“Torture” Prevented Attack on Los Angeles!

22 April, 2009

I have a confession: I was tortured by the U.S. government.

Yup, those of us who went through POW training while in the military were tortured! In fact, from what I have read of the “torture” techniques used on terrorists, we were tortured even more harshly than they were! But, where is the outrage? Why has Obama not released memos detailing our harsh treatment at the hands of our U.S. captors? I’ll tell you why. Because, we aren’t low life scum hell bent on destroying the United States. You see, Obama wants to destroy America. Those with the same goals as his are his ideological buddies, or “teammates,” if you will. One thing you quickly learn when playing any team sport is that you stick up for one another—all for one, one for all:

ksmCIA Waterboarding Produced Intel That Stopped Attack on Los Angeles
Wednesday, April 22, 2009
By Terence P. Jeffrey – CNSNews

“Soon, you will know.”

That is the ominous statement an uncooperative Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM), mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, told his Central Intelligence Agency interrogators when they initially asked him, after he had been captured, about additional planned al-Qaida attacks on the United States.

In March 2003, KSM became the third and final terrorist ever waterboarded by the CIA. The other two were Abu Zubaydah and Rahim Al-Nashiri.

[For information gleaned from these low life pieces of filth, CLICK HERE]

So few were waterboarded because the CIA was so strict in the criteria for deciding when the technique could be used.

As CIA Acting General Counsel John A. Rizzo explained in a 2004 letter to then-Acting Assistant Attorney General Daniel Levin of the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel, the CIA would only resort to waterboarding a top al-Qaida leader when the agency had “credible intelligence that a terrorist attack is imminent,” “substantial and credible indicators that the subject has actionable intelligence that can prevent, disrupt or deny this attack” and “(o)ther interrogation methods have failed to elicit the information within the perceived time limit for preventing the attack.”

Rizzo’s letter, as quoted here, was cited in a May 30, 2005, memo to Rizzo from then-Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Steven G. Bradbury, also of the Office of Legal Counsel.

On Tuesday, the CIA confirmed to me that it stands by assertions credited to the agency in this 2005 memo that subjecting KSM to “enhanced techniques” of interrogation—including waterboarding—caused him to reveal information that allowed the U.S. government to stop a planned 9/11-style attack on Los Angeles.

The previously classified memo was released by President Obama last week.

Before they were waterboarded, both KSM and Abu Zubaydah did not believe Americans had the will to stop al-Qaida, the 2005 Justice Department memo says, citing information from the CIA.

“Both KSM and Zubaydah had ‘expressed their belief that the general U.S. population was ‘weak,’ lacked resilience and would be unable to ‘do what was necessary’ to prevent the terrorists from succeeding in their goals,’” said the memo. “Indeed, before the CIA used enhanced techniques in its interrogation of KSM, KSM resisted giving any answers to questions about future attacks, simply noting, ‘Soon, you will know.’”

After he was waterboarded, KSM provided the CIA with information that allowed the U.S. government to close down a terror cell already “tasked” with flying a jet into a building in Los Angeles.

Pizza Delivery Man Shoots BB Gun Wielding Robber

21 April, 2009

I guess the perp, Kevin Martin, learned the hard way that you don’t want to bring a BB gun to a real gunfight.  The punk got what he deserved.

Also, investigators speculate that this was not Martin’s first robbery. Less than 24 hours before this incident, a similar robbery happened just a few streets over from where Martin lives.

No charges against pizza delivery man who shot would-be bandit

Staff Reports – Chronicle.Augusta.com

[Augusta, Georgia] – Police said a pizza delivery man will not be charged after he shot a man who tried to rob him Sunday night.

According to Richmond County sheriff’s investigators, Tavarius Lewis, 32, a Papa John’s pizza delivery man, had a license to carry his Smith & Wesson .40-caliber handgun. He made a delivery to what turned out to be a vacant residence on Dent Street, police said.

According to a Richmond County Sheriff’s report, 18-year-old Kevin Martin, of Reese Avenue in Augusta, pointed what turned out to be a BB gun at the delivery man and demanded money.

Mr. Lewis pulled his own gun and shot Mr. Martin several times in the stomach.

Mr. Martin was taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital where he is in serious but stable condition, according to Sheriff’s Sgt. Calvin Chew.

And, Yet Another Government Attack on Free Speech

Senate Proposal Could Put Heavy Restrictions on Internet Freedoms

A proposed bill that would give the president widespread power to shut down the Internet in the event of a cyberattack could have sweeping implications on civil liberties.
FoxNews.com

The days of an open, largely unregulated Internet may soon come to an end.

