Condoleezza Rice Wants to Split Jerusalem in Half!!!

26 August, 2008

All hail Condi “Solomon” Rice…

I have an idea, why don’t we split the Gaza Strip in half; give half of it back to Israel, and let the Islamic Squatters keep the other half.  Then, a few years later, we can split the Islamic Squatters half again, and give a half of that to Israel, and so on, and so on…    Yup, that’s the way I would handle the Islamic Squatter problem…

Rice urges Israel to split Jerusalem
Sources reveal status of secret talks to create Palestinian state this year
August 25, 2008

JERUSALEM – Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, completing a visit to the region today, has been pressing Israel to sign a document by the end of the year that would divide Jerusalem by offering the Palestinians a state in Israel’s capital city as well as in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, according to top diplomatic sources involved in the talks.

The Israeli team, led by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, has been negotiating the division of Jerusalem – despite claims to the contrary – but would rather conclude an agreement on paper by the end of the year that would give the Palestinians a state in the West Bank, Gaza and some Israeli territory, leaving conclusions on Jerusalem for a later date, the informed diplomatic sources told WND.

The sources said the Palestinian team has been pushing to conclude a deal by January on all core issues, including Jerusalem, and has been petitioning the U.S. to pressure Israel into signing an agreement on paper that offers the Palestinians eastern Jerusalem.

Rice, the sources said, has asked Israeli leaders to bend to what the U.S. refers to as a “compromise position,” concluding an Israeli-Palestinian agreement by the end of the year that guarantees sections of Jerusalem to the Palestinians. But Israel would not be required to withdraw from Jerusalem for a period of one to five years.

[Oh, that makes it all better now…  A slow, bleeding eviction…  Yeah, sure…]

The diplomatic sources said the plan is that once an Israeli-Palestinian deal is reached on paper by January, Bush would issue an official letter guaranteeing that the U.S. supports the conclusions of the document.

Any Israeli-Palestinian paper agreement is to finalize a process that began at last November’s U.S. backed Annapolis conference, which seeks to create a Palestinian state, at least on paper, before Bush leaves office.

One Palestinian negotiator speaking to WND described as “crazy” the intensity and frequency of Israeli-Palestinian talks in recent weeks, saying both sides have been meeting on a daily basis, usually at the highest levels. The negotiator said Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Chief Palestinian Negotiator Ahmed Queri have been leading the talks.

The negotiator said Jerusalem is being discussed by both sides and that the two teams are “closer than ever” on coming to an agreement on the status of the city.

This claim was verified to WND by other diplomatic sources involved in the negotiations.

The Palestinian negotiator said Jerusalem would be divided along the framework of the 2000 U.S.-brokered Camp David accords. He said the general philosophy for dividing Jerusalem would be “Arab for Arab and Jew for Jew,” meaning that most Arab-majority eastern sections of Jerusalem would be granted to the Palestinian Authority while Israel would retain Western, Jewish-majority sections.

[Thank you, Bubba Clinton…]

Israel recaptured eastern Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount – Judaism’s holiest site – during the 1967 Six Day War. The Palestinians have claimed eastern Jerusalem as a future capital. About 244,000 Arabs live in Jerusalem, mostly in eastern neighborhoods. Jerusalem has an estimated total population of 724,000, the majority Jewish.

Good News: Booze Flowing Again in Cairo’s Luxury Grand Hyatt Hotel

Cairo luxury hotel starts serving alcohol again

By PAUL SCHEMM, Associated Press Writer

via Yahoo News

CAIRO, Egypt – Cairo’s luxury Grand Hyatt hotel is serving alcohol again after a compromise was reached between the international chain and the hotel’s Saudi owner who abruptly declared it a dry venue earlier this year.

The Saudi sheik’s decision in April to follow Islam’s ban on alcohol and stop serving it at one of the city’s swankiest tourist landmarks shocked many in Egypt’s vital tourism industry. All of Cairo’s international hotel chains serve alcohol, as do many tourist restaurants.

The Cairo Grand Hyatt spokeswoman, Sally Khattab, said Tuesday that the Hyatt parent company reached a compromise with Saudi owner Sheik Abdelaziz al-Brahim that alcohol could be served in a single restaurant at the top of the hotel overlooking the Nile River.

