Second Muzzie Arrested in Attempted Bombing of Federal Reserve Bank

What is interesting is that the FBI has arrested him on charges of child pornography.  My best guess is that they didn’t have enough evidence to get a clean prosecution on the terrorism charges:

The Bangladeshi man who was arrested Wednesday on charges that he plotted to blow up the Federal Reserve Bank of New York had an accomplice in San Diego, who was arrested later on unrelated child-pornography charges, a law enforcement official said on Thursday.

The man described as the accomplice, Howard Willie Carter II, was arrested after an agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation found 1,000 images and three video files containing child pornography on a laptop and hard drive in the trash near Mr. Carter’s apartment, according to a government document. Officials used material stored on the computer to trace it back to Mr. Carter.

The computer also contained e-mails addressed to “Yaqeen,” a name that Brooklyn prosecutors said Mr. Carter had used in the plot to bomb the Federal Reserve building.

However, a local ABC affiliate in San Diego has let the cat out of the bag,  thus confirming what we already  instinctively knew:

For more than a month, Curtis Morehead was Carter’s roommate at the City Heights apartment. He told 10News FBI agents raided his apartment on Wednesday morning and showed him pictures of Carter.

“They said they were looking into … an organized terror front to America,” said Morehead.

Morehead said his roommate was a devout Muslim, regularly went to a nearby mosque and once made an interesting remark.

“He said, ‘We will take out anyone who messes with us.’ That kind of struck me as, you’re one of those, OK,” said Morehead.

Morehead said Carter was jobless, had little money and claimed to be from Baltimore.

“He would be moody, mood swing-type of thing,” said Morehead.

Muzzy Pleads Guilty in Plot to Storm Military Recruitment Center in Seattle, WA

Obviously, another one of those “misunderstanders” of Islam. /sarcasm:

Under his plea deal with federal prosecutors, Walli Mujahidh, 32, formerly of Los Angeles, will face a prison term of 27 to 32 years when he is sentenced in April, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a statement.

His co-defendant, Abu Khalid Abdul-Latif, 33, of Seattle, is due to go on trial in May 2012.

The pair, both U.S. citizens, were arrested in June and indicted the next month on charges of conspiring to attack the Military Entrance Processing Station, where enlistees are screened and processed, about 3 miles south of downtown Seattle.

Prosecutors have said the men originally planned to attack Joint Base Lewis-McChord near Tacoma, the home installation of five U.S. soldiers charged with murdering unarmed civilians in Afghanistan, but then switched their intended target. Four of those soldiers were convicted or pleaded guilty to murder or manslaughter while the fifth still faces a court-martial.

Mujahidh pleaded guilty to conspiracy to murder officers and agents of the United States, conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction and unlawful possession of a firearm.

After being arrested, according to an FBI affidavit, he waived his legal rights and told federal agents that the plot was to prevent U.S. military personnel from going to Islamic lands and killing Muslims.

When Barack Obama signed the continuing resolution this past weekend averting another potential government shutdown, it’s doubtful that he was aware that tucked into the bill, which funds several federal agencies through the fiscal year and extends the continuing resolution for the rest of the government until December 16, is a provision that may dramatically impact what Islamic groups and leaders the FBI and other law enforcement agencies can continue to work with.

Under Division B, Title II of the bill, under the Federal Bureau of Investigation-Salaries and Expenses section, is the following provision:

Liaison partnerships– The conferees support the FBI’s policy prohibiting any formal non-investigative cooperation with unindicted co-conspirators in terrorism cases. The conferees expect the FBI to insist on full compliance with this policy by FBI field offices and to report to the Committees on Appropriations regarding any violation of the policy.

In other words; no more of those stupid,  mandatory, CAIR sponsored “Islamic sensitivity” training classes for FBI agents every few months.

The most obvious group that this will impact is the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which was named unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case — the largest terrorism-finance trial in American history. During the trial, FBI Dallas Agent Lara Burns testified that CAIR was a front for the terrorist group Hamas.

