It’s never been about global warming
By Klaus Rohrich – CFP

Anyone who believes that the Kyoto Accord and all the subsequent meetings spearheaded by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), is actually about global warming or climate change, would be well advised to submit a wish list to Santa Claus in care of the North Pole.  Chances of having jolly St. Nick deliver what’s on that list are better than the chances of stopping global warming.  That’s because global warming has already stopped with no help from Al Gore and his friends.

In fact, recent scientific discoveries have found the smoking gun of global warming isn’t actually smoking when it was revealed that some of the IPCC’s data were, um, fudged.  The IPCC’s lead scientist, Keith Briffa has attempted to debunk archeological and historic records about the medieval warm period, when Greenland was actually green, using as proof tree core samples taken from Siberia’s Yamal Peninsula.  Only problem is, upon peer review of his 1995 paper, Dr. Briffa was discovered to have cherry-picked the core samples in order to support his assertion that the planet is warming.  There were a total of 252 core samples taken from the trees at Yamal and Briffa used a total of three to support his hypothesis.

Other scientists, also working for the IPCC have arrived at the same conclusion, using the same data, which was finally exposed as having been “cooked” by Canadian mathematician Steve McIntyre, who had written countless letters to the IPCC and its individual climate scientists asking for the raw data that were used to arrive at their conclusions.

Another bit of proof consistently offered by the IPCC that the earth is warming is the so-called “hockey stick” graph that provided proof positive that the planet was undergoing unprecedented warming.  But Steve McIntyre and Ross McKitrick proved that the math used at arriving at the “hockey stick” graph was hokey, at which point the narrative changed to “yes, the math is flawed, but global warming is still a crisis, even if there isn’t a hockey stick.”

And so it goes.  What hasn’t occurred to most who have bought into the global warming hysteria is that it’s never been about global warming or climate change, for that matter.  The whole global warming craze is a massive Ponzi scheme designed to separate wealthy nations from their wealth and pass it over to developing nations without them having to actually go through the process of creating and earning that wealth.  It’s a gigantic global welfare scheme that if it comes to fruition, will equalize the wealth of all nations, making poor nations wealthier.  It will also make wealthy nations poorer.

UNICEF Praises Cuba and Commie Group Who Indoctrinates the Youth

16 October, 2009

And, the commies in Washington can’t figure out why so many parents are swarming to home-school their children:

Cuba-style indoctrination in store for U.S.?
Michael Farris – 10-16-2009 – WND

If Americans want a glimpse of all of the good that can be done for children if our Senate decides to ratify the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), we need look no further than 90 miles off the coast of Florida. For a shining example of the success of internationalism, Cuba is the United Nation’s latest poster child.

In articles released this week by official Cuban news agencies, UNICEF representative José Juan Ortiz praised Cuba for being “able to apply the U.N. Convention on Children’s Rights in a way which is truly a model.”

Cuba? A model in the area of children’s rights? The Communist nation was extolled particularly for advancing the right of children to “self-expression.” UNICEF’s Ortiz commended the Cuban youth group “the José Marti Pioneer Children Organization” for granting children “the possibility of expressing themselves.” This organization even “met in Congress,” Ortiz noted.

The José Marti Pioneer Children Organization is the Cuban version of a long-standing Communist youth organization created to promote communist ideology. While UNICEF believes the group promotes self-expression, an award-winning Cuban blogger – posting on the ultra-liberal website Huffington Post – described her own experience in the group in far different terms.

Blogger Yoani Sanchez described the Pioneer Children’s annual ritual held this year on Oct. 8, 2009. “In all the schools in the country, today is the ceremony for the first-grade students to enroll in the Pioneer organization. The morning assembly lasts longer than usual; the parents accompany their children while they put on the neckerchiefs and shout, for the first time, the slogan, ‘Pioneers for communism, we will be like Che.'”

