Obama Losing the College Graduate Crowd

Hm.  Very interesting.  I wonder if this trend will hold up throughout the 2012 campaign season:

Recent college grads sour on Obama, surveys say
The Daily Caller – Via Yahoo News

A very large proportion of recent university graduates have soured on President Barack Obama, and many will vote GOP or stay at home in the 2012 election, according to two new surveys of younger voters.

“These rock-solid Obama constituents are free-agents,” said Kellyanne Conway, president of The Polling Company, based in Washington, D.C. She recently completed a large survey of college grads, and “they’re shopping around, considering their options, [and] a fair number will say at home and sit it out,” she said.

The scope of this disengagement from Obama is suggested by an informal survey of 500 post-grads by Joe Maddalone, founder of Maddalone Global Strategies. Of his sample, 93 percent are aged between 22 and 28, 67 percent are male and 83 percent voted for Obama in 2008. But only 27 percent are committed to voting for Obama again, and 80 percent said they would consider voting for a Republican, said New York-based Maddalone.

That’s a drop of almost 60 points in support for Obama among this influential class of younger post-grad voters, who Maddalone recruited at conferences held at New York University and Thomson-Reuters’ New York headquarters.

One thousand college students ranked education, economic and health care as their top three issues, but credited top marks to the GOP for its stance on military issues and a “business-friendly environment.” The students ranked the GOP low on environmental, immigration and gay-rights issues, but they also ranked those last two issues as a low priority.

Son #2 is working hard to get his Associates degree before enlisting. Proud to say that he is very Conservative even though he has had to go toe to toe with a couple professors who continually cram their Liberal mindset on the classes.

The youth of today are very astute and thanks to the internet, they do not rely on the blathering of one source over another. They actually research issues, which was evident by the in-depth discussion we had on economics.

They may have originally been pulled in by the charm of Obama, but thankfully upon witnessing the demise of the nation, they are diligently seeking out answers.

My adult children are already hard at work teaching my 6 grandchildren that big government and socialism is the road to ruin.

Way to go!!! This is what we have to do to counteract what the government and school is teaching them….

Lets do hope AND pray that young people become informed and aware so they can recognize the wolf in sheep’s clothing!

Too bad they voted for Obama and will probably die in some random desert while serving on the front lines during the coming global conflagration. The world is extremely unkind to the fool.

Obama is not losing the college crowd. It is just that when they graduate and have to go into the real world
many leave their college ideas behind. Frat parties, beer and Obama was then, now it’s work and mortgage.

The “informal survey” carried out by “Maddalone Global Strategies” (a tiny consultancy without a proper website run by a young Republican) involved candidates Joe Maddalone personally recruited at his conferences in New York. That is not in any way a legitimate or meaningful poll. It’s not even, really, a “poll”.
