An Afghan diplomat was charged Friday with beating his wife “like a dog” for more than 15 hours in their Queens home, prosecutors said.

Mohammed Fagirad, 30, a vice consul at the Afghanistan Consulate, brutalized his wife inside their Flushing home from about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday until nearly midnight, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

During the attack, Fagirad bit, slapped, choked and beat the 22-year-old woman with a belt, pushed her down a flight of stairs and sat on her chest, prosecutors said.

At one point, prosecutors said, Fagirad threw his wife up against a wall, held her there by the neck and then let her drop to the floor, where he beat her with a belt.

Fagirad told police his “wife was a dog and he was going to treat her like a dog,” prosecutors said.

When Fagirad left the home, his wife fled and went to the 109th Precinct stationhouse, where she filed a domestic violence report, prosecutors said. She then returned home.

When Fagirad returned, he demanded his wife’s cell phone and called police to file a counterclaim, prosecutors said.

The woman, who was not named, was hospitalized for bruises and scratches to her neck and back.

Prosecutors said Fagirad’s limited diplomatic immunity only covers work-related infractions.

He was awaiting arraignment last night in Queens Criminal Court.

CA: Armed Robber Shot Dead in Gunfight with Coin-Shop Owner

14 February, 2009

Bringing you the news the Libtard anti-gun MSM doesn’t want you to hear:

I found it quite humorous that the reporter had to explain that California state law “allows people to use deadly force to protect themselves.”  What an odd statement.  The use of deadly force to protect oneself is a basic human right.  Even Jesus Christ believed in using deadly force to protect your home and family.  What?  Don’t believe me?  Consider the following:

Luke 11:21 –   “When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe.”

And,

Luke 22:36 –  ” He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.”

Just what do you think his disciples needed a sword for?  It certainly wasn’t just for the fashion statement…

Unfortunately, with all the Libtard anti-gun laws out there, citizens are forced to tip-toe through a myriad of federal, state, and local laws just to exercise this most basic of basic human rights.

NORTH PARK — When a coin-shop owner and an employee found themselves looking down the barrel of a robber’s gun yesterday, they fought back with weapons of their own.

The midmorning shootout in the tiny shop on El Cajon Boulevard left the armed robber dead and his uninjured accomplice on the run, police said.

Authorities said Michael Anthony Watkins Jr., 26, of San Diego collapsed on the sidewalk from gunshot wounds to his leg and lower back and died shortly afterward at a hospital.

San Diego police homicide Lt. Terry McManus said that two men went into the Old Coin Shop, near Arizona Street, about 9:15 a.m. and that Watkins confronted the two employees with a gun.

Someone from the business called 911, and officers began heading their way.

Meanwhile, the owner and employee grabbed their weapons, resulting in an exchange of gunfire. Police said it was unclear whether all three fired their guns and how many shots were fired.

Investigators did not release the names of the owner and employee, who were questioned and released. State law allows people to use deadly force to protect themselves.

Officers found Watkins on the pavement near the front door of the shop. McManus said Watkins’ accomplice had moved him outside before fleeing with the gun.

Witnesses said the second robber was seen heading south on Arizona Street, McManus said.

Something to keep an eye on.

Note to potential terrorists:  Please, continue to advertise yourselves by posting Islamic propaganda and that illegitimate palestinian flag on the side of your van.  Yup, that’s just pure genius!

By Daily Mail Reporter
14th February 2009

Nine men were arrested in a counter-terrorism operation after being stopped on a motorway by anti-terror police.

The men were travelling on the M65, near Preston, Lancashire when they were arrested last night in a joint operation by Lancashire Constabulary and the North West Counter Terrorism Unit.

Six of the men were later released without charge, while three men, aged 26, 29 and 36, remained in custody today.

It was understood that the operation was connected to a potential threat of terrorism overseas.

Specialist officers conducting a counter-terrorism operation were searching five houses today believed to be linked to the arrests.

Lancashire police said officers with local knowledge were being deployed in the areas where the searches were taking place, in Burnley, Lancashire, and nearby residents would be receiving a letter containing information.

The Cult of Personality

The story is that this photo was taken at a Border’s Bookstore in Dallas, Tx.   Supposedly, it was not Photoshopped.  So, that makes me wonder if Border’s has an employee working for them who either has a great sense of dry humor, or else is just another sick, twisted Obamite…

Florida: Good Samaritans Foil Robbery

Yet another reason to carry a concealed weapon:

Deputies: 2 good Samaritans foil robbery in Pompano Beach

By Joel Marino | South Florida Sun-Sentinel

POMPANO BEACH – Two good Samaritans — including one with a concealed weapons permit — helped foil a would-be robber’s heist Friday, then held the suspect at gunpoint until deputies arrived, authorities said.

Officials say Fabrizzio Aragon Sandoval, 21, of Miami, staked out a business in the 3000 block of the Andrews Avenue Extension, waiting in his four-door Jeep for Walib Hamed Hamad, 48, of Boca Raton.

As soon as Hamad left that business’ parking lot, Sandoval drove up to Hamad’s vehicle and cut him off at a stop sign, officials said. He pointed a gun at Hamad and demanded cash.

But in his rush to pull off the heist, authorities say Sandoval forgot to put the Jeep in park — it rolled into two cars. It caught the attention of employees and customers at I C Realtime Security Solutions, a security equipment business.

Frank Fishman, the business’ vice president of sales, and one of the store’s customers, Everol Moulton, 37, of Miami Gardens, rushed to Hamad’s aid, but not before Moulton grabbed a handgun from his car.

The two chased Sandoval then held him until deputies arrived.