[Uhm, sorry to break in here and ruin this lovely, romantic image of Che, but I wonder what they mean when they say, “we will be like Che.”  Perhaps they mean the following in which Colonel Rojas was murdered on the orders of Che Guevara without the benefit of a trial:

Murder of Col. Rojas by Che Guevara

Or, do they mean that they want to murder all the homosexuals?  Just curious…]

Observing the ceremony at her son’s school this year, Sanchez recalled her childhood experience as a Cuban first-grader: “I felt touched by the hand of the Fatherland even though in reality I was only being added to the ranks of an ideology.”

The practice of ideological indoctrination continues to this date. Describing the scene in her son’s classroom
in 2009, Sanchez writes, “The teacher walked up and down the ranks and asked the children to repeat the slogan about Che Guevara.”

Sanchez’s son Teo declined to repeat the slogan. When caught by the teacher for non-participation, Teo was asked why he didn’t want to recite the slogan. “Che is dead,” he said, “and I don’t want to be dead.”

“Ah, Teo,” the teacher replied, “repeat the slogan now, why make problems for yourself.”

So much for self-expression – parrot the government slogan or find yourself in trouble.

Given the recent troubling episode of “Obama veneration” in the public schools, one can only imagine what this might foreshadow for America in the future. Case in point: The political organization committed to securing the ratification of the U.N. children’s treaty in the United States, for instance, has prepared a curriculum that fully intends to use children to promote its political goal of adopting the treaty. Child indoctrination appears to be a core value of the internationalist’s creed.

To see what lies in store for the United States, turn to Cuba: less real free expression; nifty government slogans taught to your children.

When that day comes, Americans may mourn the loss of our American traditions of freedom. But look on the bright side – a UNICEF representative will undoubtedly praise us as a model of how to raise children.

Science Czar Advocated Using FCC to Force Private Broadcasters to Spread Eco-Message

White House Science Czar Advocated FCC Forcing Broadcasters to Air Enviro-Population Control Ads
Friday, October 16, 2009
By Christopher Neefus

(CNSNews.com) – John P. Holdren, director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, advocated having the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) force radio and television stations to surrender free time for advertisements calling attention to what he called “the population-resource-environment crisis.”

He cited, as examples of the type of advertising he was talking about, ads produced by Planned Parenthood, the Sierra Club, and Zero Population Growth (ZPG).

Holdren made his argument for using the FCC to advance his vision for population control and environmentalism in the 1977 book, Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment.  Holdren co-wrote the book with renowned population-control advocates Paul R. Ehrlich and Anne H. Ehrlich.

“In the United States a great step could be taken merely by requiring that both radio and television assign some of their commercial time to short public-service ‘spots’ calling attention to the problems of population, resources, and environment,” Holdren, Ehrlich and Ehrlich wrote.

“This could be justified under the equal-time doctrine that put the antismoking message sponsored by the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society on TV (see ‘Advertising’ section),” the authors wrote.

“The FCC might be empowered to require that networks donate time for ads to awaken people to the population-resource-environment crisis,” the authors wrote. “Such spots, sponsored by voluntary organizations like Planned Parenthood, ZPG, and the Sierra Club, have been moderately effective in drawing public attention to the problems. Unfortunately, the advertising budgets available to these groups are puny compared to those of General Motors or Exxon.”

Holdren is President Barack Obama’s top adviser on public policy issues pertaining to science and technology. At the time Ecoscience was published, he was an associate professor of energy and resources at the University of California-Berkeley.

[…]

The White House and the Office of Science and Technology Policy have not responded to requests for comment on Holdren’s statements in Ecoscience about the FCC requiring television and radio stations to air advertisements on “the population-resource-environment crisis.”

The Liberal Faith
By Jack Kelly – Real Clear Politics

Most liberals aren’t very religious. But they are people of faith. When reality clashes with a cherished belief, they cling to the cherished belief.

It snowed in Minnesota over the weekend. In Denver, too. Record cold temperatures were set in Idaho and western Montana.

