You just know that on day one of Obamacare’s roll-out, CNN’s senior medical correspondent, Elizabeth Cohen, was thinking that she would immediately log onto the government’s healthcare website; enroll in Obamacare; and,  file a glowing report about how wonderful and majestic the government run healthcare system was.

Well, two weeks later, she’s been at it every single day and the reality of just how much of a failure the Obamacare roll-out is seems to be finally sinking in…

The fight has officially been brought to my front door

Last night I was out with a buddy of mine. I got a text from my wife that the cops and dyfs [Division of Youth and Family Services] are at the house and they wanna check out my guns and needed me to open my safe.

I’m instantly on my way.

I get in contact with [E]van Nappen [a lawyer] on the way. I explain the situation. I walk in my house and hand the phone to the first cop I see. Then direct all of em outside.

Dyfs got a call because of a pic on my son holding a gun.

They wanted to look around and check all my guns out, make sure they were all registered.

Obviously that didn’t go well because I refused.

I had Nappen on speaker phone the entire time so they had to deal with both of us.

They kept trying to pressure me to open my safe.

They had no warrant, no charges, nothing. I didn’t budge.

I was told I was being “unreasonable” and that I was acting suspicious because I wouldn’t open my safe. Told me they were gonna get a search warrant.  Told em go ahead.

Nappen (my lawyer) asked me for the dyfs workers name. she wouldn’t give it.  [I] asked for credentials and she wouldn’t show em.  [I] tried to take a pic of her and she turned around real fast and walked away.

After a while of them threatening to take my kids, get warrants and intimidation they left. Empty handed and seeing nothing.

People it can happen that fast. Most people wouldn’t have stood up to them like I did.

Is Obama Asking Top Brass If They Will Fire on Americans???

I don’t know, but I certainly wouldn’t put it past him.  After all, there have been a number of suspicious purchases by various governmental agencies which one might be inclined to suspect as preparations for an all out war on U.S. citizens:

Um…  I’m pretty sure the Deeds to both properties have “easement” clauses in them, in which, if you sign them, gives utility companies the legal means to trespass on your land. 

However, that being said, it’s a fascist state which allows utility companies to team up with the police in order to arrests home owners who simply don’t want utility companies to install those new Snoop-o-Meters on their property.  

After all, if a resident doesn’t want a Snoop-o-Meter, the power company can simply shut off the power to that residence.  Then, the homeowner can decide if they want to live on or off the grid. 

Simple. 

But, no.  Police are now going around arresting people just because the utility companies are on a power trip:

2 meter opponents arrested in Naperville: ‘A society of violating one another’

Two vocal opponents of Naperville’s initiative to install wireless electric meters on homes were arrested after interfering with the installation process, according to city officials.

Police are accompanying crews this week as they install smart meters at homes that previously sent away installers.

“The previous installation attempts were met with some resistance and we wanted to ensure our employees’ safety,” City Manager Doug Krieger said.

Naperville has installed smart meters on 57,000 homes and is about 99 percent through with the process. Officials have said the project will make the electric system more reliable and efficient and reduce costs.

However, the Naperville Smart Meter Awareness group has expressed concerns over whether the wireless meters will affect health, security and privacy. The group has a federal lawsuit pending against the city.

The two women arrested Wednesday are leaders of the group.

Yup, the police and the utility companies are making an example out of them for the rest of the group.  That certainly reeks of fascism, if you ask me.

Malia “Kim” Bendis of the 2200 block of Mercer Court was charged with two misdemeanors — attempted eavesdropping and resisting a peace officer.

Jennifer Stahl of the 1400 block of Westglen Drive, received two ordinance violation citations — interfering with a police officer and preventing access to customer premises.

Stahl, who was released from custody about 4:30 p.m., said when she refused the smart meter, installers accompanied by police cut the bicycle lock she had placed on her fence and entered her backyard. She then stood in front of her electric meter and refused to move.

“It was forced on my house today,” she said. “It was really a violation. I violated something, but I’ve been violated too so I guess we’re now in a society of violating one another.”

Krieger defended the city moving forward with installation of the meters despite the objections from some homeowners.

“The city has always had and maintains the right to access our equipment, and today we were simply exercising that right,” he said.

And, the homeowners are simply exercising their CONSTITUTIONAL rights to privacy and protesting.  In a sane world, that would normally trump the city.  But, we aren’t living in a sane world, are we?  We’re now living in an Orwellian police state.  Welcome to the USSA, folks.

Proposed law scheduled for a vote next week originally increased Americans’ e-mail privacy. Then law enforcement complained. Now it increases government access to e-mail and other digital files.

A Senate proposal touted as protecting Americans’ e-mail privacy has been quietly rewritten, giving government agencies more surveillance power than they possess under current law.

CNET has learned that Patrick Leahy, the influential Democratic chairman of the Senate Judiciary committee, has dramatically reshaped his legislation in response to law enforcement concerns. A vote on his bill, which now authorizes warrantless access to Americans’ e-mail, is scheduled for next week.

Leahy’s rewritten bill would allow more than 22 agencies — including the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Communications Commission — to access Americans’ e-mail, Google Docs files, Facebook wall posts, and Twitter direct messages without a search warrant. It also would give the FBI and Homeland Security more authority, in some circumstances, to gain full access to Internet accounts without notifying either the owner or a judge.

