West Point Teaches Cadets That Conservatives Are Terrorists

21 February, 2013

Of course, Obama has been given the green light to kill American “terrorists” without due process of law.

Nope.  I don’t see any problems there…  /sarcasm:

West Point Cadets Taught Patriots Are Terrorists

By Victor ThornAmerican Free Press

• Influential study published by an Israeli academic at America’s top military school seeks to brainwash future military leaders into believing those who advocate small government, individual sovereignty, freedom and liberty are the enemy

At West Point where cadets are groomed into officers, a new 148-page report released on January 15 is urging enlisted men and women to be on alert for “terrorists” in the form of those who consider themselves patriots.

This study, released by the United States Military Academy’s Combating Terrorism Center, is entitled “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right.” Its author, Professor Arie Perliger, the Director of Terrorism Studies at the Combating Terrorism Center and Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Sciences at West Point, holds membership in the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, as well as being a former instructor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Considering his background, Perliger warns that growing legions of conservative-minded citizens across the U.S. pose a serious threat to our nation’s safety. Yet, whom precisely does Perliger deem as being affiliated with what he labels the “violent far right?”

In his own words, Perliger placed a bulls-eye on those who “espouse strong convictions regarding the federal government, believing it to be corrupt and tyrannical, with a natural tendency to intrude on individuals’ civil and constitutional rights.”

Even more specifically, Perliger asserted that other so-called extremists fall into the categories of anti-federalists, fundamentalist Christians, survivalists, gun-rights advocates, libertarians, pro-lifers, and those who oppose high taxation.

Not content with simply fingering these broad-reaching factions, Perliger zeroed in on another favorite globalist target. “Some groups are driven by a strong conviction that the American political system and its proxies were hijacked by external forces interested in promoting a New World Order.”

This umbrella characterization includes constitutionalists, those wary of a growing police state, and political activists such as some tea partiers. Thus, by using manipulative, emotionally-charged language intended to divide-and-conquer, Perliger equates those interested in preserving their individual freedoms with skinheads, neo-Nazis and militia members. Or, even more condescendingly, he smears conservatives as being backward, archaic and living in an era that has passed them by. In contrast, Perliger applauds liberals as future-oriented and progressive in their views.

Dr. Herbert W. Titus, a constitutional law professor and former dean of the Regent University School of Law “says it’s an attempt to link conservative thought with violence.”

Iran: American Pastor Saeed Abedini Sentenced to 8 years in Prison for His Christian Faith

27 January, 2013

Nothing like a supposed religion that can’t stand on its own without imprisoning and killing practitioners of other religions.

I’m sure Obama will get on this right away…  Any day, now…  Anyone?  Hello?  Obama?  Are you there?

Yeah, that’s what I thought:

Saeed Abedini

Lies and a Conviction: Iran Mocks Justice – Convicts and Sentences American Pastor Saeed
By Jordan Sekulow – via ACLJ.org

Our worst fears have been realized. This morning in Tehran on an empty promise that American Pastor Saeed Abedini might be released, his lawyer came to court.  The lawyer had no formal notice that his presence was required, only the casual request less than 24 hours before from a court administrator to a family friend that the lawyer should come to the court because it was releasing Pastor Saeed.  But this was all a lie.

Upon arriving at the court, Dr. Naser Sarbazi, Pastor Saeed’s lawyer, saw his client. He knew he had been deceived.

Without family present, Judge Pir-Abassi of Branch 26 of the Iranian Revolutionary Court, known as the “hanging judge,” verbally convicted and sentenced Pastor Saeed to eight years in prison for threatening the national security of Iran through his leadership in Christian house churches.  The evidence provided was of Pastor Saeed’s Christian activities primarily during the early 2000s, when under President Khatami house churches were not perceived as a threat to Iran. Despite Iranian law requiring a written verdict, none was given.

Here’s the troubling reality: A U.S. citizen, who has been beaten and tortured since him imprisonment last fall, now facing eight years in Evin Prison, one of the most brutal prisons in Iran.

