Donkey Bomb Kills District Police Chief in Afghanistan

6 August, 2012

The Taliban’s version of a smart-ass bomb:

Donkey bomb kills district police chief, wounds 3 in Afghanistan
 (Xinhua) –  August 06, 2012

CHEGHCHERAN, Afghanistan, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) — The anti-government militants planted mine on the back of a donkey and targeted a district police chief killing him on the spot and injuring three others in Ghor province 360 km west of Afghan capital Kabul on Monday, provincial police chief said.

“The rebels planted mine on a donkey and stopped it near the gate of the district headquarters of Charsada district and when the district police chief arrived at the gate at around 09:00 a.m. local time to go to his office, the rebels exploded it by remote control killing the police chief on the spot,” Dilawar Shah Dilawar told Xinhua.

Condemning the incident, Dilawar said that the donkey was also killed in blast, adding the trick exposes Taliban cruelty against both human being and animals.

Three more police were injured in the incident, the provincial police chief added.

Taliban militants fighting the government have yet to comment.

Stoopid Monkey Award: Another Workplace Accident in Afghanistan?

4 May, 2012

Not quite exactly sure, but it looks to me like the guy in white tripped and accidentally hit the detonate button:

Update:  After viewing it a few times, the explosion appears to come from underneath, so it could be that he tripped over an IED which was probably hidden the night before by one of his buddies.    Either way you look at it, it’s a workplace accident.  Stoopid monkeys!

Devout muslim murders 20 other devout muslims.

23 August, 2010

Allahu ackbar, the ramadan holiday is in full swing. Every time a radical muslim murders another radical muslim the pedophile mohammed looks up from hell and smiles. Muslims get extra jihadi points for violence during ramadan.

24 Aug, 2010, AFP
A suicide bomber blew himself up at a Pakistani mosque yesterday, killing at least 20 people including a prominent local cleric in the lawless district of South Waziristan, officials said.

It was the first significant suicide attack in Pakistan since August 4 and comes with the country battling to cope with the fallout of devastating floods that have affected up to a fifth of the country and hit 20 million people.
-Pious muslims are not sending much money to help but I bet they would give generously to the 9-11 victory mosque.

The apparent target was cleric Noor Mohammed, a member of radical Sunni Muslim party Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, which has been linked to the Taliban, and a former lawmaker.
-What is a little pay back among competitive cult members?

He was greeting members of the congregation in the town of Wana after prayers when the bomber struck, officials told AFP on condition of anonymity.

The mosque was badly damaged in the blast, where local residents were busy trying to recover people from the rubble amid fears that the death toll could rise further.

“The death toll in the suicide attack has risen to 20, with more than 40 people wounded,” said one of the officials.

Syed Noor, a nephew of the cleric, confirmed that his uncle had been killed.

A health official in a paramilitary hospital in Wana said condition of most of the wounded was critical.

“We have received 14 injured but there condition was very critical,” the official told AFP requesting anonymity.

Locals described the cleric as an influential figure who had several times acted as a negotiator between the Taliban and the Pakistani government, but was opposed to the presence of Uzbek militants, providing support to dislodge them.
-I guess they tally-bombed the taliban. (more…)

Stop support to Pakistan

21 August, 2010

Millions of people are daily facing real life horror in Pakistan. The recent floods forced them to flee their homes and the government just does not have the resources to help especially over such a large, rough area. I have seen estimates that as many as 10 million + are homeless, hungry and many are in remote areas and may not see help for weeks and possibly months.

People need shelter, food, clean water, medical care and they need it yesterday. The world has started to respond; charities (mostly western ones) are all over this. The UN has asked for help and (mostly western) nations have responded. America has already given more than all the islamic nations combined.

It is not enough; they need more. With crops destroyed; entire regions underwater and with the diseases that will soon ravage the survivors; the Pakistani people have only seen the beginning of their problems. Things will get worse, much worse.

Many of you will attend religious services this weekend and you will be asked to open your hearts and wallets. I am asking you not too. (more…)

The abused women of islam; a shocking story heard every day

20 August, 2010

Except for the lie about the pedophile mohammed respecting women; this article does a fair job of explaining the plight of Afghan women. This is also not just an “afghan problem” islam is abuse.

