Saudi Cleric’s Fatwa Re-Affirms Pedophilia is A-Okay With Islam

Yeah, I know we harp about this repeatedly, but it bears repeating over and over and over again:  Muhammad was a pedophile, and as such, Islam promotes pedophilia:

New Saudi Fatwa Defends Pedophilia as ‘Marriage’
Posted by Raymond Ibrahim – Frontpage

Muslim “child-marriage”—euphemism for pedophilia—is making headlines again, at least in Arabic media: Dr. Salih bin Fawzan, a prominent cleric and member of Saudi Arabia’s highest religious council, just issued a fatwa asserting that there is no minimum age for marriage, and that girls can be married “even if they are in the cradle.”

Appearing in Saudi papers on July 13, the fatwa complains that “Uninformed interference with Sharia rulings by the press and journalists is on the increase, posing dire consequences to society, including their interference with the question of marriage to small girls who have not reached maturity, and their demand that a minimum age be set for girls to marry.”

Fawzan insists that nowhere does Sharia set an age limit for marrying girls: like countless Muslim scholars before him, he relies on Koran 65:4, which discusses marriage to females who have not yet begun menstruating (i.e., are prepubescent)  and the fact that Muhammad, Islam’s role model, married Aisha when she was 6-years-old, “consummating” the marriage—or, in modern parlance, raping her—when she was 9.

The point of the Saudi fatwa, however, is not that girls as young as 9 can have sex, based on Muhammad’s example, but rather that there is no age limit whatsoever; the only question open to consideration is whether the girl is physically capable of handling her husband/rapist.  Fawzan documents this point by quoting Ibn Batal’s authoritative exegesis of Sahih Bukhari:

The ulema [Islam’s interpreters] have agreed that it is permissible for fathers to marry off their small daughters, even if they are in the cradle.  But it is not permissible for their husbands to have sex with them unless they are capable of being placed beneath and bearing the weight of the men.  And their capability in this regard varies based on their nature and capacity.  Aisha was 6 when she married the prophet, but he had sex with her when she was 9 [i.e., when she was deemed capable].

Fawzan concludes his fatwa with a warning: “It behooves those who call for setting a minimum age for marriage to fear Allah and not contradict his Sharia, or try to legislate things Allah did not permit.  For laws are Allah’s province; and legislation is his excusive right, to be shared by none other.  And among these are the rules governing marriage.”

Fawzan, of course, is not the first to insist on the legitimacy of pedophilia in Islam.  Even the former grand mufti of Saudi Arabia supported “child-marriage,” since “the Koran and Sunna document it.”

Nor is this just some theoretic, theological point; the lives of many young girls are being destroyed because of this ruling.  Recall, for instance, the 13-year-old girl who died while her much older husband was copulating with her (it was later revealed that, due to her reluctance, he was tying her up and “raping” her—as if there is another way to describe sex with children); or the 12-year-old who died giving birth to a stillborn; or the 10-year-old who made headlines by hiding out from her 80-year-old “husband.”

Then there are the countless anonymous girls who do nothing to warrant any media attention—such as die—and have learned to live with their elderly husbands pawing at them, like, no doubt, the girl who married Islam’s most popular cleric, Yusuf Qaradawi, when she was 14.

What do we make of the fact that it is always Islam’s religious, authoritative voices—not aberrant voices, not “terrorists,” “extremists,” or any other euphemism coined for the occasion—that are constantly demonstrating Sharia’s savageries?  Weeks before this fatwa, a female politician and activist in Kuwait called for institutionalizing sex-slavery (recommending that Muslims buy and sell female Russian captives from the Chechnya war); a popular Egyptian preacher not only said the same thing, but added that the solution to Islam’s poverty is to go on jihad and plunder the lives and possessions of infidels.

Sounds odd?  Perhaps; but it is perfectly consistent.  After all, distilled and in the eyes of the non-believer, Sharia law is nothing less than a legal system built atop the words and deeds of a 7th century Arab, whose behavior—from pedophilia and sex-slavery to war mongering and plundering—was very much that of a 7th century Arab.  Having enticed or enslaved his contemporaries into following him, his teachings continue to entice and enslave their descendants; and, now as then, it is always the innocent who suffer.

I was strolling down the street, passed a cute little smiling five or six year old girl who was walking with a black wraith when it struck me.
If all you see are shapeless body bags in mourning paedophilia is the only answer.