We represent Pastor Saeed’s wife, Naghmeh, and her two children who live in the U.S. Upon hearing this injustice, Naghmeh, said: “The promise of his release was a lie.  We should not trust the empty words or promises put out by the Iranian government.  These false hopes amount to psychological torture.  You don’t want to trust them, but they build a glimmer of hope before the crushing blow.  With today’s development I am devastated for my husband and my family.  We must now pursue every effort, turn every rock, and not stop until Saeed is safely on American soil.”

We know that with the Iranian Revolutionary Court, Pastor Saeed’s conviction and sentence had to be approved at the very top – The Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei had to sign off.

Iran has not only abused its own laws, it has trampled on the fundamentals of human rights.  We call on the citizens of the world to rise up in protest.  We call on governments around the world to stand and defend Pastor Saeed.  As his wife has pleaded, starting with our own government, every effort must be pursued. We are calling on the State Department and the White House, which have both called for Pastor Saeed’s release, to engage further.

This is a real travesty. An U.S. citizen faces a lengthy prison term for simply because of his Christian faith.  Pastor Saeed facing eight years in a harsh prison – likely facing life-threatening torture and abuse at the hands of the Iranian regime.

Please continue to pray for Pastor Saeed and his family. We will continue to utilize all of our efforts to see that justice is served and Pastor Saeed is safely in the arms of his loving wife and two children back home in the United States.

Yet Again, Obama’s Christmas Card Makes No Reference to Christ

10 December, 2012

Yup, Americans are being led to the slaughter via the Godless—and a dog named BO:

White House “Holiday” Card Spotlights Dog, Not Christmas
By Todd Starnes – FoxNewsRadio

The 2012 White House “Holiday” card spotlights the Obama’s family Portuguese water dog — instead of Christmas.

The black and white illustration was designed by Iowa artist Larassa Kabel and shows Bo the dog, wearing a scarf, while frolicking in the snow on the South Lawn of a blurred White House.

The inside of the card reportedly reads, ”This season, may your home be filled with family, friends, and the joy of the holidays.” The card is signed by the entire First Family — along with Bo’s paw print.

Vanity Fair deemed this year’s Obama ‘Holiday’ card his best-ever in a posting titled, “Bo Obama: the True Meaning of Christmas.”

The 2012 card made no mention of any specific holiday nor did it include a Bible verse noting the birth of Christ.

[…]

Last year’s card also featured Bo — and made no mention of the word ‘Christmas.’ The front of last year’s card showed the dog lounging by a fireplace surrounded by holiday greenery. Presents were placed on a table underneath a poinsettia – instead of a Christmas tree.

[…]

Former President Bush did not mention Merry Christmas in his cards, but had a history of including Bible passages on the White House Christmas Cards.

For his final Christmas in office, the president sent a greeting card that included a verse from the Gospel of Matthew.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven,” the card read.

But that was back in the day when Jesus was the reason for the season – not a Portuguese Water dog.

Cue the Fire and Brimstone: West Point Chapel Hosting First Queer Marriage, Today

1 December, 2012

Unsurprisingly, it is two women who are getting married.  You see, the military is more amiable to lesbians than they are fags.   Therefore, in order to break down military traditions and make way for the fags, lesbians have been tasked with leading the charge:

West Point chapel to host first same-sex marriage

The ceremony comes a little more than a year after President Obama ended the military policy banning openly gay people from serving.

12:20AM EST December 1. 2012 – The first same-sex marriage at the U.S. Military Academy’s Cadet Chapel at West Point will be celebrated Saturday as Brenda Sue Fulton and Penelope Dara Gnesin exchange vows.

The ceremony comes a little more than a year after President Obama ended the military policy banning openly gay people from serving.

Fulton, a veteran and the communications director of an organization called Outserve — which represents actively serving gay, lesbian and bisexual military personnel — confirmed in an e-mail to USA TODAY Friday night: “We will be the first same sex couple to wed at the Cadet Chapel at West Point.”

[…]

But, wait! There’s more!

Ms. Fulton has been PERSONALLY HAND PICKED BY OBAMA to help destroy our military’s integrity:

In July 2011, President Obama named Fulton to the West Point Board of Visitors, making her the first openly gay member of the board that advises the Academy.