21 August 2010, the National
Manizha Naderi, as told to Hamida Ghafour
Ten months ago I received a phone call from an Afghan-American translator working with the provincial reconstruction team in Uruzgan province, saying that the American soldiers there had a young girl on their base who needed help.

He would not tell me what her story was.

After I accepted her to our shelter, I was told her husband had cut her ears and nose off.

A few days later I went to Kabul airport to pick Bibi Aisha up. I don’t know how to describe it. It was too much. The first thing I saw was a hole in the middle of her face.

She was very quiet and trying to cover her face. It was sort of an instinct where if anyone sat in front of her she covered her nose.

When she came to the shelter she told us her story. She was given away in a “baad” transaction at the age of 12. This is a tribal tradition. If a family commits a crime, they give a girl to the victim’s family so the dispute is settled.
-A lie; this “tribal tradition” is found in many islamic countries, even ones that do not have “tribes”. (more…)

Taliban not real US enemy: former hostage

24 July, 2010

With the utmost respect of the man, I have to disagree with his conclusion that the taliban is a simple local insurgency and not a global threat. He went and did what most would not dare try but he is wrong and I’ll explain why.

NEW YORK: After 45 days as a hostage of the Taliban, Jere Van Dyk, 64, drew a surprising conclusion: the diehard insurgency might not be the real enemy.
-He is almost there, islam is the enemy, at its core it is a violent, oppressive ideology permanently stuck in the seventh century and totally incompatible with the modern world.

The US author’s newly-published memoir “Captive: My Time as a Prisoner of the Taliban” makes clear that nothing is black-and-white in Afghanistan — neither his own terrifying ordeal in 2008, nor the US-led war as a whole.
-Afghans by nature are opportunists; the easy way to determine if one is lying is to watch his mouth, if it moves he is lying.

Captive brims with the fear and confusion Van Dyk experienced as he and three Afghan cellmates prayed for salvation from what they thought was to be their certain shooting or beheading. In an interview, Van Dyk said the Taliban, unlike al-Qaeda, does not choose to be at war with the United States.
-Inaccurate, the taliban refuses to see them selves as “true muslims” the believe that allah allows them to fight anyone that doesn’t believe as they do. They are equally ready to fight the us as they are muslims with less religious zeal. They are not limited to afghanistan and they are true enemies of anyone wishing to live in this century following modern standards of rights and values. (more…)

Taliban Training Monkey Mujahideen?

10 July, 2010

Monkey see, monkey do, I guess:

Taliban Training Monkey Soldiers for Jihad?
By Max Fisher  – The Atlantic Wire

The People’s Daily, a newspaper produced by China’s ruling communist party, has either been hilariously pranked or has out-reported every news outlet in Afghanistan to secure the scoop of the century. The outlet today reports that the Taliban in Afghanistan is “training monkeys to use weapons to attack American troops.” After 16 years of war and nine years of battling the U.S., the Islamist insurgents have decided to arm monkeys with “AK-47 rifles and Bren light machine guns in the Waziristan tribal region near the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.”

The Chinese author, who apparently believes that PETA is more influential than the 31 percent of Americans who oppose the Afghan war, tries to explain what’s happening. “Analysts believe that apart from using ‘monkey killers’ to attack the American troops, the Taliban also sought to arouse Western animal protectionists to pressure their governments to withdraw troops from Afghanistan.”

Ace blogger and journalist Steve Hynd uncovered this strange article, adding, “I have no idea where China’s People’s Daily got this or what it thinks it’s doing by publishing it, but it’s too weird/funny not to pass along. … Banana Akhbar!” It’s not clear what species of monkey is involved in the alleged jihad, but the most likely may be the mischievous Rhesus Macaque, which can be found in parts of Afghanistan.

Oddly, the People’s Daily article cites an unnamed “British-based media agency” and insists, “The report and photos have been widely spread by media agencies and Web sites across the world.” As if the story were not strange enough, it ends with this bit of history, which Hynd confirms has no actual basis:

Ironically, the initiators of “monkey soldiers” are the Americans. Between the 1960s and the 1970s, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) trained massive “monkey soldiers” in the Vietnam War and dispatched armed monkeys to dangerous jungles to launch assaults on Vietnamese soldiers. Today, the Taliban forces have given the American troops some of their own medicine.

