Obama Says He Will Fight to Repeal the Defense Of Marriage Act if Reelected

The Lame Stream Media is trying to slip this one in under the radar by throwing it into the mix almost as an afterthought.  Therefore, I though I would highlight it for you so that you can show all your friends:

Obama’s “DOGMA”

Obama calls for marriage equality, says ‘I want everyone treated fairly’
By Ashley Killough, CNN – Mon May 14, 2012

(Communist News Network) — President Barack Obama touched on his recent announcement of support for same-sex marriage, saying at a New York City fundraising event Monday that he believes marriage equality “strengthens families.”

“I want everyone treated fairly in this country. We have never gone wrong when we’ve extended rights and responsibilities to everybody,” he said, drawing big applause. “That doesn’t weaken families, that strengthens families.”

Obama highlighted some of his administration’s work in recent years, including the passage of health care reform and the end of combat in Iraq.

He also outlined goals he hopes to accomplish under a second term, including the repeal of the Defense Of Marriage Act, which the administration has already stopped defending.

While he did not mention Republican rival Mitt Romney by name, he drew a sharp line of contrast between his own ideology and that of Republicans, promoting a theme of “togetherness.”

Huh?!?  The mind reels with the utter inconceivability and sheer lunacy contained within that sentence!

So he wants gays to be treated ‘fair’ despite the fact thier lifestyles are killing them.

    Whatta waste…

The GOP needs to meet some where in the middle with this. Gays have been with us since the beginning of mankind. They are found on every continent and have been part of every civilization. As much as the GOP wish, the gay community isn’t just going to move to Canada tomorrow. If they truly want to define marriage as a man and a woman, they need to make a concession to allow Civil Unions.

If the GOP can’t allow Civil Unions, it’s clearly a bigotry and possibly a civil rights issue because the sanctity of marriage has been protected.
If the gays can’t accept Civil Unions, the argument of them wanting the same legal protections of marriage is shown as a farce on their part.

I would not put it past obummer and the democrats to push for gay marriage (after they have repealed the defense of marriage act) and ignore Civil Unions. I can see it now, a gay couple go to a church and tell the priest (or minister) they want to be married. The priest (or minister) tells the gay couple that because of the churches religious doctrine he can not marry them. The gay couple go to the ACLU and sue the church, the justice department joins in claiming the gay couples civil rights have been violated. Another attack by the libertard left on religion in the US and this one could have serious consequences if upheld by the courts.

Just an observation, The ACLU (Anti_Christian Legal Union) would never have the balls enough to sue a Mosque for not marring a ‘gay’ couple who are ‘followers of the teachings of the prophet’.
