Lowe’s Hardware Comes Under Fire for Pulling its Advertising During TLC’s ‘All American Muslim’

Hey, it’s still a somewhat relatively free country with a Free Market.  If Lowe’s doesn’t want to waste money advertising during a particular time slot, they are more than free to do as they wish.  It’s their money, their right.  Right?

Throughout the history of television, sponsors have continually rotated in and out of advertising slots.  It’s a business.  If sponsors aren’t getting a good return for their investment in advertising during a particular program, or they feel that a program is not in line with their core values, or—as appears to be the case in this instance—they receive sufficient backlash from the public, then it only makes sense that they pull their advertising.  That’s the way it has always worked and will continue to work.  Like I said, it’s a business.

So, why all the hubbub?  Well, it’s pretty obvious:  We are dealing with a bunch of whiny Muzzies and their legions of dhimmified Lefturds:

‘All American Muslim’: Russell Simmons Lashes Out at Lowe’s for Pulling Ads from TLC Show
by Crystal Bell – AOL News

Hip-hop mogul and former reality star Russell Simmons slammed Lowe’s hardware store after it pulled its ads from TLC’s new series ‘All American Muslim,’ exclusively reports Entertainment Weekly.

“This can’t happen in America … [Lowe’s] needs to fix this immediately,” Simmons said. “They can’t get away with that, it’s ridiculous. There are American principals at stake here. I can’t imagine the Anti-Defamation League, the NAACP, the National Urban League, or any organization that fights for their own rights will allow this to happen to any other group because they know they’re next.”

Might I just interject here that Russell Simmons admits that his own politics are even farther Left than Keith Olbermann’s?  Just thought I’d throw that in there for a sense of perspective.

Simmons isn’t the only one upset by the homebuilding store’s decision. According to the Los Angeles Times, California state senator Ted Lieu called on Lowe’s to apologize for pulling its advertising from the TV show, which follows the lives of five Muslim American families from the Dearborn, Michigan area, home to one of the most active Muslim communities in the country.

Yet, according to the conservative Florida Family Association, “The show profiles only Muslims that appear to be ordinary folks while excluding many Islamic believers whose agenda poses a clear and present danger to liberties and traditional values that the majority of Americans cherish.”

They then encouraged members to email the program’s advertisers, the conservative organization posted a letter reportedly from a Lowe’s representative, stating that the retail giant has agreed to pull its ads from the docu-series: “While we continue to advertise on various cable networks, including TLC, there are certain programs that do not meet Lowe’s advertising guidelines, including the show you brought to our attention. Lowe’s will no longer be advertising on that program.”

Lowe’s then acknowledged its decision on Twitter. “We did not pull our ads based solely on the complaints or emails of any one group. It is never our intent to alienate anyone. Lowe’s values diversity of thought in everyone, including our employees and prospective customers.”

However, Simmons says that pulling the ads was “a stupid thing to do,” reports Entertainment Weekly, and called on the hardware company to show support the show, instead of pulling its ads.

“This is a press nightmare for them,” Simmons told Entertainment Weekly. “This country is built on religious freedom. This is the kind of hate that tears this country apart.”

LOL!  Suddenly, a Lefturd who practices Solipsism—“I pray to Atman, to the self. The Atman is self”.—is pulling out the American History/Constitution Card.   The cognitive dissonance is deafening.

Uh…  Just a quick question for Russell Simmons:  Hey, Russell, where were you when you and your ilk were calling for Glenn Beck’s sponsors to drop him?  Do I detect a note of hypocrisy here?   Yeah, I thought so.

It has taken awhile but I have come to the realization that the Bugs Bunny cartoons we grew up with had more intellect than any of these real live dummies we hear from today. Bugs would have had a field day with this crowd. In this day and age I would like to ask these lefturds to ask themselves, are you smarter than a cartoon rabbit?

  2. Gonzo Says:

    Good grief.

Of course, if this were an event about Christians only, the whiners would be getting all upset about that too.

For a true picture of muslim whinnyness, one only needs to Google with the words “muslims outraged over” and the true depth of whinnyness will be revealed.

But then it is absolutely understandable. One only defends their position so animatedly when deep down one does not sincerely believe in it. I guess deep down, many muzzies don’t believe that p.mo.’s “prophethood” can stand on its own under close scrutiny.

Simmons appears to be attempting to rally bitter clingers through soaring scatological rhetoric. Too late Russell that has already happened to many of us.

We’ll give some airtime to the muslims and the freaks but we won’t take the Tea party!

