Boxer to Introduce “Common-Sense” Firearms Act

Yup, nothing like a progressive commie like Babs flagrantly plagiarizing the title of Thomas Paine’s inspirational pamphlet, “Common Sense,” and splicing it directly into the title of her piece of crap gun control legislation.

First of all, I highly doubt Babs has even read Paine’s “Common Sense.”  Well…  Maybe she has and that is what has Babs so worried.  After all, Thomas Paine once famously said, “Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property… Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them.”  And, we all know that Babs is yet another progressive-commie invader plundering America’s property.

Secondly, considering that this current Congress has voted into effect a rule of order in which one must cite appropriate authorization from the U.S. Constitution when introducing legislation, I am quite curious as to what part of “shall not be infringed” she will choose to hang her guns upon.

Thirdly, John Boehner has an A rating from the NRA.  I highly doubt he will jeopardize that particular rating just because Barbara Boxer is afraid of guns.  Good luck getting your anti-gun bill out of committee, Babs!  Hehehehe.

And, finally, this just goes to show that commies like Babs will use any excuse, any “crisis,” anything they can dream of in order to deprive the public’s rightful access to guns.  Why?  Because they know, and we all know—whether instinctive or not—that guns and the “militia,” right now, are the only things keeping America from tumbling headlong into a full-blown commie-progressive dictatorship:

Boxer to Introduce Common-Sense Concealed Firearms Act of 2011

Press Release from Barbara Boxer:

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) today announced that […] she will introduce the Common-Sense Concealed Firearms Act of 2011, which would require all states that allow residents to carry concealed weapons in public to have minimum standards for granting permits.

Senator Boxer said, “The tragic events in Tucson earlier this month are a reminder of why we need common-sense gun laws. This measure will establish reasonable permitting standards for Americans who wish to carry concealed firearms. According to a recent poll, more than 60 percent of respondents believe there should be a reasonable permitting process for those who wish to carry concealed firearms.”

Senator Boxer’s legislation would require all states that allow residents to carry concealed weapons to establish permitting processes that would include meaningful consultation with local law enforcement authorities to determine whether the permit applicant is worthy of the public trust and has shown good cause to carry a concealed firearm.

Currently, two states do not permit residents to carry concealed firearms, while three states, including Arizona, allow residents to carry concealed firearms in public without a permit. The other 45 states require residents to obtain permits to carry concealed firearms, but the majority of these states would not meet the standard set in this bill.

Senator Boxer plans to introduce the legislation when the Senate reconvenes next week.

Does this idiot really think that someone like Loughner is concerned about a gun permit?
If you’re bent on what I consider the ultimate crime, murder, are you really going to hesitate because you don’t want to carry illegally?
This is nothing more than an attempt to federally pre-empt state carry laws.
Sheesh, these people are a never ending source of both frustration and bemusement.

Were I a state governor or AG and this passed, I’d have to tell the US Congress, etc., to stick it. The federal government has no authority to require anything of this sort.

    MYOB, babs.

Laws only apply to those of us who follow them… criminals will always break the laws and create more havoc and anarchy because that is the nature of those who ignore others rights so they can keep thier own criminality as thier ‘right’.

    • Ronin Says:

I read this to a few friends and this is what they said they would do.

Ignore what laws pass or do not pass, Keep the guns and use them before giving them up. They also said they would arm as many criminals as possible should guns become illegal.

I told them they forgot to add maps to voting stations and government offices as they drop off their free guns. Let the criminals decide who their enemies are.

Now, I doubt it will ever happen but the fact that they are planning for it makes me smile.

    • Big Frank Says:

Correct again my friend, our prisons are bursting at the seams filled with an assortment of anti-social misfits who never cared for one second to obey our laws or the consequences of their actions.

      • Ronin Says:

We could stay busy by listing all the things they have passed laws against that are still common and out of control. From drugs to speeding, even the simple things they cannot stop. Bottom line, I trust myself and my weapons more than I trust them. From day one we were told, weapons are needed to control vermin and we all know that most politicians are worse than vermin.

There are 3 main deficiencies w/gun abolishment advocates. (Yes, I know there are many others, but I speak of the topical ones).

    A) Even if idealists, (who generally have a very difficult time recognizing and grasping reality), had their way and all guns mysteriously disappeared from the USA, the black market would feed criminals all the guns they wanted. Illegal methods are the way of criminals.

    B) A disarmed country of law abiding citizens in a country where prohibition did not work, keeps guns in the hands of criminals who would feel much less trepidation about breaking and entering ppls homes.

