Anger at LA police plan to ‘map’ Muslims

The easy way to tell a radical Muslim is to time how quickly they scream “racism”. Islam is not a race and the racism card is a cheep stall tactic. If Islam had anything, substantial to offer anyone it would not need these tired excuses.

Dialogue between cultures has historically ended suspicions and fostered friendships. Islam can not stand under scrutiny so they resort to playing the victim, whining, violence, fear, intimidation and other types of theatrics.

Well pedophile worshipers we are onto you and so it seems is the LAPD.

Map your own communities, sites like islamicfinder.org will quickly allow you to find the Muslims in your area. I encourage you to use it, find their businesses and boycott them.

LOS ANGELES (AFP) – A plan by the Los Angeles Police Department’s counter-terrorism bureau to map Muslim groups in the city has angered civil rights activists and community leaders, it was reported Friday.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the LAPD wants to create a map of Muslim groups in order to help communities avoid the influence of radicals seeking to incite “violent, ideologically-based extremism.”
“We are seeking to identify at-risk communities,” LAPD deputy chief Michael Downing told the Times. “We are looking for communities and enclaves based on risk factors that are likely to become isolated.

“We want to know where the Pakistanis, Iranians and Chechens are so we can reach out to those communities.”

The Times quoted Downing as saying that the Muslim Public Affairs Council had indicated support for the program “in concept.”

The group’s executive director Salam Al-Marayati told the newspaper it wanted to meet with the LAPD next week to discuss the issue.

“We will work with the LAPD and give them input, while at the same time making sure that people’s civil liberties are protected,” said Al-Marayati, commending Downing’s “forthright engagement with the Muslim community.”

However the plan was condemned by other Muslim groups, with the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California accusing the LAPD of “racial profiling.”

“We certainly reject this idea completely,” the council’s executive-director Shakeel Syed told the Times. “This stems basically from this presumption that there is homogenized Muslim terrorism that exists among us.”

The Los Angeles branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations also criticized the plan. Council official Hussam Ayloush said mapping “basically turns the LAPD officers into religious political analysts, while their role is to fight crime and enforce the laws.”

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and community groups have a letter to the LAPD expressing “grave concerns” about the program, reports said.

“The mapping of Muslim communities . . . seems premised on the faulty notion that Muslims are more likely to commit violent acts than people of other faiths,” the Times quoted the letter as saying.

According to reports an estimated 500,000 Muslims live in the Greater Los Angeles area, the country’s second-biggest concentration outside of New York.

Islamania is a race-the master race. At least in their warped minds. That’s why they scream about racism.

Ever notice that when something like this flares up not only CAIR shows up but the ACLU as well? You can’t have one without the other when it comes to irking the Destroyers. They should unite and call themselves CAIRACLU-Crybaby Association of Idiots, Retards, Asses, Cretins, Losers and the Useless.

We have to know where their HQ is at, so we can take it out when they start going ape in the streets with their AK’s.

MPAC Opposes Racial Profiling, Awaits Meeting to Discuss Specifics of LAPD
    November 10, 2007

The Muslim Public Affairs Council today held a press conference following media reports of the Los Angeles Police Department’s announcement of a proposed program to “map” the Southern California Muslim American community.

“Our position has always been and will continue to be that we are against any and all forms of racial profiling,” said MPAC Executive Director Salam Al-Marayati. “MPAC has not endorsed anything because there is nothing to endorse. MPAC’s Board of Directors have not seen an actual proposal, which we would need to do before we make any judgment or pronouncements about LAPD’s plans.”

Any aspect of racial profiling or singling out Muslim Americans for scrutiny in the plan would be a violation of the Department of Justice’s 2003 Guidelines on Racial Profiling, and would drastically undermine any trust between law enforcement and local communities.

Al-Marayati, along with other Muslim leaders in Southern California, will be attending a meeting on Thursday, Nov. 15 called by LAPD Deputy Chief Mike Downing to learn more about the proposal and discuss its merits and implications.

