Russian Police Cracking Down on… Toys!

27 January, 2012

Like I’ve said numerous times before:  Putin is evil!

And, with a commie like O’bommie in office, America isn’t that far behind Russia in shutting down free speech:

- Near as I can loosely translate, it says, "President - Do Not Confuse the Interests of the People with Your Own Interest!!!"

Doll ‘protesters’ present small problem for Russian police
Police in Siberian city ask prosecutors to investigate legality of protest involving display of toy figures holding miniature placards
– Miriam Elder in Moscow –

Russian police don’t take kindly to opposition protesters – even if they’re 5cm high and made of plastic.

Police in the Siberian city of Barnaul have asked prosecutors to investigate the legality of a recent protest that saw dozens of small dolls – teddy bears, Lego men, South Park figurines – arranged to mimic a protest, complete with signs reading: “I’m for clean elections” and “A thief should sit in jail, not in the Kremlin”.

“Political opposition forces are using new technologies to carry out public events – using toys with placards at mini-protests,” Andrei Mulintsev, the city’s deputy police chief, said at a press conference this week, according to local media. “In our opinion, this is still an unsanctioned public event.”

Activists set up the display after authorities repeatedly rejected their request to hold a sanctioned demonstration of the kind held in Moscow to protest disputed parliamentary elections results and Vladimir Putin’s expected return to the presidency in a March vote.

Passersby admired the display with giggles, but police took it more seriously, examining its details and writing down each placard.

“The authorities’ attempt to limit citizens’ rights to express their position has become absurd,” said Lyudmila Alexandrova, a 26-year-old graduate student and protest organiser. “We wanted to hyperbolise this attempt and show the absurdity and farce of officials’ struggle with their own people.”

Vladimir “Lilly” Putin Booed at Mixed Martial Arts Event

Seems Michelle Obama isn’t the only commie elitist to get booed by the Lilliputians this past weekend:

Parents of Murderous Muslims Ashamed

17 February, 2011

When you look at the waste that is islam, it is measured in blood. As the minions squander their youth by encouraging violence instead of working to better themselves and their people, you wind up with elderly parents with no hope, no one to care for them and lots of grief.

By the time the parents realize the lies built into islam, their children are dead and they are alone, abandoned by the evil cult. Islam eats its own.

17 February 2011, the Moscow Times
ALI-YURT, Ingushetia — Speaking softly through tears in her family’s tiny home in the North Caucasus, Roza Yevloyeva apologized for her son’s suicide bomb attack on Russia’s busiest airport 3 1/2 weeks ago.
-A little late Bi-otch

Magomed Yevloyev, 20, detonated explosives strapped to his body at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport on Jan. 24, killing 36 people. Analysts say the attack was proof the Kremlin has failed to quell a bubbling Islamist insurgency along its south.
-That figures blame the victim a not the terrorists.

“We commiserate, and we extend a very big apology to the whole world,” Yevloyeva told Reuters on Wednesday in her first interview with foreign press in the town of Ali-Yurt in Ingushetia.

“We are so ashamed, so bitterly sad. We really worry for all the people who died, who he wounded,” the 54-year-old school teacher and mother of four said between muffled sobs as she perched on her dead son’s wooden bed.
-Someone should remind her that her son is roasting in hell along with the pedophile mohammed. That might cheer her up.

Islamist leader Doku Umarov, who said he ordered the attack, has since threatened a year of “blood and tears” before Russia’s 2012 presidential elections, saying he has dozens of suicide bombers ready to unleash on Russian cities.
-Did you notice that islamist leader dick umarov didn’t send his own kid to die.

Styling himself as the Emir of the Caucasus, Umarov wants to create a separate state with sharia Islamic law across the Muslim republics of the North Caucasus that he considers to be “occupied” territory.
-The correct term is “infested” the place is crawling with minions.