She graduated from West Point in 1980, part of the first class of cadets that included women, and later founded an organization called KnightsOut, which describes itself as “an organization of West Point Alumni, Staff and Faculty who are united in supporting the rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender soldiers to openly serve their country.”

Can you say, “Sodom and Gomorrah?”

I think Psalm 9:17 sums it up fairly succinctly:

“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”

PA Restaurant Forced By Government to Extend Sunday Church Discount to Atheists and Satanists

30 November, 2012

Yup, more government interference into the lives of small business owners.

The real interesting thing is that the judge has just reaffirmed that Atheism IS a religion! Be sure to point this out to your Atheist friends whenever they try to convince you otherwise:

Gov’t Gives PA Restaurant a Choice: Give 10% Sunday Church Bulletin Discount to Atheists Too or Discontinue it Entirely
The Blaze

Do you recall the furor surrounding Prudhomme’s Lost Cajun Kitchen, a Pennsylvania-based restaurant, this past summer? The establishment has been offering a 10 percent discount for individuals who bring in a church bulletin on Sundays. Citing this action as discriminatory, John Wolff, a local atheist, filed a complaint with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC). Now, the restaurant will be forced to offer discounts to any individual who brings in a pamphlet involving religious faith — including atheism.

To continue offering its discount, Prudhomme’s Lost Cajun Kitchen must now honor literature that comes from any religious institution, The Christian Post reports. This includes secular bulletins from the Freedom From Religion Foundation, an atheist activist non-profit, and faith-based documents pertaining to Judaism, Islam and other religions on Sundays.

A one-line statement from the state human relations commission summarized these ideals: ”Respondent will continue to give a discount for any bulletin from any group oriented around the subject of religious faith, including publications from the Freedom From Religion Foundation, as long as they maintain the Sunday discount program.”

The ruling gave victory to Wolff, who argued that he was being discriminated against since he does not attend church. Shannon Powers, a spokesperson for PHRC, told the York Daily Record that the restaurant merely needs to remove the word “church” from the discount to comply with the new mandate.

“This simple language change was our recommendation from the beginning and was refused by Prudhomme’s,” Powers said.

The government representative made it clear, though, that the restaurant lost its battle and that Wolff’s religious complaint was upheld.

North Carolina School Orders 6-Year-Old Girl to Remove God from Veterans Day Poem

29 November, 2012

Here’s a tip for all you brainwashed educators out there:   Just because a student is attending a federal indoctrination center does not mean that said student abdicates his/her religious rights once he/she walks through the doors:

School Orders 6-year-old to Remove ‘God’ From Poem

By Todd Starnes – Fox Radio News

A North Carolina community is embroiled in controversy after a school ordered a six-year-old girl to remove the word “God” from a poem that she was supposed to read during a Veteran’s Day ceremony.

The girl is a first-grader at West Marion Elementary School. She was supposed to read the poem during a school assembly marking Veteran’s Day. The poem honored her two grandfathers who had served during the Vietnam War.

“He prayed to God for peace, he prayed to God for strength,” the poem read.

A parent reportedly found out about the poem and expressed concern about mentioning the word God during a school event. The parent did not want the Almighty’s name mentioned anywhere in the program, according to one account.

“We wanted to make sure we were upholding the school district’s responsibility of separation of church and state from the Establishment Clause,” Supt. Gerri Martin told the McDowell News.

Martin told the newspaper she made the decision in consultation with the school’s principal and vice principal.

“We jointly decided that we must err on the side of caution to prevent crossing the line on the Establishment Clause of the Constitution,” Kirkpatrick told the newspaper. “As a principal of a public school, I must put aside my personal religious beliefs and follow the law — which upholds that we have freedom of speech and freedom of religion, but that we, as public schools, cannot endorse one single religion over another.”

Fox News contacted the parents of the child but they declined to comment on the controversy.

The incident has sparked widespread concern across this western North Carolina community — called by many the buckle of the Bible Belt.

“I’m reserving my opinion at this point – but I’m very concerned that the young lady’s First Amendment rights have been broken,” said Scott Hagaman, senior pastor of Marion’s First Baptist Church.