Al-Brahim “decided to compromise by giving Hyatt a chance to fulfill their commitments by managing this serving of alcohol in a secluded restaurant on the 40th floor, so he would keep his hotel with the family atmosphere he would like to present to his guests,” she told the Associated Press.

The revolving restaurant at the top of the hotel will now be managed by a special subsidiary of Hyatt separate from the Cairo hotel itself, so the sheik would not be involved with the promotion or sale of alcohol, she said.

Guests will also be able to order alcohol through room service. But the hotel’s dozen other restaurants, including Japanese, Italian, Indian and Continental cuisine would remain alcohol free.

Alcohol is forbidden in Islam, though it is sold in most Muslim countries, except Saudi Arabia and Sudan.

Son of Hamas Leader Struck by Christianity’s Central Tenet, “Love Your Enemies”

Mosab Hassan Yousef, son of Hamas leader, becomes a Christian

The son of one of the most revered leaders of the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas has renounced his religion to move to America and become an evangelical Christian.

Mosab Hassan Yousef, 30, said that his decision to abandon his Muslim faith and denounce his father’s organisation had exposed his family to persecution in his home town of Ramallah and endangered his own life.

But despite the cost, Mr Yousef told The Daily Telegraph that he is convinced that speaking out about the problems of Islam and the “evil” he witnessed back home would help to address the “messed-up situation” in the Middle East and one day bring about peace and enable him to return.

“I’m not afraid of them, especially as I know that I’m doing the right thing, and I don’t see them as my enemies,” he said. “I do think about this a lot. But what are they going to do? Are they going to kill me?

“If they want to kill me, let them do it. I’m not going to stop anyone. It’s going to be my freedom.

“My soul’s going to be free of my body, not flesh any more.”

Mr Yousef, who is known as Joseph by friends at the Barabbas Road church in San Diego, California, arrived in America 18 months ago but only recently made “the biggest decision of my life” to go public with his conversion to draw attention to how the Palestinian leadership is “misleading” and exploiting its people.

“Palestinians look really ugly in front of everybody in the world and they are very, very good people … they are misled, and their picture is very dark because of this leadership.

“They need some help, they need people to stop lying to them, and lying to the world.”

Mr Yousef was raised as a Muslim by his politically powerful family. His father, Hassan Yousef, a highly respected sheikh born in the West Bank town of al-Ghaniya near Ramallah, is a founding member of Hamas, whose military wing has instigated dozens of suicide bombings and other attacks against Israel since it was formed in 1987.

Hamas now governs the Gaza strip after ousting the more moderate Palestinian Authority led by Mahmoud Abbas, whose administration now only controls the West Bank.

Mr Yousef said that the decision to leave the home he loves and his family including five brothers and two sisters had made life hard for them.

“They are definitely suffering because of what I’ve done,” he said. “They are not a regular family, they are a very famous family, and Muslims around the world praise my family, praise my father. So when I came with a step like this, it was impossible to think about, it was crazy.

“I knew from the beginning my family would face an impossible situation. It wasn’t their choice but they have had to carry it with me. It’s difficult for my mother, she’s crying all day long. Every time I talk to her, she’s crying.”

His mother, Salsabin, told The Daily Telegraph that she and her children were “in daily contact with Mosab” but she declined to comment further on his new life.

Mr Yousef said that his father, who has spent more than a decade in Israeli jails for his involvement with Hamas, was in prison when he “got the worst news in his life” – that his son had become a Christian and left Ramallah. “But at the same time he sent me a message of love.

“Everybody is asking him to disown me. You understand if he disowns me he will give terrorists a chance to kill me. “He loves me as a son and he believes that what I’ve done was something I believed in, but at the same time it’s very difficult for him to understand and he won’t be able to understand.”

Russia: Most Serbs do not want NATO

26 August, 2008

As much as I hate to admit it the Russians have a point, the Serbs would have to be crazy to trust NATO or the United States ever again. We have continuously sided with the Muslims and helped steal Kosovo, we are directly responsibly for all the criminal acts committed by the muslims against the Serbs. Criminal acts that continue, the remaining Serb enclaves inside of Kosovo have had drinking water cut off for weeks. Despite promises by the US supported government, no water has arrived and most likely will not. Sarajevo has fallen to the muslims and no one seems to have noticed or care. The UN with 57 muslim nations voting will never support the Serbs and except for Russia the Serbs are alone and friendless.