Surprise: Obama’s Strategic Arms Control Treaty Favors Russia at America’s Expense

22 July, 2010

Okay, so it’s not really all that surprising to any of us who have been paying attention to Obama’s disastrous policies which always seem to be aimed at undermining America’s security and independence:

New START: White House Figures Are Deceptive
By:  Baker Spring – The Heritage Foundation

According to press reports, an undisclosed State Department report on the new strategic arms control treaty with Russia, called New START, reveals that the Obama Administration is not concerned about the implications of Russian cheating under the treaty. Specifically, the State Department report supposedly states that “any Russian cheating under the treaty would have little effect, if any, on the assured second-strike capabilities of U.S. strategic forces.”

New START is now being examined by a variety of Senate committees in advance of a possible future vote in the Senate on consenting to the ratification of the treaty. Up until now, Senate examination has made it appear that the Obama Administration was willing to use New START as a means for accepting a parity relationship with Russia in terms strategic nuclear forces. This development represented a huge concession to Russia because the treaty will force the U.S. to limit its strategic nuclear force in accordance with Russia’s lesser near-term capacity to field such forces.

The State Department’s report makes it clear that the Obama Administration’s real concession to Russia will be far larger. This is because it effectively concedes that the Administration really favors a “minimum deterrence” strategic nuclear force, where a large disparity in the numbers of strategic nuclear warheads in favor of Russia is determined to be insignificant. Under the minimum deterrence policy, the U.S. will give to Russia a many-fold advantage in the numbers of deployed strategic nuclear delivery systems and warheads. This comes at a time where Russia already has such an advantage in the number of non-strategic nuclear weapons.

The outlines of a minimum deterrence posture are described in an April 2009 report issued by the Federation of American Scientists and the Natural Resources Defense Council. According to this report, the numbers of weapons in the U.S. arsenal can safely be reduced to roughly 1,000 by 2020, and later to 500 because the U.S. should radically and unilaterally change its nuclear deterrence doctrine. This recommendation comes despite the fact that New START’s ceiling is 1,550 accountable warheads and Russia plans to maintain in excess of 2,000 real warheads. Apparently, the Obama Administration’s assertions about the kind of strategic nuclear force the U.S. would retain under New START in its Nuclear Posture Review is little more than subterfuge.

Russia: Three Organizers of Metro Bombing Killed by FSB Agents

13 May, 2010

Nothing like swift justice from the Kremlin.

Also, just a quick note in case you didn’t already know:  Before the Berlin Wall came crashing down, the FSB used to be known as the KGB.  So, I’m really not all that surprised that a few of the Metro bombing organizers and planners are now pushing up daisies…

Three Moscow metro bombing ‘organisers’ killed

Three alleged organisers of the March suicide bombings on the Moscow metro have been killed after resisting arrest, Russian officials say.

It was not immediately clear when or where the killings happened. All those involved in the bombings have now been identified, officials said.

Russian leaders previously warned that the masterminds of the attacks, which killed 40 people, would be “destroyed”.

Two young women from Dagestan were identified as carrying out the attacks.

The 29 March bombings targeted two of the Moscow metro’s commuter trains.

The three alleged planners died during “an attempt to detain three members of an illegal group”, said the head of the Federal Security Service (FSB), Alexander Bortnikov.

“To our great regret, we were unable to detain them alive because they put up fierce armed resistance and were killed.”

Child rapist given suspended sentence

4 March, 2010

There is never a reason to hurt a child nor is there ever a reason to forgive those that do.

ST. PETERSBURG, March 3 (RIA Novosti)
A child rapist in Russia’s second city of St. Petersburg on Wednesday received a 6-year suspended sentence for the multiple sexual molestation of a small girl and was immediately released in court.
-With five pounds of salt a small knife and ten minutes I could fix this guy where he could never do it again.

The girl, now 9 years old, was repeatedly raped by a close relative over the course of four years, according to investigators.

“The child rapist is a close relative of the girl and he committed the first sexual act [with her] when she was five years old and continued raping her until she turned nine,” the lawyer representing the girl and her mother, Oxana Khomyakova, said.

During investigations after his arrest in May of last year, the 25-year-old man admitted he had raped the girl at least 13 times; however, in court he denied the allegations. Five of the episodes were proven in court and the pedophile finally admitted to those specific charges.