      Principles, principals, what’s the diff.

This is a tough call because hardware stores carry a lot of stuff that muslims want and stuff that non muslims need when muslims are around. I’m sure Simmons is strongly behind Washington’s request that Lowes report Americans who spend too much time at the hardware store. With guys like Russell around we can easily see a need for the creation of the HSSA, the hardware store security administration.

To a man, islam is the new civil rights issue for lefturds,
    All American Idiots.

I support Lowes 100%, in their decision! They have strong American *principles*!

  5. Patricia Ward Says:

Lowe’s thanks for pulling your ads from that muslim propaganda tv show. As far as the people who are threatening to boycott your store, screw them. You have a right to have your ads when you want them. I wouldn’t want to support that muslim propaganda show either. I know I will never watch it.

  6. John McDougal Says:

I love it. Lowes has some values and is condemned for showing them. It’s a free country they can advertise with whoever they like or not advertise in this case. Rock on Lowes.

  7. Gonzo Says:

I believe I heard that muslim(s) on the show made racist remarks about whites and Catholics. If true, then the show should be pulled completely, following suit with other programs and TV personalities who are canned over such offenses.

Second, do you notice that shirt Russell is wearing in the pic? The original ‘Coexist’ icon included other religions as well. So why is he choosing to wear a shirt that discriminates against Buddhists and Taoists? Is it because muslims dont even recognize any other forms of religion but the top three?

Here, this site should help others make sense of the icon:

Hey, muzzies aren’t their customer base. I’m a contractor, so I’m in building supply establishments a lot. Nary a raghead or burqua to be seen…

  9. Gandalf Says:

Wow! Usually, I cannot put the word “bigot” and “stupid” in one sentence. But this blog make me easy to do that!

    • PB-in-AL Says:

OK, Gandalf, where’s your sentence? The second one seems to have some syntactical issues, so you’re either a non-native english speaker, or an idiot.

Let’s have that pithy, wisdom filled sentence you so enthusiastically promise.

Aside from that, no actual and specific issues or refutation of either the article or the commentary coming from you? Ad hominem comments are easy, reasoned argument, not so much.

    • tgusa Says:

So you support a bigoted sexist discriminatory and violent ideology yet we are the bigots? HoHoHo. Why do you hate women and non muslims so much Gandalf?

    • Gonzo Says:

Such conjecture and yet whimsical attempt at belittlement, Gandalf. Shall I presume by your remark that you are muslim, or at the least an islamic apologist? Let’s make that assumption, shall we?

OK, so Gandalf, you seem to have issue with the presentation of opinions regarding islam – fair enough. You also imply, by virtue of your dispraise, that for individuals to hold and express opinion in contradiction of your own, renders such individuals devoid of intellectual capacity. I’m willing to walk down that path for just a moment. Bigotry, being the holding of ones own opinion while often harboring intolerance toward others, can in fact contain a certain level of closed-mindedness.

I’ve studied all of the world’s mentionable religions, and in the course of that study, have discovered that the greatest source of bigoted spiritual text, is the koran. I’ve also discovered that the most bigoted religious adherents tend to be muslim leaders.

As proof to this logical conclusion, I offer you the many well documented texts and actions by the islamic world toward the hatred of Jews, the intolerance toward other faiths to the point of driving those of other religions from their homes, and even forced conversion of young girls through rape and sham muslim marriages. So, by your own assertion, I guess that makes islam the most bigoted, and thus stupid, theo-political system in the world.

      • Gandalf is from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

        Their flag:

Their opposition to Christians practicing the Great Commission from Jesus Christ:

Their call for boycotting American products over Israel’s actions:

        ‘Nuff said.

        • Gonzo Says:

          Wow Bulldog.
An entire country having a Constitution based on its theocratic political system, that criminalizes freewill and freedom of belief? WOW, talk about the pinnacle level of bigotry. So muslims and islam actually believes that it is the only way, and holds utter contempt for anyone else. SHOCKING!!

          • tgusa Says:

We have to admit that the bigotry is shocking, but there’s plenty of stupidity to go along with it too.

BTW, you were much to kind giving him four paragraphs. 🙂

  10. Gonzo Says:

Kayak.com follows suit and removes ads, but claims it is not based on the premises voiced in email pressures by the conservative activist group.

Birgem the CMS, states that the show is not what he was lead to believe that it would be, and adds: “Mostly, I just thought the show sucked.”

I wonder if people know that a muslima wearing blue jeans in many islamic countries would be inviting rape.