He told Fox News that ministers across the community are alarmed what happened and many are asking questions.

“It’s saturated the community,” he said. “I’m quite sure it will be handled appropriately and fairly but right now there is a lot of concern that this child was not treated appropriately.”

The issue is expected to be addressed by local residents at next week’s school board meeting.

“I am outraged that a school would deny a six year old child her First Amendment rights — especially during an assembly to honor our nation’s veterans,” Trudy Pascoe told Fox News. “It is unacceptable for schools to continue to deny students rights because of their Christian viewpoint.”

Chris Greene, who happens to be employed by the school district, spoke to board members earlier this week.

“My question is this, when do the rights of one outweigh the rights of another,” he asked in remarks covered by the local newspaper. “I believe that this little girl’s rights were violated and that those who worked so hard to prepare this program should receive an apology.”

Pastor Hagaman said it’s no surprise that the First Amendment debate has reached their small town.

“I don’t think there’s anywhere in the country where you can hide from these issues — with the culture changing so quickly,” he said.

Dearbornistan: Federal Judge Rules Christians Can Sue Muslim Festival Organizers

29 November, 2012

Now that Christians have won this ruling, they need to go not only after the organizers but, they need to go after the city of Dearborn itself for bowing to Islam!:

Judge: Christian evangelists can sue Muslims
Arab Chamber of Commerce runs festival where faithful arrested
WND

A federal judge has ruled that Christian evangelists who were arrested at a Dearborn, Mich., festival sponsored by the Arab Chamber of Commerce can sue the business organization.

“The court finds that plaintiffs do properly allege a civil conspiracy among defendants, including the AACC, to deprive plaintiffs of their constitutional rights sufficient to survive a motion to dismiss,” the court’s ruling said.

It came in a case brought by the American Freedom Law Center on behalf of the Christians. David Yerushalmi, AFLC co-founder and senior counsel, said: “The detailed allegations of our 100-page civil rights complaint sets out a pattern of misconduct that had the purpose and effect of depriving our clients of their fundamental constitutional rights.”

The judge, Stephen J. Murphy III, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, granted the AFLC’s request to amend its complaint on behalf of the missionaries “unlawfully arrested for preaching the Gospel to Muslims at the 2010 Arab International Festival.”

Added to list of defendants was the American Arab Chamber of Commerce, the organization responsible for the Dearborn Arab Festival.

It was on June 18, 2010, when four Christian missionaries, Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, David Wood, Paul Rezkalla, and Negeen Mayel, were thrown in jail by Dearborn police officers for peacefully preaching to Muslims at that year’s annual event.

The four were accused of “breach of the peace.” They were ordered to trial, but, represented by Robert Muise, AFLC co-founder and senior counsel, they were acquitted.

Then Yerushalmi and Muise brought the civil rights action against the city, mayor John B. O’Reilly, police chief Ronald Haddad, 17 police officers and others.

It accuses sheriff’s officers of siding “with the Muslim mob intent on suppressing the Christians’ speech.”

The situation since then only has deteriorated, the evidence suggests. A video was made during the 2012 events indicating hundreds of angry Muslims threw chunks of concrete and eggs at a team of Christians, spraying them with urine and cursing at them – all while police stood by and then threatened the victims with “disorderly conduct.”

The video explains authorities not only failed to protect the Christians, they ordered them to leave the Arab Festival under threat of arrest for “disorderly conduct.”

However, not one Muslim was arrested for the attack that left several members of the Christian group bloodied, it says.

Egypt: Christian Anti-Muhammad YouTube Video Makers Sentenced to Death

28 November, 2012

With Obama still trying to distract Americans away from his culpability  in the Benghazi massacre, I wouldn’t be a bit surprised to see him hand the Christians over to his Muzzy buddies in Egypt:

Egyptian Christians sentenced to death for Islam film

(Reuters) – A Cairo court on Wednesday sentenced to death seven Egyptian Christians tried in absentia for participating in an anti-Islam video that was released on the Internet in September and prompted violent protests in Muslim countries.