The lawyer said the sex criminal had received the 6-year suspended sentence and was released in court because he “is married, has a permanent job, and has a positive character reference,” which the court took into consideration and eased his punishment.
-That was the part that really had me steamed; what in the hell difference does it make that he works and what kind of lowlife scum sucking weasel would give a pedophile a positive character? Ok, I know any imam would but besides that. (more…)

Iraqi Terrorists Hack Drones With $26 Russian-Made Software!

17 December, 2009

Just how stupid do you have to be to design a weapon whose video feed can be viewed by the enemy?  Didn’t the developers of the drones ever think of encrypting the video feeds?  Or, were they just too cocky?  Just crazy:

Insurgents Hack U.S. Drones
$26 Software Is Used to Breach Key Weapons in Iraq; Iranian Backing Suspected

WASHINGTON — Militants in Iraq have used $26 off-the-shelf software to intercept live video feeds from U.S. Predator drones, potentially providing them with information they need to evade or monitor U.S. military operations.

Senior defense and intelligence officials said Iranian-backed insurgents intercepted the video feeds by taking advantage of an unprotected communications link in some of the remotely flown planes’ systems. Shiite fighters in Iraq used software programs such as SkyGrabber — available for as little as $25.95 on the Internet — to regularly capture drone video feeds, according to a person familiar with reports on the matter.

U.S. officials say there is no evidence that militants were able to take control of the drones or otherwise interfere with their flights. Still, the intercepts could give America’s enemies battlefield advantages by removing the element of surprise from certain missions and making it easier for insurgents to determine which roads and buildings are under U.S. surveillance.

The drone intercepts mark the emergence of a shadow cyber war within the U.S.-led conflicts overseas. They also point to a potentially serious vulnerability in Washington’s growing network of unmanned drones, which have become the American weapon of choice in both Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The Obama administration has come to rely heavily on the unmanned drones because they allow the U.S. to safely monitor and stalk insurgent targets in areas where sending American troops would be either politically untenable or too risky.

The stolen video feeds also indicate that U.S. adversaries continue to find simple ways of counteracting sophisticated American military technologies.

U.S. military personnel in Iraq discovered the problem late last year when they apprehended a Shiite militant whose laptop contained files of intercepted drone video feeds. In July, the U.S. military found pirated drone video feeds on other militant laptops, leading some officials to conclude that militant groups trained and funded by Iran were regularly intercepting feeds.

In the summer 2009 incident, the military found “days and days and hours and hours of proof” that the feeds were being intercepted and shared with multiple extremist groups, the person said. “It is part of their kit now.”

A senior defense official said that James Clapper, the Pentagon’s intelligence chief, assessed the Iraq intercepts at the direction of Defense Secretary Robert Gates and concluded they represented a shortcoming to the security of the drone network.

“There did appear to be a vulnerability,” the defense official said. “There’s been no harm done to troops or missions compromised as a result of it, but there’s an issue that we can take care of and we’re doing so.”

Senior military and intelligence officials said the U.S. was working to encrypt all of its drone video feeds from Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, but said it wasn’t yet clear if the problem had been completely resolved.

Some of the most detailed evidence of intercepted feeds has been discovered in Iraq, but adversaries have also intercepted drone video feeds in Afghanistan, according to people briefed on the matter. These intercept techniques could be employed in other locations where the U.S. is using pilotless planes, such as Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia, they said.

Train Crash in Russia Caused by Bomb

28 November, 2009

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.  Mrs. Bulldog and I were away visiting relatives and didn’t get back into town until after midnight, last night.  While driving home, we heard a news report on the radio about a train derailment in Russia and both figured it was terrorist related.  Sure enough, this morning, the news reports are saying that it was a bomb that caused the derailment.   As Mrs. Bulldog said last night, “Gee, I wonder which religion of peace is responsible for that…”

Russia train crash ’caused by bomb’

Richard Galpin reports on the causes of the train disaster

A bomb blast caused the Russian train crash in which at least 26 people were killed, intelligence officials say.