When armed animals enter interpersonal wars, what kind of world will we face? This cannot but arouse our reflections and concerns.

The Atlantic Wire cannot speak for everyone but our reflections have certainly been aroused.

Muslims murder 41 muslims in Pakistan

3 July, 2010

The biggest killers of muslims are other muslims.

3 July, 10, GG2.net
THREE suicide bombers struck a Sufi shrine in Pakistan’s Lahore city yesterday, killing at least 41 people and wounding more than 120, officials said, the second major attack in Lahore in a month.

Hundreds of devotees were visiting the marble shrine of the 11th century Persian Sufi saint, Syed Ali Hajwairi, commonly known as Data Gunj Bakhsh, in the heart of the city when the attacks occurred.

Muslims in Pakistan visit shrines and mosques in large numbers on Thursday nights and Friday.

“Dead bodies are scattered all over the courtyard of the shrine,” a news photographer Mohsin Raza reported from the scene.

One of the attackers blew himself up at the gate of the sprawling, marble shrine while two other attacks took place in the basement of the shrine where people were washing for prayers.

Sajjad Bhutta, a top city administrator, said at least 41 people were killed and 122 wounded.
-mohammed would be proud of his murderous minions. (more…)

Taliban Hang 7-Year-Old Child for Spying

10 June, 2010

And, Obama still fatuously believes it is a good idea to include the Taliban in the Afghan government…

Taliban hang 7-year-old boy accused of being a spy […]

Thursday, June 10th 2010

A 7-year-old boy accused of being a spy was hanged by Taliban  militants, according to published reports Thursday.

The child was allegedly put on trial by the militant group and later found guilty of working for Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai’s government, reports the Daily Mail.

[…]

“I don’t think there’s a crime bigger than that that even the most inhuman forces on earth can commit,” Karzai said.

The child was publicly hanged in the Taliban stronghold of Helmand province, a local official told The Associated Press.

“A 7-year-old boy cannot be a spy,” Karzai added. “A 7-year-old boy cannot be anything but a seven-year-old boy, and therefore hanging or shooting to kill a seven-year-old boy… is a crime against humanity.”

Omar the Cyclops Captured?

10 May, 2010

This just popped up on Big Hollywood a few minutes ago:

EXCLUSIVE: Mullah Omar Captured!
by Brad Thor

Through key intelligence sources in Afghanistan and Pakistan, I have just learned that reclusive Taliban leader and top Osama bin Laden ally, Mullah Omar has been taken into custody.

mullah_omar-bfeac

According to the State Department’s Rewards for Justice Program there is a bounty of up to $10 million on Omar for sheltering Osama bin-Laden and his al-Qaeda network in the years prior to the September 11 attacks as well as the period during and immediately thereafter.

At the end of March, US Military Intelligence was informed by US operatives working in the Af/Pak theater on behalf of the D.O.D. that Omar had been detained by Pakistani authorities. One would assume that this would be passed up the chain and that the Secretary of Defense would have been alerted immediately.  From what I am hearing, that may not have been the case.

When this explosive information was quietly confirmed to United States Intelligence ten days ago by Pakistani authorities, it appeared to take the Defense Department by surprise. No one, though, is going to be more surprised than Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.  It seems even with confirmation from the Pakistanis themselves, she was never brought up to speed.

Over the weekend, Clinton accused Pakistani Government officials of “holding back” on bin Laden intelligence.  In an interview Sunday on CBS “60 Minutes,” she said:

“I believe that somewhere in this government are people who know where Usama bin Laden and Al Qaeda is, where Mullah Omar and the leadership of the Afghan Taliban is, and we expect more cooperation to help us bring to justice, capture or kill those who attacked us on 9/11.”

They know all right and so do we, at least when it comes to Mullah Omar.  We have known since the end of March and we had it confirmed ten days ago by the Pakistanis.  So why didn’t the State Department and the CIA know?

Developing.