It was unseasonably cold in Madison, Wisconsin over the weekend, too. But those who attended the annual meeting of the Society of Environmental Journalists didn’t notice.

The keynote speaker was former Vice President Al Gore. Mr. Gore is the world’s most famous advocate of the theory of anthroprogenic (man-made) global warming. In his book, “An Inconvenient Truth,” and his movie of the same name, Mr. Gore warned mankind faces catastrophe if drastic steps aren’t taken immediately to slash our emissions of carbon dioxide.

Mr. Gore predicted the Senate would pass a “cap and trade” bill before a UN conference on climate change in Denmark in December. Most of the 500 journalists who heard him speak applauded.

Mr. Gore is someone only a liberal could regard as an expert on climate change. He took exactly two science courses as an undergraduate at Yale, scoring a D in Natural Sciences 6, and a C in Natural Sciences 118.

[Note:  Al Gore was only the VP, yet we are still  waiting on Obama’s school records…]

Mr. Gore’s paucity of qualifications may be why he refuses to debate scientists who challenge his thesis. And he rarely answers questions after giving one of his alarmist speeches. Mr. Gore did so in Madison, perhaps because he assumed the audience was friendly.

But in the audience was Irish filmmaker Phelim McAleer, who asked him about a 2007 finding by a British judge that “An Inconvenient Truth” is riddled with scientific errors.

Justice Michael Burton had to rule on the veracity of Mr. Gore’s claims because a parent objected to having the film shown in schools. He found nine “significant errors” made in “the context of alarmism and exaggeration.” Screening the film in British secondary schools violated laws barring the promotion of partisan political views in the classroom, Justice Burton said.

When Mr. McAleer asked Mr. Gore what he was doing to correct the errors Justice Burton identified, Mr. Gore, after much stammering, said: “the ruling was in favor of showing the movie in schools.”

That response was technically true, but evasive. Justice Burton said “An Inconvenient Truth” could be shown, but only if Mr. Gore’s “one-sided” views were balanced.

When Mr. McAleer pressed Mr. Gore on his evasion, the Society of Environmental Journalists cut off his microphone and escorted him away.

115 Teenagers Pregnant at High School in Chicago

16 October, 2009

If you want to see what your Libtarded-Commie Kids are going to be doing with their lives, look no further than Obama’s stomping grounds of Chicago:

Why Did 1 Of 8 Girls Get Pregnant At Robeson High?
Officials Say A Mix Of Factors Are To Blame, As They Try To Help The Young Women

CHICAGO (CBS) ― It is a Chicago public school full of energy and spirit. It has about 800 girls, and 115 of them have something in common – something you might find disturbing.

CBS 2’s Kristyn Hartman reports.

All those young ladies are moms or moms-to-be at Paul Robeson High School. It’s not a school for young mothers, it’s a neighborhood school. And all of the pregnancies have happened, despite prevention talk.

[Uhm, you guys all do know that Paul Robeson was a Commie and friend of Frank Marshall Davis who was Obama’s Father figure in Hawaii, don’t you?  Isn’t it interesting how one doesn’t even need to play out the full 6 degrees of separation (with Kevin Bacon) to link Obama with major Communist figures…  The alarm bells should be going off right about now.]

If you want to know why, the people closest to the situation say there’s no simple explanation.

Chicago Public Schools says it does not track the overall number of teen moms in the district. But Robeson Principal Gerald Morrow knows the count at his school in Englewood: 115 young ladies who are either expecting or already have had children.

To put it in perspective, their school pictures would fill roughly six pages of their high school year book.

Why is it happening at Robeson?

“It can be a lot of things that are happening in the home or not happening in the home, if you will,” Morrow said. Absentee fathers are another factor, he said.

[Morrow thinking to himself:  Must not blame the children…. Must…not…mention…the Libtarded Sex Ed class at school….Must….blame….fathers….]