A bill making its way through Congress proposes to give the U.S. government authority over all networks considered part of the nation’s critical infrastructure. Under the proposed Cybersecurity Act of 2009, the president would have the authority to shut down Internet traffic to protect national security.

The government also would have access to digital data from a vast array of industries including banking, telecommunications and energy. A second bill, meanwhile, would create a national cybersecurity adviser — commonly referred to as the cybersecurity czar — within the White House to coordinate strategy with a wide range of federal agencies involved.

[…]

[T]he proposal to give the U.S. government the authority to regulate the Internet is sounding alarms among critics who say it’s another case of big government getting bigger and more intrusive.

Silicon Valley executives are calling the bill vague and overly intrusive, and they are rebelling at the thought of increased and costly government regulations amid the global economic crisis.

Others are concerned about the potential erosion of civil liberties. “I’m scared of it,” said Lee Tien, an attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a San Francisco-based group.

“It’s really broad, and there are plenty of laws right now designed to prevent the government getting access to that kind of data. It’s the same stuff we’ve been fighting on the warrantless wiretapping.”

Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W. Va, who introduced the bill earlier this month with bipartisan support, is casting the legislation as critical to protecting everything from our water and electricity to banking, traffic lights and electronic health records.

[A Rockefeller, you say?  Where are the Leftard conspiracy theorists when you need them?]

“I know the threats we face.” Rockefeller said in a prepared statement when the legislation was introduced. “Our enemies are real. They are sophisticated, they are determined and they will not rest.”

[Then, invest your time and money in a better firewall, you freakin’ idiot!  But, of course, this isn’t really about protecting the Internet; it is all about a power grab to censor free speech!]

[…]

A spokeswoman from Rockefeller’s office said neither he nor the two senators who co-sponsored the bill, Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, and Bill Nelson, D-Fla., will answer questions on cybersecurity until a later date.

[Olympia Snowe…  Oh, that’s where the “bipartisan” angle supposedly comes in.   Yup, congress, no doubt, will do their best to tout the bipartisanship support this bill supposedly has.  But, remember this:  Olympia Snowe is just another freakin’ commie who is wearing the sheepskin of a Republican;  She is one of only three Republican asshats who voted against the wishes of their constituency for Obama’s socialist trojan horse  Stinkulus package.  So, it’s not really bipartisan support, more like commie’s of a feather flocking together.]

Yet another government attack on free speech.

21 April, 2009

Here we go again, your governments representatives, you know the ones, the lying, cheating non tax paying thieves that occasionally stick up or stink up DC. Now they want to punish you for saying hateful things. If you point out that murdering fags is ok according to islam or the Bible says fags are sinners you are guilty of a hate crime. So do not say such things. Let intolerant people say them for you.

Contact the nearest excuse for a low life POS (insert member of congresses name of your choice) and demand they stop telling you what to think and do the damn job you hired them to do. Please add and only what they are paid to do. Those idiots can really F-things up if unwatched.

Because I am already a “right wing extremist (according to DHS) I also want to be guilty of a hate crime so CONGRESS YOU SUCK!!!! YOU REALLY, REALLY SUCK! How was that? Oh, yeah, vote out the incumbents in 2010. They SUCK! Did that sound extreme?

I found an opinion piece from J. Matt Barber, he is the Director of Cultural Affairs with Liberty Counsel and also serves as Associate Dean with Liberty University School of Law. Enjoy his take on this latest outrage.

Matt Barber, 21 April, 2009, KTKZ
Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) and Rep. Mark Kirk (R-IL) have quietly re-introduced the federal thought crimes bill, H.R. 1913, the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009. As has proved to be true in both Europe and Canada, this Orwellian piece of legislation is the direct precursor to freedom killing and speech chilling “hate speech” laws. It represents a thinly veiled effort to ultimately silence – under penalty of law – morally, medically and biblically based opposition to the homosexual lifestyle. The bill is expected to be marked up Wednesday before the full House Judiciary Committee.

Under the 14th Amendment, victims of violent crime are currently afforded equal protection under the law regardless of sexual preference or proclivity. If passed, H.R. 1913 will change all that. It overtly and, most likely, unconstitutionally discriminates against millions of Americans by granting federally preferred status, time and resources to individuals who define their identity based upon aberrant sexual behaviors (i.e., “gay” and lesbian “sexual orientation” or cross-dressing “gender identity”).

FBI Adds Berkeley ‘Animal Rights Extremist’ to ‘Most Wanted’ Terrorist List

Tuesday, April 21, 2009  – Fox News

An “animal rights extremist” from Berkeley, Calif., was added to the FBI’s “Most Wanted” list of terror suspects, federal agents said Tuesday.

