Obama Administration Now Blaming Bush for Solyndra Debacle

Harry Truman famously had a sign on his desk which said:

The BUCK STOPS here!

Apparently, Obama has a sign planted firmly on his desk which reads, “The BUCK PASSING BEGINS here!”

Sheesh!   Grow up, already, and learn to take responsibility for your own actions, you freakin’ irresponsible Lefturd morons:

Solyndra: Blame It On Bush, Say Obama Officials

After spending months touting the Obama administration’s decision to loan $535 million to the California solar energy upstart Solyndra, top officials took a new tack Wednesday while testifying before Congress about the company’s abrupt shut-down and bankruptcy: the loan, they said, was actually the Bush administration’s idea. The Energy Department’s top lending officer told Congress that the Solyndra loan application was not only filed during President Bush’s term, but it surged towards completion before Obama took office in January 2009.

“By the time the Obama administration took office in late January 2009, the loan programs’ staff had already established a goal of, and timeline for, issuing the company a conditional loan guarantee commitment in March 2009,” said Jonathan Silver, who heads the Energy loan program.

Republicans pushed back hard against this version of events, unearthing internal Energy Department emails that indicate the panel evaluating the loans had made the unanimous decision to shelve Solyndra’s application two weeks before Obama took office.

Blaming the failed loan on the Bush administration marked an abrupt turn for the Energy Department, which had championed the Solyndra loan as a model for its efforts to build a so-called “green energy” industry that creates jobs and safeguards the environment. The Solyndra loan was so central to this strategy that the administration initially planned to have Obama personally announce it, and later sent the president to the company’s solar panel manufacturing facility in Fremont, California to celebrate its work.

The House investigation into the matter had been underway well before the company collapsed. Federal auditors had already questioned the methods the energy department was using to analyze the loans. And beginning in March, ABC News, in partnership with the Center for Public Integrity’s iWatch News, began reporting on simmering questions about the role political influence may have played in Solyndra’s selection as the Obama administration’s first loan guarantee recipient.

Emails uncovered by investigators for the House Energy and Commerce Committee showed that the Obama White House closely monitored the Energy Department’s deliberations over the $535 million government loan, which was backed by an Obama fundraiser. The internal emails uncovered by investigators showed the administration was keenly monitoring the progress of the loan, even as analysts were voicing serious concerns about the risk involved.

“This deal is NOT ready for prime time,” one White House budget analyst wrote in a March 10, 2009 email, nine days before the administration formally announced the loan.

“If you guys think this is a bad idea, I need to unwind the W[est] W[ing] QUICKLY,” wrote Ronald A. Klain, who was chief of staff to Vice President Joe Biden, in another email sent March 7, 2009. The “West Wing” is the portion of the White House complex that holds the offices of the president and his top staffers. Klain declined comment to ABC News.

Solyndra Was Central to Obama Green Strategy

Indeed, when the loan was announced in March of 2009, Energy Secretary Chu issued his own press release, identifying Solyndra as “part of President Obama’s aggressive strategy to put Americans back to work and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.”

I can’t believe it. This money would have been better spent funding, oh I don’t know, scratch and sniff ballots or something.

We can’t blame Bush, as his administration was against a loan to the morons at soilindra. Personally, I blame McCain.

At this point only the chronically stupid are even listening to the student body resident.

I blame affirmative action, without that Obama would not be in over his head. This is what happens when voters select their candidate based on the color of ones skin rather than the content of ones character or qualifications. Democrats in particular have spent much of my lifetime glorifying Martin Luther King, naming streets after him, commissioning Chinese statues of him and his content of character over color of skin rallying cry. And then they voted, for color of skin over character and qualification.

If you think obama is bad, just imagine what McCain is thinking, he lost to him! A distinction that will live in infamy.

The greens want to pick winners and losers among nature and the evolution of the planet. Its not about the planet but their primitive vision of the planet. If these people were serious, instead of trying to green the power grid (with multitudes of non green materials, paid for by people using traditional forms of energy output) instead of trying to, make water into wine, as per electricity generation, they should have focused on making devices run on the sun, or the moon or the wind, whatever. Really, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear greens calling for a reintroduction of dinosaurs as they were here first.

Never mind that over 95 percent of species that ever walked the Earth have gone extinct. Forget the fact that we have learned something new about our planet almost every day that I have been alive. The greens deny nature, natural selection, its like affirmative action for the planet but its not nice to try to fool Mother Nature. We could end up with a disaster of, well, Biblical proportions. Yes, the planet is under threat but from these pickers and choosers, not the rest of us.

When I was young, the country was dirty, the skyline of LA was not visible through the smog, the rivers were polluted but most of that is gone. The truth is, most of these people could not handle the past. In the past, if you wanted to go green, you became a hermit, these people cannot even put down their cell phones for five minutes. I can’t believe the hysteria. I liken it to Orson Welles radio broadcast of The War of the Worlds that caused many Americans to think we were under alien attack.