    C) As usual idealists are attacking a symptom, rather than root cause, of the greater problem. Violence is generally the direct result of fear. . In short, a person feels an internal contradiction between the need to control those things which they cant realistic control, and the brain reacts negatively. Add to this the ever increasing liberal fed BS that ppl are entitled to a wealthy style of living as a birth-right as opposed to having to actually work for it, and when they don’t get it, they feel victimized. The result is the type of violence we see in the news.

The problem for the liberals is that to admit that such socialist liberal thinking is one of the root causes is unconscionable, so instead, lets make guns illegal. Forget the fact that A) and B) would then result. Idealists can’t fathom why everyone doesnt simply obey all laws. $.02

That crazy commie has no common-Sense. She just does the bidding of her handlers. The CFR, UN, Marxist, Globalist types.

This shows her treason against America.

  6. I was thinking and finally came to a decision : being an israeli is the worst punishment of all ! Israel is the worst place ever . People don’t love us at all . They love France , Italy , England , Australia , Spain , and all the countries of the pure-blooded people . those who aren’t jewish . Worst thing is people judge you by the country you come from and the people you belong to . If it’s a good nation , they’ll be nice to you . If it’s a bad nation , they’ll be mean to you . I usually do the same when it comes to meeting people from other countries . I am really mean to them even if they’re nice to me ’cause I know they just pretend and they hate me inside . Americans are not on my list . Even though i’m still afraid of them and how they’ll (mis)treat me in case I show up there again . they do not concider us as their friends anyway . Being afraid of course , doesn’t mean i’ll write nasty things like mr. “jew from israel” wrote . Yet , I find no reason to be proud …

    • Gonzo Says:

israelatheist, cheer up man. I think you are overly sensitive concerning Israeli/American relations.
I’ve been to Israel and felt no “vibe” any different than being in any other city in the US. People were generally polite just like anywhere else. I did have one sherut driver try to rip me off, but that is like anywhere else to. I also had one bus driver go out of his way to assure that my wife and I got to where we were going – a very kind gentleman he was.

The only place I’ve ever really seen anti-semetic commentary is on the internet. It is not in my workplace, among my friends, among my family, or in any other circle.
      Now France,…that is a different story. 🙂

Now, since you admit that you are mean to foreigners, 1 question for you: Do you have one bad eye and drive a sherut for a living? – if so, FU.

      • France is ok . I’ve been to France and felt no anti-semitism . Not even in Germany . In Germany I felt anti americanism though , but understanding towards the israelis . And why did u go to israel exactly ?

        • and i’m not unkind to every foreigner . only those who come from countries that are hostile to israel . Like Spain or England . If they come from Germany for example , than i’m nice to them . if they’re english , they can go f–k themselves . I never saw an american in my country but i’ve seen an american group in Vienna , austria . I left a place and they were behind me so I held the door for them . It’s polite and americans do that all the time . I remembered it from my last trip to the USA .

Don’t bother listening to this skank failure, I don’t.

  8. tgusa Says:

Democrats have allowed people to immigrate to America who will return us to the wild wild west. In the beginning everyone had weapons in the wild west but as time went on towns were built, do you know why? Safety, towns were a place where people could gather and put away their guns. So Boxer etc, have returned us to the time before towns were created and set loose the hole in the wall gang and now they want to take our weapons away. Hey stupids, you have made the towns unsafe and everyone is moving into the countryside, idiots!

  9. tgusa Says:

Boxer is saying that America has changed and I agree. We have allowed in, people from places that our ancestors knew to be intolerant and ethnocentric, people like Mexicans and middle easterners and yes Africans too. That is the truth, you cannot change the country and have the same country, looking south, or east, you cannot argue that we have the same values. Democrats did all of this in the late 60’s and now we see the results filtering in, pleased, Americans?

The truth is America is not Disneyland it is a country with clear values and culture, yes we still have our culture even though they have tried to stomp it out, read the internet and you realize, they have failed. Here is another truth, Americans, do you think you have it within you to do what would need to be done? That would mean the deportation of tens of millions. That would mean the revocation of citizenship and the tossing out of some Americans whose families have been here a long time.

This is the only way to return America to what we were, are you willing to do what you must, America?

    • tgusa Says:

Do you think we had the Chinese exclusion act because, we were racists? No, it was because our ancestors knew that they were racist. Yes, every time the Chinese get mad they kill all the foreigners first. They want us to think that, we da racists, wrong!
