire Afghanistan war, which totaled 9,957 at the end of 2010.

The total U.S. military deaths compiled by the Defense Department for Operation Enduring Freedom for the years 2001 through 2010 are as follows:

Two factors have contributed to the increase in American fatalities during the Obama administration. The first reason is President Obama’s decision in December 2009 to send 30,000 additional troops to Afghanistan. This Obama “surge” represented a major escalation of America’s military presence there, putting more of our soldiers in harm’s way.

The second factor contributing to the increase in American fatalities since President Obama took office has been the more restrictive rules of engagement that the Obama administration has put in place to reduce the likelihood of civilian casualties. These rules, although loosened somewhat under General Petraeus, have restricted the use of air power and heavy weaponry in populated areas and prohibited our troops from shooting at the enemy unless fired upon first. This has the effect of shifting more of the risk of engagement from the Taliban and its allies to our own troops.

Obama Is Sending Border Officers from DHS–Which Has Failed to Secure U.S.-Mexico Border–to Help Secure Afghan-Pakistan Border

(CNSNews.com) – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, which by its own admission has thus far failed to control even half of America’s nearly 2,000-mile-long border with Mexico, is now sending personnel to Afghanistan to help that country secure its border with Pakistan.

On a New Year’s visit to Afghanistan, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said there are now 25 Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CPB) personnel on the ground in Afghanistan. That number could reach 65 or more by the end of 2011, she said.

“We’re going to contribute numbers,” Napolitano said, in explaining her department’s role in helping Afghanistan transition from military to civilian control.

Napolitano said she hoped to leave Afghanistan with an appreciation of what “skill sets” are most needed there – “and to make sure that’s included in the next wave of individuals that we (Department of Homeland Security) send over.”

In July 2002, when the George W. Bush White House released the first national strategy for the Department of Homeland Security, it identified the new agency’s three objectives as preventing terrorist attacks within the United States; reducing America’s vulnerability to terrorism; and minimizing the damage from attacks that do occur.

When asked by CNSNews.com if ICE and CBP personnel have been deployed elsewhere in the world to help secure borders, a DHS spokesperson said that they had, but that security issues prevented the department from providing details on those deployments. Such secrecy apparently does not extend to the deployments of CPB and ICE personnel to Afghanistan, however.

The DHS spokesperson did not respond to questions about what posts CBP and ICE personnel would be pulled from in order to go to Afghanistan. Nor did the spokesperson say what expertise the Homeland Security Department could provide that NATO and U.S. military forces could not provide.

Ten months ago I received a phone call from an Afghan-American translator working with the provincial reconstruction team in Uruzgan province, saying that the American soldiers there had a young girl on their base who needed help.

He would not tell me what her story was.

After I accepted her to our shelter, I was told her husband had cut her ears and nose off.

A few days later I went to Kabul airport to pick Bibi Aisha up. I don’t know how to describe it. It was too much. The first thing I saw was a hole in the middle of her face.

She was very quiet and trying to cover her face. It was sort of an instinct where if anyone sat in front of her she covered her nose.

When she came to the shelter she told us her story. She was given away in a “baad” transaction at the age of 12. This is a tribal tradition. If a family commits a crime, they give a girl to the victim’s family so the dispute is settled.