  2. In regard to “pedophilia–related marriages,” one of my former professor colleagues (I have since retired) “married” a 12-year-old child, when he was 35.

This professor wrote a book about his marriage to this child, and made money selling this book to students in his anthropology classes.

Because we shared some of these anthropology students, I was asked what I thought about a 35-year-old marrying a 12-year-old child, under the guise of anthropological research?

My answer was that I considered it child sexual abuse, and perhaps an example of pedophilia, for a 35-year-old man, to “marry” a 12-year-old child.

Because of my answer, the University where we worked, arranged for the New Jersey Attorney General to charge me with having violated this professor’s civil rights (December 2006). And as of today (July 27, 2011) this case is still under investigation.

I was obliged to retire because of my having been charged with this civil rights violation, and now I hesitate to seek employment as an adjunct professor because a civil rights case, involving pedophilia, is still being held over my head.

Ps. Why did the University arrange for the child-marrying professor to file a civil rights violation charge against me?

Because I have documented the fact that the University President used fraudulent academic credentials to become the university president (documents available,)

Pps. A photograph of this child-marrying professor, accompanied by his totally-frontally-nude 12-year-old wife, can currently be viewed on-line.

Google: Kenneth Good; then go a few categories down to a row of photos identified as “Image results for Kenneth Good” — open it — make sure safe-guard is off — then select — and enlarge, the photo of the man holding hands with the nude 12-year-old child.

Saudi Arabia isn’t the only country that does nothing about child marriages.

In the USA it appears to be OK for a man to marry a child — as long as it’s called “anthropological research..

And “family values” New Jersey Governor Chris Christie — refuses to do anything about this.

I just read that politicians are like diapers and need to be changed often, both for the same reason.

This is nothing more than slavery, forced servitude, etc, under the guise of a so called religious ideology. These people seem to be obsessed with sex and sexuality. I can see them drooling over a little girl in a cradle, Forget taking candy from a baby, with these maniacs the baby is the candy.

Raped and Ransacked in the Muslim World
Posted by Raymond Ibrahim ↓ on May 31st, 2011

For moslems and thier ‘morality’ its ok to marry 10 yr old girls, rape non muslim women, steal, thieve and use jihad as a route to bring in slaves / converts.

On top of all we begin to ascertain the preachings of the so-called prophet, an Arab Maronite Christian friend of mine reveled to me that most translations from Arabic to English of the ‘holy book’ of the followers of the teachings of the alleged prophet Have been ‘cleaned up’ or ‘sanitized’ so as to gain a more favorable image of Islam. He said to read the book to me and translate word for word it would sicken him.

There are various theories regarding cognitive development, with each indicating stages of subsequently higher levels of reasoning. In the upper stage is the ability to move past a requirement of having to be told what is right and what is wrong, and instead to be able to process higher levels of reasoning which could effectually give a person a moral compass of sorts.

I think such theorists tend to whitewash peoples abilities toward immoral justification. But for those individuals in Islamic ruled countries that have advanced reasoning skills which end up in conflict with such amoral acts such as child rape, they have two huge obstacles to overcome.

The first is having to recognize that the religious pretexts that they have been brainwashed with since birth, may in fact be wrong. And when one pretext is that these religious pretexts can’t be wrong, (or you will surely go to hell), then they either have to question Islam, or justify the conundrum as being simply a wrong interpretation.

The second major obstacle are the religious zealots who wish to maintain the status quo, (likely for perverted reasons), who will declare anyone who questions their interpretation as blasphemous to the level of insulting to Allah himself, rising to the level of apostasy, for which they should be put to death.

It is bad enough to have a culture with a long history of accepting child rape, it is worse to have religious pretexts to justify it, and it is catastrophic to have even more religious pretexts used to threaten death against those who would question it. In the world today, there is only one such culture with one such set of religious pretexts, and that is Islam.

The closest other is the LDS, but then, they don’t prescribe the death penalty for apostates as a tool to squash dissension, so Islam is still the worst of the bunch.

  7. muslem Says:

    Islam does not allow this
    Only in the Wahhabi belief

    God’s curse on Wahhabism

  8. I wouldnt be that sure muslem. Islams sorted history with muhammads actions in the hadiths doesnt make the wahabis the sole source of child marriage in islam.