The Nevsky Express derailed with nearly 700 on board as it ran through remote countryside between the capital Moscow and the second city, St Petersburg.

Investigators found “elements of an explosive device” at the scene of Friday’s attack, a statement said.

Officials said a second, less powerful device went off on Saturday near the site of the first, but no-one was hurt.

There was no immediate confirmed claim of responsibility for the blast on Friday evening, which hit a train popular with government officials and business executives at peak travel time.

“Criminology experts say, on the basis of preliminary information, that an improvised explosive device, equivalent to 7kg (15 lb) of TNT, had gone off,” said Alexander Bortnikov, head of Russia’s domestic intelligence service.

At least three of the 14 carriages left the tracks as the train reportedly approached speeds up 200 km/h (130mph).

Russia’s prosecutor-general has opened a criminal case on terrorism charges, Russian news agencies say.

If terrorism is confirmed as the cause, observers say the derailment would represent the deadliest attack outside the volatile North Caucasus region for five years.

Putin Rewards Obama’s Kumbaya Maneuvers with a Defiant “Nyet”

14 October, 2009

Can’t say I didn’t warn Mr. Hopey-Changey.

Now that you have fatuously pissed off our allies by taking away the long-range missile shield from the Poles and Czechs in an obvious attempt to entice the Russians into joining the U.S. in sanctions against Iran, and now that you have been given the Russian finger in return,  I have just one question:   How does it feel to be played like a fool, Obama?

Get used to it.

Russia’s Putin warns against intimidating Iran
Wed Oct 14, 2009
By Darya Korsunskaya

BEIJING (Reuters) – Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin warned major powers on Wednesday against intimidating Iran and said talk of sanctions against the Islamic Republic over its nuclear programme was “premature”.

Putin, who many diplomats, analysts, and Russian citizens believe is still Russia’s paramount leader despite stepping down as president last year, was speaking after U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited Moscow for two days of talks.

“There is no need to frighten the Iranians,” Putin told reporters in Beijing after a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.

“We need to look for a compromise. If a compromise is not found, and the discussions end in a fiasco, then we will see.”

“And if now, before making any steps (towards holding talks) we start announcing some sanctions, then we won’t be creating favourable conditions for them (talks) to end positively. This is why it is premature to talk about this now.”

Clinton failed to secure any specific assurances from Russia on Iran during her visit, leaving her open to criticism at home that she had not received anything from Moscow after earlier U.S. concessions on missile defence.

Poles and Czechs Now Hate Obama—Probably Racists, Right?

18 September, 2009

Okay, the only conclusion that I can come to in all of this—that makes any sort of logical sense—is that Obama thinks he can placate the Russians and get them to agree to sanctions against Iran.  However, this is just foolishness on the part of Obama as he has just disenfranchised our allies and given the Russians something for nothing—a bad deal for America, no matter how you try to spin it:

Poles, Czechs: US missile defense shift a betrayal

By VANESSA GERA, Associated Press Writer – via Yahoo News

WARSAW, Poland – Poles and Czechs voiced deep concern Friday at President Barack Obama’s decision to scrap a Bush-era missile defense shield planned for their countries.

“Betrayal! The U.S. sold us to Russia and stabbed us in the back,” the Polish tabloid Fakt declared on its front page.

Polish President Lech Kaczynski said he was concerned that Obama’s new strategy leaves Poland in a dangerous “gray zone” between Western Europe and the old Soviet sphere.

Recent events in the region have rattled nerves throughout central and eastern Europe, a region controlled by Moscow during the Cold War, including the war last summer between Russia and Georgia and ongoing efforts by Russia to regain influence in Ukraine. A Russian cutoff of gas to Ukraine last winter left many Europeans without heat.

The Bush administration’s plan would have been “a major step in preventing various disturbing trends in our region of the world,” Kaczynski said in a guest editorial in the daily Fakt and also carried on his presidential Web site.

An editorial in Hospodarske Novine, a respected pro-business Czech newspaper, said: “an ally we rely on has betrayed us, and exchanged us for its own, better relations with Russia, of which we are rightly afraid.”