Unlike most Americans, I freely admit I was on the wrong side of the Balkans issue. I have apologized to the Serbian people in the past and will not abandon them now. Do the Russians have an agenda? Damn right they do but by siding with them the Serbs do not have to worry about the EU slowly milking them dry. My advice to the Serbs drop the EU and NATO before you are as weak and as corrupt as the UK.

25 August, 2008, Serbianna
Russian special representative to NATO Dmitry Rogozin said that most Serbs do not want NATO because it bombed Serbia in 1999 and believes that Serbia could benefit more from Russian alliance.
-I would caution against just accepting the words of Russians and let the people vote but a little history lesson could help them chose wisely.

“I am sure that most Serbs don’t want that. Serbian politicians think the membership is going to resolve economic issues, but there are other ways to do that. Russia can help. After all, there are wealthy countries which are either neutral or not in NATO, such as Switzerland, Austria, Sweden,” Rogozin said.
-Serb politicians do support NATO membership but so far have not proven to be capable or to have the will of the people at heart. (more…)

Just Guilty of Plagiarism… Move Along…

Of course, no one in the court seems to be noticing that the “general nature” of Islam and Islamic law is Procrustean, with you and I getting “adjusted” for that bed…

‘Terror’ library mostly on Islamic law
The Austrian
Natalie O’Brien | August 27, 2008

A MEMBER of John Howard’s Muslim Community Reference Group has told how he was asked to analyse the content of 3000 books and about 40,000 pages downloaded from the internet found in the home-office of a Sydney man accused of producing a book encouraging terrorist acts.

Samier Dandan told the NSW Supreme Court yesterday he spent two days trawling through an extensive library in the Lakemba home of Belal Saadallah Khazaal and found the material was of a “general nature” about Islamic law.

“Most of the stuff was of a general nature on Islamic jurisprudence: on marriage, fasting, prayers, divorce,” Mr Dandan said yesterday.

Mr Dandan told the court he understood Mr Khazaal was a writer for a Sydney-based magazine, was part of its publishing team and was the author of two books in Arabic.

Mr Khazaal has pleaded not guilty to knowingly making a document connected with assistance in a terrorist act and to attempting to incite a terrorist act.

It is alleged that the offences occurred between September and October 2003.

The Crown is alleging that Mr Khazaal put together the book, The Provision on the Rules of Jihad: Short Judicial Rulings and Organisational Instructions for Fighters and Mujahideen Against Infidels, which promoted acts of violence or terrorism against non-Muslims, and had it published on an internet website.

The book includes assassination methods and reasons for assassinations, as well as a hit-list of nations to be targeted, including Australia.

Counsel for Mr Khazaal, George Thomas, said all the material in the book was publicly available and his client had not written any of it save for a few paragraphs.

The case against Mr Khazaal was circumstantial, he said.

Congratulations Michelle Malkin

25 August, 2008

Recently, islamic propagandist and apologist Anisa Abd El Fattah, published an editorial inciting violence against her old enemy — “Judeo/Christian fascists”.

This time around, she put a face with the name: conservative media pundit and blogger Michelle Malkin. Her article, “Michelle Malkin: Enemy of the People and the US Constitutiion [sic]”, was published in a number of places, including her National Association of Muslim American Women blog.
-I did not include a link to her blog or the article because reading such drivel could be considered torture.

I would like at congratulate the beautiful and talented Michelle Malkin on her new title:

“Enemy of the People and the US Constitution”

Although I am not sure how standing up against the enemies of freedom and democracy earns one such a title. I do know if Michelle earned it, the title must bring great honor and personal satisfaction.

My sincere congratulations Michelle.

Iraqi suicide bomber has second thoughts and surrenders

25 August, 2008

Despite the high probability of her family being punished this child thought better about this and surrendered. Hopefully she can lead authorities toward the cowards who sent a child to die because they were not brave enough to fight themselves.

By Tim Cocks, 25 Aug, 2008, Reuters
BAGHDAD – A teenage Iraqi girl wearing a vest packed with explosives turned herself in rather than go through with a suicide bombing in a violence-torn city north of Baghdad, police and the U.S. military said on Monday.