Following the trial, which resulted in guilty verdicts on all counts and lengthy prison terms for all five Holy Land executives, the FBI was forced to cut ties with CAIR – a decision that CAIR claimed would hurt local communities and that prompted other Muslim groups, like the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), to threaten to stop cooperation with the FBI unless CAIR was reinstated. In a February 2010 letter to members of Congress, Assistant Attorney General Robert Weich forwarded evidence submitted by federal prosecutors in the trial and court testimony concerning CAIR’s ties to the Hamas-controlled Palestine Committee and that committee’s role in supporting Hamas.

FBI and DEA agents have disrupted a plot to commit a “significant terrorist act in the United States” tied to Iran, federal officials told ABC News today.

The officials said the plot included the assassination of the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States, Adel Al-Jubeir, with a bomb and subsequent bomb attacks on the Saudi and Israeli embassies in Washington, D.C. Bombings of the Saudi and Israeli embassies in Buenos Aires, Argentina, were also discussed, according to the U.S. officials.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said in an announcement today that the plan was “conceived, sponsored and was directed from Iran” by a faction of the government and called it a “flagrant” violation of U.S. and international law.

“The U.S. is committed to holding Iran accountable for its actions,” Holder said. He said the White House will be meeting with federal agencies before announcing “further action” in regards to Iran.

What about the U.S.’s commitment to hold you accountable for your treasonous actions, Eric?

FBI Director Robert Mueller said the arrest of a suspect in the plot shows the U.S. will “bring the full weight of [the] law to bear on those responsible” and that “any attempts on American soil will not be tolerated.”

The State Department has listed Iran as a “state sponsor” of terror since 1984. Officials in Argentina have said Iran was behind an attack on the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires in 1992.

Alleged Terror Plotter Claims He Was ‘Directed By High-Ranking’ Iranian Officials

The new case, called Operation Red Coalition, began in May when an Iranian-American from Corpus Christi, Texas, approached a DEA informant seeking the help of a Mexican drug cartel to assassinate the Saudi ambassador, according to counter-terrorism officials.

The Iranian-American thought he was dealing with a member of the feared Zetas Mexican drug organization, according to agents.

The DEA office in Houston brought in FBI agents as the international terror implications of the case became apparent.

The Iranian-American, identified by federal officials as Manssor Arbabsiar, 56, reportedly claimed he was being “directed by high-ranking members of the Iranian government,” including a cousin who was “a member of the Iranian army but did not wear a uniform,” according to a person briefed on the details of the case. Counter-terrorism officials said they believe the cousin may be part of the special operations unit of the Revolutionary Guard, the Quds force.

Arbabsiar and a second man, Gohlam Shakuri, an Iranian official, were named in a five-count criminal complaint filed Tuesday afternoon in federal court in New York. They were charged with conspiracy to kill a foreign official and conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction, a bomb, among other counts. Shakuri is still at large in Iran, Holder said.

The complaint also refers to another Iranian official but does not name him.

A 26-year-old Massachusetts man has been arrested and accused of plotting to attack the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol with large remote-controlled aircraft filled with explosives.

CBS News correspondent Bob Orr reports that U.S. officials say the suspect, Rezwan Ferdaus was deadly serious about his plans, but the plot had no chance of succeeding.

Ferdaus, an U.S. citizen and Northeastern University graduate, went by the name “Bollywood” when he played in a Massachusetts band. However, U.S. officials say the drummer is also a self-radicalized jihadist, intent on attacking Americans in the U.S. and overseas.

Ferdaus now faces charges of plotting attacks and supporting a foreign terrorist organization.

Ferdaus was arrested after he bought what he believed to be 25 pounds of plastic explosives, three grenades and six automatic assault rifles from undercover FBI agents posing as al Qaeda operatives.

Over the past nine months, the agents recorded multiple conversations in which Ferdaus laid out plans for an aerial attack. He bought one small drone aircraft and planned to buy others which he hoped to fill with explosives and fly into Pentagon and Capitol from a park along the Potomac River.

He travelled to Washington to do surveillance taking pictures of his targets.