LaDonna Denson and two other Robeson students say parents not talking to teens and, in some cases, the pursuit of public assistance also factor into the pregnancies. None of them thought they’d be moms at such a young age.

[LaDonna Denson thinking to herself: Must…not…take responsibility for myself…  Must…not…mention…the Libtarded Sex Ed class at school….Must….blame….my parents….and, OMG!  I better think of something else!  Well, Sharika says she got pregnant by a guy who works at the Welfare office while pursuing public assistance… Uhm, OMG!  I can’t say that!  I better blame it on greed for free money from Obama…  OMG!  I can’t believe I chipped a nail…  Squirrel! ].

They said they have support at home. But not all girls do, they said. In fact, some girls get thrown out of the home.

Not on Morrow’s turf. “We’re not looking at them like ‘Ooh you made a mistake,'” he said. “We’re looking at how we can get them to the next phase, how can we still get them thinking about graduation?”

[Libtarded  teenage virgin thinking to herself:  Gee, my parents tell me that they’ll throw me out of the house if I have sex and get pregnant, but if it’s not a mistake, what’s so wrong about it?  Well, at least I know I can always count on my best-est buddy and personal confidant, Principal Morrow, to support me if I “choose” to get pregnant.  My parent’s are MEAN.  They suck!  I love Principal Morrow, he’s soooo coool!  He, like, really gets me, man…  I wonder what he’s doing tomorrow night…]

So there’s help in a teen parent program. And coming soon, right across from Robeson, developers are turning a one-time crack house into a day care for student use. “We have to provide some type of environment for them and some form of support for them,” Van Vincent, CEO of VLV Development, said.

[Libtarded teenager thinking to herself:  Yippeee!!!   Free day care for my crack baby!!!  This is cool!  Maybe I’ll have another!]

It’s all made an impression.

“Just cause you have a baby, that doesn’t mean your life is over,” one student said.

One thing they might not know about their principal: His mom had him when she was 15. That’s why accepting the problem — and working through it — is so important to him.

Kenyan-born Obama all set for US Senate

Sunday Standard – 6-27-2004
nh-obama

Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.

The allegations that horrified fellow Republicans and caused his once-promising candidacy to implode in four short days have given Obama a clear lead as Republicans struggled to fetch an alternative.

Ryan’s campaign began to crumble on Monday following the release of embarrassing records from his divorce. In the records, his ex-wife, Boston Public actress Jeri Ryan, said her former husband took her to kinky sex clubs in Paris, New York and New Orleans.

“It’s clear to me that a vigorous debate on the issues most likely could not take place if I remain in the race,” Ryan, 44, said in a statement. “What would take place, rather, is a brutal, scorched-earth campaign – the kind of campaign that has turned off so many voters, the kind of politics I refuse to play.”

Although Ryan disputed the allegations, saying he and his wife went to one ‘avant-garde’ club in Paris and left because they felt uncomfortable, lashed out at the media and said it was “truly outrageous” that the Chicago Tribune got a judge to unseal the records.

The Republican choice will become an instant underdog in the campaign for the seat of retiring Republican Senator Peter Fitzgerald, since Obama held a wide lead even before the scandal broke.

“I feel for him actually,” Obama told a Chicago TV station. “What he’s gone through over the last three days I think is something you wouldn’t wish on anybody.”

The Republican state committee must now choose a replacement for Ryan, who had won in the primaries against seven contenders. Its task is complicated by the fact that Obama holds a comfortable lead in the polls and is widely regarded as a rising Democratic star.

The chairwoman of the Illinois Republican Party, Judy Topinka, said at a news conference, after Ryan withdrew, that Republicans would probably take several weeks to settle on a new candidate.

“Obviously, this is a bad week for our party and our state,” she said.

As recently as Thursday, spokesmen for the Ryan campaign still insisted that Ryan would remain in the race. Ryan had defended himself saying, “There’s no breaking of any laws. There’s no breaking of any marriage laws. There’s no breaking of the Ten Commandments anywhere.”
