Live Video Feeds Were Blank For 25 Minutes. No Wonder There Are So Many Different Accounts of Osama Bin Laden’s Assassination

Let me see now…  The operation lasted for 40 minutes.  Now it comes out that 25 of those minutes were blacked out for unspecified reasons even though Obama had previously led the American public to believe that he watched the entire operation…  Yup, that might help explain the wild variances in  “official” accounts of the event.

That is to say, unless Obama and company are actually trying to hide something of great importance from the public:

From the Telegraph:

Leon Panetta, director of the CIA, revealed there was a 25 minute blackout during which the live feed from cameras mounted on the helmets of the US special forces was cut off.

A photograph released by the White House appeared to show the President and his aides in the situation room watching the action as it unfolded. In fact they had little knowledge of what was happening in the compound.

Mr Panetta said: “Once those teams went into the compound I can tell you that there was a time period of almost 20 or 25 minutes where we really didn’t know just exactly what was going on. And there were some very tense moments as we were waiting for information.

“We had some observation of the approach there, but we did not have direct flow of information as to the actual conduct of the operation itself as they were going through the compound.”

From The Bookworm Room (I’ve added some links to help corroborate some of the different versions of events):

Okay, what do we have here:

1) There was a firefight.
2) There was no firefight.
3) Bin Laden was “resisting.
4) Bin Laden wasn’t armed. (Makes the concept of “resisting” interesting.)
[4.a) And the newest one: the SEALS thought bin Laden was reaching for a weapon.]
5) He used his wife as a shield.
6) His wife was killed too.
7) He didn’t use his wife as a shield. She ran at a SEAL who shot her in the leg, but she’s fine.
8 ) Some other woman — the maid? — was used as a shield. By somebody. Downstairs.
9) That other woman — downstairs — was killed.
10) Maybe not. She was killed unless she wasn’t — and who was she, anyway?
11) Bin Laden’s son was killed.
12) Unless it was some other guy.
13) Bin Laden’s daughter saw him get killed. She’s undoubtedly traumatized, poor dear.
14) They were going to capture Bin Laden until the problem with the helicopter, which was:

A) It had mechanical trouble
B) It did a hard landing
C) It crashed
D) It clipped a wall with a tail rotor, effectively a crash

15.) They were never going to try to capture him; it was always a kill mission.
16.) No, it wasn’t.
17) The chopper blew up.
18) The SEALs blew it up.

    ugh… politi-craps cant keep anything straight…

  2. True Patriot Says:

Like I keep saying this whole sham is a lie. Michael Savage went off on this fraud last night and called out Obama for this orchestration and scam.

I do not believe anything Obama says, and only half of what he says since he uses a photoshop machine.

Obama’s entire miserable soul is a fraud .

He will go down as the biggest fraud and scam in the history of the world.

And the Zombies and Obots that voted for him will go down as the stupidest idiots in the world.

Clearly at this time it is obvious that the situation was well beyond the normal advance of a formulation with concern to the imperative emergence of a critical risk to the ulterior report, which is why, when the situation had advanced to within parameters that lend toward the implementation of action 1D-342-B8, with an emphasis on countermeasure A2, it became prudent to align provisions empathetic to the structured timeline with which to absorb the condition therefore of. Once the situation had reached the beginning stages of finalization, there was no point to consider further elements beyond the assembled perspectives which would inevitably yield to the confines of the situation at hand.

We hope this factual and slightly sanitized statement with regard to the assertion that the operation with which you may or may not be aware, has been adequately unraveled without concern of fraud or instability.

    Thank you.

    • LOL! Nice! Loved it! Kinda’ reminded me of Rumsfeld: “There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don’t know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don’t know we don’t know.”

Yeah, personally, I think Panetta is doing one of those CYA thingies by claiming the video feeds were down for about 25 minutes. That way, any “official” story can be changed on a whim because, well…the video feeds were down at that time, don’tcha know?

I can just see the gears spinning in Panetta’s little mind: “Let’s see… How do I reconcile all these different version from the same people who were in the same room with me… Hey, I know, I’ll just say the video feeds were down for most of the operation! Bingo! Yeah, that’s the ticket! No one will ever think to question that…”

        Thank you kind sir.
It is actually quite difficult to ramble on endlessly without saying anything. I have a new and profound respect for PHD’s who write books. 🙂
        (I’m kidding……..of course).

To quote a playwright that I worked with in college and the tagline from one of his plays: “Nobody is ever really joking.” 🙂

P.S. loved the report, no obfuscation is too overly, duplicitously, confounding for our administration.

I believe this picture is a fake, there’s no way Obama knows how to use a PlayStation controller all by himself.

    • Gonzo Says:

Naaa, I believe that is an electronic version of the Caesar “thumb up, thumb down” signal.

“Now, Mr. President, if you want bin Laden to live, push the….NO,…not, …wait, ….ok, nevermind.”

    • Gonzo Says:

BTW, am I seeing what I think I’m seeing on the laptop screen in front of Hillary? Tell me that State Department memos arent now being hid in booby images – that’s the first place radical Muslim men will be looking.

      • PB-in-AL Says:

Gonzo, thanks for the tip to look closer.

Dr. B. – nice photoshopping! LOL

        • Thanks! I didn’t do the game controller nor the nudie pic on Hillary’s laptop; however, I couldn’t help but insert our website on Gates’ laptop!

      • tgusa Says:

It must be part of that boobs not bombs campaign I have been hearing about. IMO, this will only lead to a stiff opposition.

The guy at the forefront is getting ready to post at Doc and Ronins, I’m not an American, but… While Hillary appears shocked at the fisting video they have on the main screen the rest of them have that, I’ve seen this all before look. Meanwhile, the Air Force General seems to be working furiously to set up streaming between his and Msrs. Clinton’s computer.

        • Gonzo Says:

You could be right. Upon closer examination of the room’s inhabitants, one can clearly assert that the couple in the very back, (closest to the door), have just returned from a brief trip to the broom closet, and, having just returned, are now attempting to appear engrossed in the progress of the video. Sneaky, sneaky, sneaky.

  5. Big Frank Says:

This is typical for the administration of our ‘Dear Leader’, the stories and accounts of this whole UBL incident changes not day by day but now hour by hour. IMHO there are so many versions that even the inner circle of political sycophants, and lackeys are confused.

  6. tgusa Says:

I heard Jose Cuervo made the call, Pancho Villas b-day and all.

  7. Big Frank Says:

“Obama killed Usama and we got 72 versions”

  8. tnr Says:

[…]Who’s the woman peeking her head from the back? A White House caption for the photo identifies her as Audrey Tomason with title “Director for Counterterrorism.” But in a room full of oft-cited and quoted people, there’s fleetingly little published information about who she is or what she does for the administration.[…]
[…]Ms Tomason argues in her thesis that our world’s population has been “artificially inflated” for the past nearly 100 years by a “non-sustainable” petrochemical and fossil fuel based global economy that if left “unchecked” could very well destroy all life on Earth, not just human beings.[…]
[…]Ms Tomason further argues in her “Apocalypse Equation” thesis (now classified by the US as “top-secret”) that since the collapse of civilization as we know it is “inevitable,” world leaders should consider the possibility of “mass genocide” to reduce our world’s population to a more “sustainable level commensurate with our Earth’s resources.”[…]

    etc etc …