A U.S. military statement said the girl surrendered to police on Sunday in Baquba, capital of Iraq’s restive Diyala province, where Sunni Arab al Qaeda militants are waging war on U.S. and Iraqi forces.

She was still wearing the vest, which police had to remove before detaining her. Iraqi police and U.S. sources differed on the girl’s age, with estimates ranging from 13 to 17.

“Reports are that she approached the IPs (Iraqi police) saying she had the vest on and didn’t want to go through with it,” U.S. military spokesman Lieutenant Commander David Russell told Reuters on Monday. “If she was forced to put on the vest or if she did it voluntarily, that is still being reviewed.”

Police footage obtained by Reuters showed a girl with dyed red hair talking with four Iraqi policemen from a distance, her back against a wall. After some minutes, one of them approaches her and ties her arms back onto a railing.

Two policemen then remove the vest. After searching her, one takes off his jacket and drapes it over her to cover the girl’s bare shoulders.
-Not an act to be dismissed. He honored both her personal honor and established islamic tradition. It showed real bravery to approach her not knowing if there was a secondary remote detonator and thoughtfulness to protect her personal sense of honor. (more…)

AFP – via The Peninsula Qatar

SANAA • Yemeni authorities have arrested 30 suspected Al Qaeda members in the past two weeks in a crackdown on the network in the eastern province of Hadramaut, an official said yesterday.

The official, who asked not to be named, said “a series of security operations” have followed a firefight in the town of Tarim on August 11 in which a prominent Al Qaeda fugitive and four other militants were killed.

Officials said the Tarim cell had been plotting attacks in neighbouring Saudi Arabia, which has battled suspected Al Qaeda militants for the past five years. Yemeni authorities said last week that five Al Qaeda suspects were nabbed near the town of Sayun, where a policeman was killed in a July 25 suicide bombing claimed by Al Qaeda.

Possible Link to Terrorism in Crash of Kyrgyz Aircraft

Airliner crash possible terrorist attack
Bishkek – News Agency “24.kg
By Jyldyzbek IBRALIEV

Relatives of the Boeing 737 crash survivors say the explosion occurred on board may be a terrorist attack.

“Some passengers fell asleep during the first several minutes into flight. Those awake witnessed the plane struggling to gain height and heard roar and booming. The plane exploded when crashed into the ground and the flame and black smoke began spreading. Many passengers couldn’t unbelt themselves and died. We do not rule out a possibility of terrorist attack. Otherwise what was the reason of the cabin pressure loss?” relatives of the survivors said from their words.

The Boeing 737 of Itek Air, a Kyrgyz company, operated by Iran Asseman Airlines was headed to Tehran when it crashed near Bishkek’s Manas International Airport at about 21:00 with 83 passengers and 7 crew members on board […]

The flight had included 59 foreign travelers, including Iranians, Kazakhs, Canadians, a Chinese person and a Turk. A passenger list published showed most of the foreigners to be Iranian.

The first reports said there were at least 71 dead and 25 survivors, but later the figures lowered. Now there are 68 reported dead and 22 survived.

Arrests increase pressure on India over Kashmir

Matt Wade in New Delhi

The Sydney Morning Herald

INDIAN police have detained three prominent Muslim separatist leaders in Kashmir as a wave of protests in favour of self-determination challenges India’s grip on the troubled Himalayan region.

All 10 districts of Jammu and Kashmir state have been placed under an indefinite curfew after clashes between police and protesters over several weeks which have left at least 34 dead and about 500 injured.

Yesterday authorities arrested a separatist leader, Yasin Malik, hours after detaining Sayed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umer Farooq. Before his arrest, Mr Farooq said the Indian authorities were afraid of “peaceful but massive demonstrations for freedom”.

The arrests pre-empted a planned march to Lal Chowk in central Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir. The well-known market is now ringed by heavily armed police, corrugated iron barriers and barbed wire.

There are between 400,000 and 800,000 Indian security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir, according to unofficial estimates.

Separatist protests have continued despite the curfew. One person was killed and another seriously injured after police fired on a crowd in Srinagar.

No newspapers were available in the Kashmir Valley yesterday and there has been a crackdown on what authorities called “unregistered” news channels. At least 15 journalists have been beaten for disobeying the curfew, according to local media reports.