“The seven accused persons were convicted of insulting the Islamic religion through participating in producing and offering a movie that insults Islam and its prophet,” Judge Saif al-Nasr Soliman said.

The low-budget video, produced privately in California, denigrated the Prophet Mohammad and triggered anti-U.S. protests and attacks on Western embassies around the Muslim world.

The convicted persons included Egyptian-American Nakoula Bassely Nakoula, who is currently serving a one-year-jail term in Los Angeles after an American court convicted him of probation violations that stemmed from his role in the movie.

Massachusetts Supreme Court to Hear Case Seeking Removal of “Under God” from Pledge of Allegiance

27 November, 2012

Why don’t these Lefturds just replace “under God” with “under Obama” and be done with it already…

Yeah, you can be good without God, but you’re still going to Hell…

SJC to hear Pledge of Allegiance case
By Michael Hartwell – Sentinel&Enterprise.com

LUNENBURG — The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court is gearing up to hear a court case that could permanently strike the phrase “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance recited by schoolchildren.

[…]

[An] unidentified [Atheist] family is joined in the case by the American Humanist Association, a secular rights group. They say this violates the equal rights amendment in the Massachusetts Constitution. In addition, they also say the daily recital of the pledge counts as unlawful discrimination.

Anyone else find it hypocritical that the AHA uses God’s name all the time (as seen in the above picture proudly displayed on their main page ), yet refuse that basic right to our children?

On June 8, the lawsuit was rejected by the Middlesex Superior Court, and the Supreme Judicial Court decided last month to hear the case. Oral arguments will start in early 2013, and the judgment should be revealed by early summer.

[…]

The case has two separate groups of defendants. One is the school district and Acton-Boxboro Superintendent Stephen E. Mills. The other is a Catholic family headed by Daniel and Ingrid Joyce who have two children in the district, the Knights of Columbus and the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty activist law firm.

[…]

Eric Rassbach of the deputy general counsel for the Becket Fund, said the God referred to in the Pledge of Allegiance is the origin of the rights of Americans, not a religious deity.

“They wanted to draw a distinction between countries like the Soviet Union, where rights proceed from the state. He said the Declaration of Independence shows the founding fathers believed rights come from the creator, and that the government can’t take them away.

He said rights that come from the state are fake.

“The state could just declare you don’t have those rights anymore,” said Rassbach. He said that same meaning for God is used in Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address and the Massachusetts Constitution.

The interpretation of “God” having a non-religious meaning was supported by Middlesex Superior Court Judge S. Jane Haggerty when she rejected the suit. She wrote that the pledge is a patriotic exercise, not a prayer.

Atheists Successfully Shut Down Nativity Displays in Santa Monica

20 November, 2012

Well, it’s almost that time of year again; the time of year where Atheists become so intimidated by a God they believe doesn’t exist that they must silence anyone else’s public profession of faith in Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior:

Judge rejects Nativity displays in Santa Monica

By GILLIAN FLACCUS – AP – via Miami Herald

LOS ANGELES — There’s no room for the baby Jesus, the manger or the wise men this Christmas in a Santa Monica park following a judge’s ruling Monday against churches that tried to keep a 60-year Nativity tradition alive after atheists stole the show with anti-God messages.

U.S. District Judge Audrey B. Collins rejected a motion from the Santa Monica Nativity Scenes Committee to allow the religious display this season while their lawsuit plays out against the city.

Collins said the city was within its constitutional right to eliminate the exemption that had allowed the Nativity at the oceanfront Palisades Park because the change affected all comers – from Christians to Jews to atheists – and provided other avenues for public religious speech.

The coalition of churches that had put on the life-sized, 14-booth Nativity display for decades argued the city banned it rather than referee a religious dispute that began three years ago when atheists first set up their anti-God message alongside the Christmas diorama.

The judge, however, said Santa Monica proved that it banned the displays not to squash religious speech but because they were becoming a drain on city resources, destroying the turf and obstructing ocean views. Churches can set up unattended displays at 12 other parks in the city with a permit and can leaflet, carol and otherwise present the Christmas story in Palisades Park when it is open, she said.
