What Happens When the 99% Meets the 1%?

Answer?  They get schooled!  That’s what happens:

P.S. – I made an executive decision last week not to cover these “Occupy” idiots anymore because they obviously get plenty of coverage in the news and on the blogosphere.  However, from time to time, I will make an exception when I feel it is warranted– such as in the case of the above Peter Schiff video.

I’m still sitting on the fence on this one. Here is why.

    1) First, I don’t believe the MSM and their reporting. I don’t believe for a second that the entire event is a concentration of marxists socialists commies druggies. That is what the MSM wants us to believe, when in fact, there are more solid issues at work.

    2) I agree with the original premise that the elitists own the media, own Congress, and are above the law. One of the primary reasons for that is that oversight committees are used as a career path in to very high paying cushy jobs in the very industry that the federal committee members were suppose to be overseeing.

    3) I defend citizens right to freedom of speech and assembly…period.

Now, that being said, I don’t agree with many of the fringe idiocy that spawns from the OWS collective, such as:

    A) The notion that capitalism is inherently evil.

    B) That socialism provides equality, and despite history of it never, ever, providing equality and utopia, that someone in America it magically will.

    C) That all business is bad, and doing bad things.

    D) That everyone deserves and should get free higher ed.

I also think that this could grow to the point that could scare the crap out of those elite few, and that there is a risk of marshal law being imposed nationwide. At which point in time, I will be joining the protests with a vengeance.

Finally, I think the activists need to produce a coherent and sensible solution, or go friggin home.

      Growing?

All quiet on the western front.

      • tgusa Says:

Nobody wants a white male slave, they are too much trouble to deal with.

        • tgusa Says:

I only say that because it is freedom loving white male westerners against everybody else. Just where we always have been.

          Bring It On.

        • Gonzo Says:

Native American Indians didnt make good slaves either – far too much sense of freedom and independence. If all of the prophecies are correct, it will be America that is used by God to defeat Satan.

Perhaps that is why socialism is so strong with non-white males – a strong need to have someone else take care of them and tell them what to do.

Growing, yep. You know how many countries this is in now? Activities are occurring in small pockets in places like Russia, China, London, Italy, Hong Kong, Sidney, Germany, Japan, Puerto Rico, Philippines, France, Mexico, Sweden, (others?), not to mention all of the different cities in the US. There are also solidarity demonstrations throughout the mideast, especially in those countries that have been active in the arab-spring.
What, you didnt hear about those from the MSM? … nooooo.

LOL, this revolution wont be televised.

But I think you hit on something critical. It seems that whenever the police go in and bust heads, it tends to encourage greater participation.

        • tgusa Says:

I wonder just how much American taxpayer looted monies have these countries you list squandered already? They bad mouthed us when we were rich, now that we are struggling I say to heck with them. From now on they will have to make their way through the world without our assistance. That’s a line (paraphrased) from the movie The Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

What the lefties fear most is, The Brown Note, a supposed beam that when directed at a person cause then to spontaniously go to the bathroom in their pants. That seems like a good way to break up a mob. . These protests are nothing like the TEA party, they blame Wall Street alone not DC politicians who conspired to create law that resulted in this mess. But if you really want to see angry people wait until these anti energy policies destroy even more of our economy. There will not be enough security in the world to handle the raging mobs.

Lets face it, these “camps” in America, are communes. But the ironic thing is without the police presence, without the surrounding city of people these communes would soon become filthy, malnutrition riddled, criminal hotbeds. If they were to relocate their camps to the desert or mountains they would all soon die of starvation. Turns out these camps are unsustainable.

  2. tgusa Says:

It really should be called the 3%, 1% who occupy spots in the private sector, 1% who lay-about in the guvmint sector and 1% who reside in these camps. The other 97% of Americans can’t stand and have had enough of the 3%. And then we have the television media who produce nothing of value and are just taking up space.

  3. tgusa Says:

Sorry to bombard the comments section but one last ironic thing is these people are progressives. They probably they were probably raised by prog parents, taught by prog teachers, they voted for prog pols. The progs gave away these young peoples safety net. We had bank but the progs wanted major change so they gave it away to non citizens, they brought people here in the millions who don’t share our values and want nothing more than to fleece the rest of us Americans. Their parents and teachers and pols did it to them, Change! But now they are angry and I would be to. Their parents helped them get loans to pay teachers 200 000 dollars for some “studies” degree. Prog politicians were more than happy to set up an atmosphere where this could all take place. Bwahahaha.

Cry me a river, its tough all over for all of us out there right now. Cry, and them go home and blame your prog parents, etc.

Community organizers, no, just a bunch of hustlers.