“All the concerns — engagement concerns, civil rights concerns, dialogue concerns — will all be addressed there, and then we will have a clearer idea about what this is all about,” Al-Marayati said. “We are in dialogue and consultation with everyone involved in this issue — which includes civil rights groups, Muslim American organizations and law enforcement — about where to proceed with the dialogue and we will go to the meeting in that spirit of dialogue.”

A centerpiece of MPAC’s ongoing policy approach is engagement with government, civil rights groups, media outlets, and interfaith groups through consistent, honest, and critical exchange. MPAC’s position in terms of engagement with law enforcement is rooted in a shared goal of keeping America safe and free. Within that proposition, Muslim Americans should be treated as partners not as suspects.

A striking model in this type of engagement is the Muslim American Homeland Security Congress (MAHSC) founded by Sheriff Lee Baca and MPAC Senior Adviser Dr. Maher Hathout. The MAHSC board of directors includes representatives from nearly a dozen diverse Muslim groups in Southern California, who meet regularly to engage in an open exchange of ideas. This is the kind of engagement that MPAC will continue to support and believes is crucial to accomplish two equally important goals: supporting the integration of Muslims into society, and enhancing understanding of government and law enforcement about our communities.

“If there is any proposal that singles out the Muslim community to be studied as a specimen, we are against that,” Hathout said today. “We stand hand-in-hand with the community and the Muslim organizations and the civil rights groups in resenting any notion of profiling. The only way to alleviate these anxieties is with the truth. We look forward to the meeting as an opportunity to speak directly with LAPD and other Muslim organizations on these issues.”

Chief Downing testified Oct. 30 before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security about the value of community engagement.

“For the 18 months, we have been involved in outreach and grassroots dialogue with Muslim communities, bringing the entire command staff to observe, learn, engage and, most importantly, listen,” Downing said. “This has helped to build more robust trust networks at the divisional level of police service. One of our goals is to be viewed as trusted friends by Muslim communities in our city.”

In his testimony, Downing also said his bureau wanted to “take a deeper look at the history, demographics, language, culture, ethnic breakdown, socioeconomic status and social interactions” of the city’s Muslim communities. The project would collect information about specific neighborhoods but not individuals, according to Downing.

“Muslim Americans don’t live in isolated neighborhoods, they are dispersed, well integrated and political diverse,” Al-Marayati said. “In terms of know where they live, it’s impossible to achieve. They are highly integrated and we want to keep it that way. It’s not realistic to think that they are going to find out where all the Muslims live.”

  6. Ronin Says:

    Zabie,
The people who fear scrutiny the most are those with something to hide. I don’t think the LAPD ever planned to “map” every Muslims just large groups or enclaves of them.

We have seen no effort from Muslim comminutes leadership to identify the radicals and their recruiters hiding inside of their own communities. If they were unwilling or unable to act then common sense would dictate that someone will be forced to do it for them.

The LAPD has the responsibility to protect all citizens inside of their area of concern. Identifying Muslim comminutes under threat from radical Muslims is no different than the gathering of intelligence on areas with large amounts of gang activity.

I would think Muslim leadership would jump at a chance to root out the more violent and radical Muslims. The children the radicals will recruit for jihad will be theirs and history has proved most never return.

Taking about taken action and actually doing it are two different things. American Muslim leadership has failed. Remove them and get people capable of taking some real action to protect American Muslims.

Take action or support the LAPD, talk is cheep.

  7. Ronin Says:

I am so glad to see The Muslim Public Affairs Council has publicly stated their desire to work toward human rights inside the Muslim community. I expect them to help protect Muslims by identifying and demanding legal actions against all Muslims that:

Use force against their wives and children.

Perform a sexual act on anyone under the age of consent

    Have multiple wives

Violate immigration laws or the terms of their visas.

    Teach racial superiority

    Teach intolerance of non-Muslims

Give funds to any Islamic charity known to support terrorism

    That’s enough for now.

As I have said before talk is cheep.