Daniel Andreas San Diego, a 31-year-old computer specialist, has been on the run since 2003 and is wanted in two bombings that year of corporate offices in California, said Michael J. Heimbach, an assistant director of the FBI’s counterrorism division.

“He is a known animal rights extremist,” Heimbach told reporters Tuesday at a Washington, D.C., news conference.

He added that San Diego set an improvised explosive device in the bombings that caused “extensive property damage and economic hardship.”

“The investigation revealed that metal nails were used in the construction of the device to create a more forceful effect,” Heimbach said.

It’s the first time an accused domestic terrorist has been put on the “Most Wanted List,” which includes Usama bin Laden, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, and Adam Yahiye Gadahn, among others. San Diego is the 24th person on the list.

Missouri House Votes to Allow Concealed Weapons on College Campuses

20 April, 2009

Well, I don’t exactly know how, but somehow I missed this story.   Apparently, Missouri has been inspired by Texas and is in the process of sending a bill up to the state Senate that would allow college students and faculty to pack some heat on campus!

So, I may not have to send my daughter away to Texas after all when she gets older…  Go Mizzou!!!

Pistol-packing pupils measure passes House

HCS HB 668

JEFFERSON CITY – Exactly two years after a gunman killed 32 people and himself on the campus of Virginia Tech University, the Missouri House voted to allow concealed weapons on college campuses.

An amendment to a proposed gun bill, which was approved, 105-50, Thursday, would pertain only to gun owners who are properly licensed in the state. The bill can now move to the state Senate for consideration.

Republicans speaking in favor of the concealed carry amendment say college students have a right to defend themselves from violent people who would disregard designated gun-free zones.

“I believe in concealed carry,” said Rep. Denny Hoskins, R-Warrensburg. “If you can carry a gun in other public places, why should an open college campus be any different?”

Gun Control Group Study Proves Nothing

20 April, 2009

Just for fun:

Amy Isackson Apr 20, 2009, KPBS
A Washington DC gun control group says President Barack Obama should ban the import of assault weapons and make public a database that traces guns. Analysts with the Violence Policy Center say doing so would help crackdown on gun smuggling to Mexico. KPBS Reporter Amy Isackson has the story.
-I never register weapons (shhhh) so a database of weapons would not stop me from selling any of my millions of assault rifles to my large group of Mexican friends. Ok, I made up the part about having a large group of Mexican friends but I think you get the point; databases will stop nothing. This report is mostly drivel but I feel like making a few comments anyway.

Violence Policy Center analysts looked at all federal firearms cases tied to Mexican gun traffickers they could find in California and three other states from 2006 to 2009.
-Scary-three whole years and during periods when even the Mexican Government did not seem to care about firearms going north or south.

The cases involved more than 500 guns.
-Gee-at that rate one gun crosses every other day. Now let us compare that number with how many pounds/kilos of drugs cross daily or how many illegals cross daily. Once that is done, we can look up the word “PRIORITY” in our trusty dictionary. (more…)

Woman Executed in Yemen Over Husband’s Murder

20 April, 2009

A firing squad executed Aisha al-Hamzi on Sunday for killing her husband in October 2002 when she discovered that he had been molesting their 8-year-old daughter.  Yup, obviously he was a big fan of the profligate Muhammad.

Anyway, under Sharia Law in Yemen, she could have received a pardon if one of her children had spoken up.  In fact, her daughter had confessed to being sexually abused by her father, according to a preliminary investigation.  But, it is speculated that her daughter later withdrew the statement under pressure from the deceased father’s family.

Human Rights Watch had recently tried to prevent the execution by sending a letter to the President of Yemen saying, “Al-Hamzi’s lack of effective legal defense compromised her ability to present persuasive claims to the court that she killed her husband in self-defense and other mitigating circumstances.”

Wrestling Women vs. the Aztec Mummy

Wrestling Women vs. the Aztec Mummy

Unfortunately, my computer crashed this morning.  Hence, the lack of posts.  I’m currently using my laptop to post this, but it’s slow and cumbersome.  So, please bear with me as I try to get my desktop computer up and running.  Until then, please feel free to use this as an Open Thread and post any interesting links you come across.

UPDATE:  Well, I’ve got the desktop computer somewhat working.   The culprit was the death of my D: drive.  Apparently, the power regulation section on the hard drive’s circuit board fried and was shorting the computer’s 12 volt power supply line to ground.

Mrs. Bulldog is currently grieving the loss of her extensive music collection.  I believe she is currently experiencing the “Anger” stage of the grieving process…

As for me, I’m at the “Bargaining” stage – I know I can get the darn thing working if I can just find a compatible hard drive circuit board to swap it out with…
