Mormon Suspended From Florida Atlantic University for Refusing to Stomp on the Name of Jesus

Well…  We all know why this supposed “professor” didn’t have his students stomp on Muhammad’s name.

He’s afraid of Muslims, but not Christians.

Must be an Islamophobe:

Ryan Rotela, a junior at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), is waging a bizarre allegation against his professor, Dr. Deandre Poole.

The student is claiming that he’s been suspended from his intercultural communications class for refusing to write “JESUS” on a sheet of paper, throw it on the floor and then stomp on it — a request that the instructor apparently made.

If you’re already scratching your head, you’re not alone. The curious claim caught the attention of WPEC-TV, a South Florida CBS affiliate.

Rotela, a devout Mormon, says he refused to participate in the purported activity and told Poole that he found the request offensive.

“Anytime you stomp on something it shows that you believe that something has no value. So if you were to stomp on the word Jesus, it says that the word has no value,” Rotela told WPEC-TV.

But the situation purportedly became even more contentious a few days after the alleged paper incident occurred. After Rotela went to his professor’s supervisor to complain, he claims he was suspended from the class.

According to WPEC, here’s how the school responded to an inquiry about the situation:

“Faculty and students at academic institutions pursue knowledge and engage in open discourse. While at times the topics discussed may be sensitive, a university environment is a venue for such dialogue and debate.”

What a pusillanimous crap-weasel response…

  1. Theres more questions than answers with this story.

Why would ‘Deandre J. Poole’ bother to make his students to step or stomp on a piece of paper with the name of Jesus on it?

What was the lesson that was being taught by him in that class?

Maybe his bio could offer a clue…

“Deandre Poole teaches courses in intercultural communication, ethnicity and communication, leadership and communication, and organizational communication. His research focuses on the role mediated messages play in shaping individual attitudes and beliefs concerning issues of justice and inequality, and examines how leaders, organizations, and other influential authorities dominate and oppress marginalized groups of people. Currently, he is authoring the book, Obamamania: The Rise of a Mythical Hero, to be published by the Edwin Mellen Press. In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Poole is actively engaged in various community service projects throughout Palm Beach County.”

Hmmm so he did exactly what he opposes… How quaint…

People pay money for this? A lot of places today that call themselves colleges are not really schools they are places that have been set up to provide an environment where anti Americans can collect a paycheck while doing things that are considered illegal to do anywhere else. These places are sort of like prisons that they charge you to get in to. I have almost no respect for what has become of the American college system and I’m suspicious of everyone who may have been contaminated by the experience of attending one of them.

FAU appears to have quite a history of supporting turban bombers. Not too long ago they were getting quite a lot of coverage but that seems to have quietly and abruptly stopped. They probably feel its safe to come back out of the closet now but I would imagine that the FBI is swarming all over that place. South Florida seems to be a favorite destination of these types. Who’s their rep? I feel that if there is one place where muslims don’t fit in its Florida, beaches, bikinis and pulled pork sammiches, no way.

Deandre Poole, it sounds like a female’s name but it is indeed a male. Deandre could be easily mistaken for the 20th hijacker, easily. Apologies are insufficient, disciplinary action is a waste of time, these places need to be sued out of existence using the rules that have been put in place by the left. The left is a goldmine of legal opportunity just waiting for someone to to start picking them apart.

IMHO most of our so called institutions of higher learning are nothing more than commie factories staffed by out of touch America hating Marxist, Leninist ,and Maoist sympathizers, filling the minds of our youth with useless Socialist/Communist propaganda.

Isn’t that the truth. Most of these “professors” are 60″s hippies who could not get a job in anything BUT education and now we must suffer with those they have indoctrinated.

Christians finally do what Christ taught on the Temple Mount, REBEL INTELLIGENTLY !!! Here is plan of attack for this text book, find the schools that are using it, instruct the Christian student on how to react. They should work as a team, and when instructed to write “Jesus”, instead write “Allah, Koran, Mohammed, Ahmadinejad” put the paper down quickly and stomp on it to HILT then pick it up, showing it to the students FIRST rotating around until the professor sees it LAST. At that point class will be adjourned and the Professor run away and hide because he fear reprisals from Islam and that will be the LAST TIME HE DOES THAT LESSON!

In order to get the full effect of a tribal stomping its best to wear a bone in your nose while you do it.

Man I’m Gob Smacked, I’m not religious but this lad is like so many other’s Why would the Teacher “Professor” even do this ? “just a question was the Professor a Muslim” anyway can you Imagen if a Teacher/Professor said Right Mohammed or Allah there would be a national out cry from the Islamic’s not only all the do gooder’s saying oh this is terrible how offensive then the School would more likely expel the Professor/Teacher for being so hate filled and anti Islamic.

  6. tgusa Says:

Of course every situation is different, the individual players, the location, the atmosphere and whatnot. In the case of this guy and before we decide to just go stomping around on more pieces of paper I would suggest that a proper response would be something like, and would you be wanting me to set a cross on fire afterwards?

I’m a racist, I don’t believe it is fair to hold black men to the same standard as their less pigmented counterparts!
