An Open Letter to Senator John McCain

Today, I received a letter from Sen. McCain.  Naturally, it was just another form letter designed to scare Republicans out of their hard-earned money:

Barack Obama and the Democrats are falsely claiming a mandate from last year’s election in order to continue to advance their ultra-left agenda of ever-expanding government, massive deficits, and class warfare.

We must act immediately to strengthen and expand our Party for the 2013-2014 election cycle. And we must remain true to our conservative principles so that we can put brakes on the disastrous policies of a second-term Obama administration.

I am determined to do whatever I can to ensure our Party has the resources to win in future elections. That’s why I’ve asked the Republican National Committee if I can write to you today to urge you to support the RNC’s efforts to elect Republicans at all levels in the 2013-2014 elections.

By acting today, you will be reaffirming your personal commitment to stand up for an America where low taxes, free enterprise, limited government, individual responsibility, and a strong military are the building blocks to a prosperous and secure future for our nation and our families.

Barack Obama campaigned on the promise that he would bring our country together, reach beyond partisanship to solve our country’s critical problems.

Instead, President Obama has proven to be one of the most divisive leaders our nation has ever seen.

The bottom line is this: We need your personal commitment today to help ensure that we elect Republicans who will fight for the initiatives and policies that will build a strong America and stop Barack Obama and the Democrats’ misguided policies.

With 38 governorships, 35 Senatorial, 435 Congressional and thousands of offices at stake up-and-down the ballot, we will need to spend tens of millions of dollars on candidate recruitment, opposition research, voter identification and grassroots organizing.

It is often said that “elections have consequences,” and never has that been truer than what we are witnessing now. Barack Obama and the Democrats in Congress have clearly shown that they are determined to take our country down a far-reaching, radical and destructive path.

Right now, nothing is more critical than stopping them.

Naturally, I just couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to respond to Comrade McCain.  Below is my response:

Dear John McCain,

I voted for you and ex-Governor Palin in 2008.  I am sorry that you lost.  Not because I thought you, personally, would make a great President, but because I believed, and still believe, that ex-Governor Palin would have MADE you a great President!

That being said, if you and your Neo-Progressive GOP establishment were legitimately serious about putting the brakes on the Democrats’ and the Obama Administration’s disastrous, Communist policies, then you most certainly would have fully supported Senator Ted Cruz and his pseudo filibuster!

Yet, you failed to support him.  In fact, you fatuously belittled Sen. Cruz in a most public way!  Shame on you and the entire Neo-Progressive GOP establishment! You are part of the problem, John.  You and the Neo-Progressive GOP establishment are out of touch with the majority of Americans.

Currently, the largest ideological group in America is not Moderate nor Liberal; it’s Conservative.  Think about that.  You are disenfranchising 40 percent of America, my friend!

John, you have been handed a golden opportunity to make history and revive a GOP which is currently in its death-throes.   You will not be able to save the patient unless you assiduously and legitimately embrace the Tea Party Conservatives, thus breathing new life into the GOP.  I don’t care what you’ve been told or think; the GOP will not survive without incorporating the Tea Party Conservatives in a very real and meaningful way.

Also, quit worrying about appeasing and kowtowing to the “Lame Stream Media” (as ex-Gov. Palin likes to call them).  It’s absolutely embarrassing.  How’s that strategy working out for you, John?  What are you?   A man or a puppet?

The LSM is the bastard love child of Communism.   President Ronald Reagan (the second greatest President, ever, in my humble opinion) NEVER kowtowed to Communism in any form.  Neither should you.  Furthermore, you will NEVER appease the LSM as long as you claim ownership of that “R” next to your name on the ballot.  So, either stop your vain attempts at mollifying the LSM, or come out of the closet and declare yourself a Democrat in order to garner favoritism from a far-Left leaning LSM.   One or the other, John.  

Tangentially, your seemingly constant state of obsequiousness to the LSM has me wondering,  do you really think so maladroitly of your constituents that you actually think you need to get the LSM on your side in order to win an election?  They are NEVER on your side, yet you still keep winning your coveted Senate seat.  So, what’s the deal with all that fatuous suck-up-ism?

Face it, John, the GOP establishment is dead unless it genuinely supports and embraces the Tea Party Conservative movement which has swept America in the past few years.  No, I don’t mean merely paying Conservatives a bunch of lip service while surreptitiously sawing off their legs in order to fit them into a Procrustean bed designed by a group of misguided, egotistical Neo-Progressive GOP’ers.  Make your guest beds longer, my friend, not your guests’ legs shorter!

True comradeship within the ENTIRE Republican Party is the golden key you and your Neo-Progressive GOP establishment seems to have lost.  What I am saying is that you MUST veraciously and unquestionably support and embrace the Tea Party Conservatives in order to save the GOP!  No more hollow words or empty promises.  No more backstabbing and fatuous belittlement of Tea Party Conservatives.  No more elitism and backroom deals.

Until such a time as that, you and the rest of your Progressive GOP buddies will get NO HELP from the likes of me, nor from the likes of most Conservatives and Moderates.

I believe it was Lee Atwater who popularized the term, “The Big Tent.”  Well,  don’t you think it’s about time that your Big Tent genuinely provide accommodations for the Right, too, instead of just pretending it does when it really doesn’t?

CBS Grows A Pair: Calls Obamacare Roll-Out ‘Nothing Short of Disastrous’

Here’s my little theory on the GovernMENTAL Shutdown:

It was orchestrated as a side show to distract the public from the disastrous roll-out of Obamacare.

Clearly, the Government knew Obamacare would not be ready for its roll-out on October 1st, 2013.

