ACORN Stinger, James O’Keefe, Strikes Again: Nails NPR Executive – Rants Against Christians and Tea Partiers
Oh, this one is particularly juicy in that, just yesterday, NPR’s Vivian Schiller was trying to convince everyone that NPR was not a particularly biased in any one direction or other and anything to the contrary was merely a “perception issue” with their listeners.
Yeah, we all knew it was a bunch of BS when she said it, which is why I suspect James O’Keefe decided now was the time to release this undercover video in which he sets up NPR’s Senior Executive, Ron Schiller, by convincing him that he is talking with members of the Muslim Brotherhood:
“The current Republican Party, particularly the Tea Party, is fanatically involved in people’s personal lives and very fundamental Christian – I wouldn’t even call it Christian. It’s this weird evangelical kind of move.” […] “Tea Party people” aren’t “just Islamaphobic, but really xenophobic, I mean basically they are, they believe in sort of white, middle-America gun-toting. I mean, it’s scary. They’re seriously racist, racist people.” – Ron Schiller – NPR’s Senior Executive
I’m sure it’s all just a perception problem… /sarc
UPDATE: NPR jumps into hyper-CYA-drive and immediately releases the following statement:
“The fraudulent organization represented in this video repeatedly pressed us to accept a $5 million check, with no strings attached, which we repeatedly refused to accept.
“We are appalled by the comments made by Ron Schiller in the video, which are contrary to what NPR stands for.
“Mr. Schiller announced last week that he is leaving NPR for another job.”
“Appalled,” you say? Really? Yeah, sure you are…Explore posts in the same categories: Media Bias