Officials stress that at no time was Ferdaus outside of the control of his undercover handlers, so he presented no actual danger. But, he repeatedly told the agents that he was driven to kill Americans which he called “enemies of Allah.”

He told the undercovers: “I just can’t stop. There is no other choice for me.”

Ferdaus’ college degree is in physics, and he apparently has some proficiency with building explosive devices. In the course of the investigation, officials say he converted eight cell phones into detonators, which he thought were being used in Iraq to trigger IEDs against U.S. soldiers.

Ferdaus was scheduled to make an initial appearance in federal court in Worcester on Wednesday afternoon.

There is a good chance Ferdaus will try to claim he was entrapped by the undercover FBI agents, but agents say they gave him multiple opportunities to get out of it during the course of their investigation.

FBI Covered Up a Third ‘Fast and Furious’ Gun Linked to Death of Border Agent Brian Terry?

Everytime I read about all the coverups and obstructions of justice involved with operation “Fast and Furious,” I can’t help but be reminded of the Watergate scandal—except, no one died in Watergate:

A third gun linked to the botched Operation “Fast and Furious” federal firearms sting may have been found at the scene of murdered U.S. Customs and Border Agent Brian Terry.

New documents have emerged that contradict the previous government claim that only two weapons tied to the Fast and Furious investigation were found at the crime scene, according to Fox News.

If true, these revelations could lead to serious criminal charges, including obstruction of justice, tampering with evidence, and making false official statements.

Fox’s sources have claimed  the FBI covered up evidence from the Brian Terry murder crime scene to protect a confidential informant. According to those same sources, the reason the FBI would go to such lengths to protect an informant if because he/she:

“Works inside a major Mexican cartel and provided the money to obtain the weapons used to kill Terry. Unlike the two AK-style assault weapons found at the scene, the third weapon could more easily be linked to the informant. To prevent that from happening, sources say, the third gun “disappeared.””

There are also a series of emails Fox has obtained from the hours after Terry was killed on Dec. 14, 2010,  that top ATF officials wrote that appear to indicate knowledge of a third weapon. In one email, an intelligence analyst wrote that:

“She had successfully traced two weapons at the scene, and is now “researching the trace status of firearms recovered earlier today by the FBI.””

In a response to that email, deputy ATF-Phoenix director George Gillett asks:

“Are those two (AK-47s) in addition to the gun already recovered this morning?”

When Fox showed the emails to a former federal prosecutor, the response was shock. “I have never seen anything like this,” he said,  ”I can see the FBI may have an informant involved but I can’t see them tampering with evidence. If this is all accurate, I’m stunned.”

The FBI declined to comment on specific questions relayed by Fox, and directed reporters to existing court records. So far, those records only reflect two Fast and Furious guns at the crime scene of Brian Terry.

A lawyer for Brian Terry’s family told Fox News that :

“The family wants answers. They’d like to put this to rest and put closure to exactly what happened to Brian.”

Meanwhile, a Congressional investigation into the Fast and Furious scandal is ongoing.

FBI Claims Muzzies’ Plot to Blow Up Synagogue in NY Not Terrorism

You can bet that if a couple of Christians had plotted to blow up a mosque, the FBI would be on it like stink on poo.

The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force has opted out of the case of two New York men allegedly involved in a plot to blow up a local synagogue over concerns it is not a bona fide terrorism case, WNYC reports.

Two federal law enforcement sources, who spoke to the station on condition of anonymity, said the FBI did not take the case of the two alleged New York City terrorists because the end result was being over-hyped and the agency felt the case would not hold up in court.

Deputy Police Commissioner Paul Browne rejected the Federal critique, saying, “When somebody acquires weapons and plans to bomb the largest synagogue in Manhattan he can find, what do you call it, mischief?”

Over the years, there have been tensions between the FBI and the NYPD, WNYC reports. The NYPD maintains its own sophisticated counterterrorism unit and has 1,000 officers committed to intelligence gathering and infrastructure protection. It also has detectives deployed in several major cities around the world.