Naturally, as seems to be the standard operating procedure for our current incompetent Government, they needed another huge distracted.   Else, ALL the major Lame Stream Media networks and newspapers would hammer them mercilessly with news reports of Obamacare failures.  So, Boehner (wittingly or unwittingly—it doesn’t matter—), Obama, and Reid orchestrated a side-show distraction on the very same, EXACT day that Obamacare rolled out:   The shutdown of the U.S. Government.

Interestingly enough, the GovernMENTAL Shutdown doesn’t seem to have affected the Government at all—they’re all still going about their business as usual, which is, giving the American People the “bird,” 24/7.

Hmm..

Anyway, here’s CBS actually doing some real reporting.   Of course, this is on the MORNING show and I would be EXTREMELY surprised if it ever makes its way to the EVENING news:

Anyone else having a few questions raised in their minds concerning those Federal Government Shutdown signs?  One, who knew well in advance that the government was actually shutting down?  I mean, it takes an inordinate amount of advanced notice to get anything printed in mass quantities!  And, two, how much of our hard earned tax-dollars were wasted printing up those signs, transporting them, posting them, etc., etc.???

At West Point where cadets are groomed into officers, a new 148-page report released on January 15 is urging enlisted men and women to be on alert for “terrorists” in the form of those who consider themselves patriots.

This study, released by the United States Military Academy’s Combating Terrorism Center, is entitled “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right.” Its author, Professor Arie Perliger, the Director of Terrorism Studies at the Combating Terrorism Center and Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Sciences at West Point, holds membership in the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, as well as being a former instructor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Considering his background, Perliger warns that growing legions of conservative-minded citizens across the U.S. pose a serious threat to our nation’s safety. Yet, whom precisely does Perliger deem as being affiliated with what he labels the “violent far right?”

In his own words, Perliger placed a bulls-eye on those who “espouse strong convictions regarding the federal government, believing it to be corrupt and tyrannical, with a natural tendency to intrude on individuals’ civil and constitutional rights.”

Even more specifically, Perliger asserted that other so-called extremists fall into the categories of anti-federalists, fundamentalist Christians, survivalists, gun-rights advocates, libertarians, pro-lifers, and those who oppose high taxation.

Not content with simply fingering these broad-reaching factions, Perliger zeroed in on another favorite globalist target. “Some groups are driven by a strong conviction that the American political system and its proxies were hijacked by external forces interested in promoting a New World Order.”

This umbrella characterization includes constitutionalists, those wary of a growing police state, and political activists such as some tea partiers. Thus, by using manipulative, emotionally-charged language intended to divide-and-conquer, Perliger equates those interested in preserving their individual freedoms with skinheads, neo-Nazis and militia members. Or, even more condescendingly, he smears conservatives as being backward, archaic and living in an era that has passed them by. In contrast, Perliger applauds liberals as future-oriented and progressive in their views.

Dr. Herbert W. Titus, a constitutional law professor and former dean of the Regent University School of Law “says it’s an attempt to link conservative thought with violence.”

(CNSNews.com) – Republican members of Congress have weighed in on the legal battle being waged over the Obamacare mandate requiring employers to provide contraceptives and abortion-inducing drugs to employees.

Eleven senators and congressmen filed an amicus brief, also known as a friend-of-the-court brief, with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit on Tuesday in support of Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., a Christian-owned and operated corporation that opposes the mandate based on its owners’ religious beliefs. Hobby Lobby filed suit against Health and Human Services and Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.

Rep. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) was one of the lead sponsors of the Religious Freedom Reformation Act of 1993, which he said was designed to protect the religious liberty of all Americans, even those who own corporations or other for-profit businesses.

“As one of the lead sponsors of RFRA, it’s deeply troubling to see this White House trample on the religious freedom the law seeks to protect,” Hatch said in a written statement.

The brief states: “Amici are federal legislators who were part of the broad, bipartisan coalition that enacted the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 (“RFRA”). Amici designed and passed RFRA to establish a blanket default rule that would insulate religious liberty from the shifting fortunes of interest-group politics.

“Defendants have ordered that certain employers’ insurance plans must cover all FDA-approved contraceptives without cost-sharing (the “HHS mandate”), but have refused to exempt many employers with sincere religious objections. Amici have an interest in vindicating RFRA’s blanket protections against the selective and stingy approach adopted by Defendants.”

In addition to Hatch, the brief was signed by Sens. Dan Coats (R-Ind.), Thad Cochran (R-Miss.), Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) and Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), and Reps. Lamar Smith (R-Texas), and Frank Wolf (R-Va.).

The Obama/Biden lawn sign remains proudly planted in front of Melowese Richardson’s Cincinnati home, three months after the presidential election.

It seems that President Obama has an especially ardent supporter in the veteran Ohio poll worker.

Richardson told a local television station this month that she voted twice for Obama last November. She cast an absentee ballot and then voted at the polls as well.

“Yes, I voted twice,” Richardson told WCPO-TV. “I, after registering thousands of people, certainly wanted my vote to count, so I voted. I voted at the polls.”

Authorities also are investigating if she voted in the names of four other people, too, for a total of six votes in the 2012 presidential election.

“I’ll fight it for Mr. Obama and for Mr. Obama’s right to sit as president of the United States,” Richardson vowed when asked about the voter fraud investigation that is now under way.

Richardson is one of 19 people suspected of illegal voting by the Hamilton County Board of Elections in the last election.

“It appears she not only attempted to vote more than once, but was actually successful at it and having those additional votes counted,” Ohio Secretary of State John Husted, who is in charge of the state’s elections, told Fox News.

“She appears to have used her position as a poll worker to cover her tracks. That would be someone who is an official in the elections process, using that position to commit a fraud. That is especially troubling to me, as the chief elections officer of the state, because it is my responsibility to make sure the system runs effectively, that it has integrity.