Ahmed Ferhani, who is from Algeria, and Mohamed Mamdouh, who is from Morocco, were arrested after Ferhani was caught in a police sting trying to buy guns, ammunition and a hand grenade. Police and prosecutors said they laid the trap after an undercover investigator who had befriended the pair recorded Ferhani talking about attacking a city synagogue and maybe the Empire State Building. Both men came to the U.S. during grade school. Officials characterized the case as one involving a “pair of lone wolves” who were not part of a broader global terrorism conspiracy.

The “lone wolf” characterization mimics the fears of local officials regarding “home-grown” players like Faisal Shahzad, who tried to set off a car bomb in Times Square.

Two men arrested in relation to an alleged terror plot in New York City were of Moroccan and Algerian descent, FOX News reported Thursday.

Moroccan Mohammad Mamdouh and Algerian Ahmed Serhani were arrested late Wednesday and were expected to be charged under the state’s terrorism laws. Both were American citizens.

In an unusual move, Manhattan district attorney Cyrus Vance’s office decided to prosecute after the FBI declined to get involved, sources told The Post.

Serhani was a drugs dealer, FOX News reported, with a source saying he was allegedly trying to sell narcotics to finance the purchase of a weapon for a possible attack on a synagogue. However, the pair had not actually purchased any weapons at the time of their arrests.

The men were expected to be arraigned Thursday and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg was scheduled to address the media at an afternoon news conference, The New York Times reported.

The plot was not in retaliation for the killing of Usama bin Laden, a source said, since it had been planned before his death.

Officials did not disclose what had led to the arrests.

PHOENIX — An Iraqi immigrant accused of killing his daughter because he believed she was too Westernized goes on trial this month in Arizona in a case that raised awareness about incidents of so-called “honor killings” in the U.S.
-AP might not like it but that is the term muslims use for murdering a family member. Almost as bad as the act is the approval from the local muslim communities.

Faleh Hassan Almaleki, 50, faces life in prison if convicted. In October 2009, he slammed his Jeep into his daughter, Noor Almaleki, 20, prosecutors said.

The woman, who longed to live a normal American life, was in a coma for two weeks before succumbing to her injuries, in a case that caused outrage from people nationwide.

Faleh Almaleki moved his family from Iraq to the Phoenix suburb of Glendale in the mid-1990s. He and Noor Almaleki had a tumultuous relationship, according to police and court records, and her close friends.

At 17, she refused to enter into an arranged marriage in Iraq, enraging her father, according to a court document filed by prosecutors.

At 19, Noor Almaleki moved into her own apartment and began working at a fast food restaurant but quit and left her new place after her parents kept showing up at her work, insisting that she return home, the document said.
-The sad thing is Arizona is a right to carry state, she could be alive and dad could be swapping spit in hell with mohammed.

Undercover agents in a sting operation arrested a Somali-born teenager just as he tried blowing up a van full of what he believed were explosives at a crowded Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Portland, federal authorities said.

The bomb was a fake supplied by the agents and the public was never in danger, authorities said.
-Well played, thank you.

Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, was arrested at 5:40 p.m. Friday just after he dialed a cell phone that he thought would set off the blast but instead brought federal agents and police swooping down on him.

Yelling “Allahu Akbar!” — Arabic for “God is great!” — Mohamud tried to kick agents and police after he was taken into custody, according to prosecutors.
-I often wonder when these idiots will realize allah is a fake deity. Had this bomb worked the minions would have celebrated, the Christians would have sought to lesson tensions and worked to forgive the attackers. The better religion is as clear as the evidence against this teen.

“The threat was very real,” said Arthur Balizan, special agent in charge of the FBI in Oregon. “Our investigation shows that Mohamud was absolutely committed to carrying out an attack on a very grand scale,”
-This is exactly what the minion leadership ordered. All the press releases by UBL, Zawahiri, and the rest continuously order all minions to attack the west. They encourage them to murder in the name of allah. It will not be long before a release will mention this kid and praise him for trying. It will also condemn any muslim that failed to help him.