Markham Erickson, a lawyer in Washington, D.C. who has followed the topic closely and said he was speaking for himself and not his corporate clients, expressed concerns about the alphabet soup of federal agencies that would be granted more power:

“There is no good legal reason why federal regulatory agencies such as the NLRB, OSHA, SEC or FTC need to access customer information service providers with a mere subpoena. If those agencies feel they do not have the tools to do their jobs adequately, they should work with the appropriate authorizing committees to explore solutions. The Senate Judiciary committee is really not in a position to adequately make those determinations.”

The list of agencies that would receive civil subpoena authority for the contents of electronic communications also includes the Federal Reserve, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Maritime Commission, the Postal Regulatory Commission, the National Labor Relations Board, and the Mine Enforcement Safety and Health Review Commission.

Mississippi NAACP Leader Sentenced to Five Years in Prison for Ten Counts of Voter Fraud

While NAACP President Benjamin Jealous lashed out at new state laws requiring photo ID for voting, an NAACP executive sits in prison, sentenced for carrying out a massive voter fraud scheme.

In a story ignored by the national media, in April a Tunica County, Miss., jury convicted NAACP official Lessadolla Sowers on 10 counts of fraudulently casting absentee ballots. Sowers is identified on an NAACP website as a member of the Tunica County NAACP Executive Committee.

Sowers received a five-year prison term for each of the 10 counts, but Circuit Court Judge Charles Webster permitted Sowers to serve those terms concurrently, according to the Tunica Times, the only media outlet to cover the sentencing.

“This crime cuts against the fabric of our free society,” Judge Webster said.

Sowers was found guilty of voting in the names of Carrie Collins, Walter Howard, Sheena Shelton, Alberta Pickett, Draper Cotton and Eddie Davis. She was also convicted of voting in the names of four dead persons: James L. Young, Dora Price, Dorothy Harris, and David Ross.

In the trial, forensic scientist Bo Scales testified that Sowers’s DNA was found on the inner seals of five envelopes containing absentee ballots.

This wasn’t Sowers’s first run-in with the law. Sowers previously had her probation revoked for disturbing the peace at a junior high school library, the Commercial Appeal of Memphis reported in 1990. During a hearing at that time, Sowers played the race card. She claimed to be the victim of “an attempt by powerful whites to silence” her, the newspaper reported. It didn’t work. She was ordered back to prison to complete the remaining two years of a three-year sentence she received for check forgery.

Mayor Bloomberg’s proposed ban on sugary drinks larger than 16 ounces could also include massive buckets of buttery movie-theater popcorn, as far as members of his Board of Health are concerned.

“The popcorn isn’t a whole lot better than the soda,” said Bruce Vladeck, a senior adviser at Nexera Consulting and one of the mayor’s appointees to the 11-member board.

The board yesterday agreed to put Bloomberg’s big-soda ban up for a public hearing July 24, but also talked about the merits of limiting other high-calorie treats.

A large tub of movie-theater popcorn has up to 1,650 calories.

Only if you load it up with all that fake butter oil.  Otherwise, you can eat almost all the popcorn you can stomach and not gain any weight. 

In fact, many diet plans actually suggest you eat air-popped popcorn to allay those nasty cravings for snack foods.   However, since when have Progressive Commies let actual facts get in the way of their power grabs?

New York Times Pulls Out 3-Year-Old Photo to Pull on Heart-Strings So They Can Talk About Obama’s Skin Color

Yup, it’s officially election season!

First, the setup by the New York Slimes:

For decades at the White House, photographs of the president at work and at play have hung throughout the West Wing, and each print soon gives way to a more recent shot. But one picture of President Obama remains after three years.

In the photo, Mr. Obama looks to be bowing to a sharply dressed 5-year-old black boy, who stands erect beside the Oval Office desk, his arm raised to touch the president’s hair — to see if it feels like his. The image has struck so many White House aides and visitors that by popular demand it stays put while others come and go.

Okay, got it.  The photo is a cute photo.  Fine.  But, we’ve seen it a hundred times before.

So, why does the New York Slimes dredge this photo up?  I’ll tell you why:  So that they can elicit a sentimental emotional response from their readers, whereupon they are then free to talk up the race card without their readers even realizing they’ve been suckered:

As a candidate and as president, Mr. Obama has avoided discussing race except in rare instances when he seemed to have little choice [*cough* Bullspit! *cough*]— responding to the racially incendiary words of his former pastor, for example, or to the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager in Florida. Some black leaders criticize Mr. Obama for not directly addressing young blacks or proposing policies specifically for them.

Got it?  It’s all about playing the race card and pulling together the black community in support of Obama.  Because, gosh darn-it, he’s black, too!  Don’t believe me?  Read on:

Yet the photo is tangible evidence of what polls also show: Mr. Obama remains a potent symbol for blacks, with a deep reservoir of support. As skittish as White House aides often are in discussing race, they also clearly revel in the power of their boss’s example.

Do you see it?  It’s a propaganda piece designed to reassure blacks that, “he is still  a black’s black man;  Powerful and potent with dominion over whites, blacks, Hispanics, you name it, he has dominion over it.   And, even though you might have thought you heard about Obama tanking in the polls amongst blacks because of his support for gay marriages, that is all just a rumor.  Pay no attention to it.”  So sayeth the Ministry of Truth.

It’s Historic! Obama Now Part of Every President’s Bio (Except Ford’s)

Remember when we warned you about Obama’s Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) back in 2008?  Well, it’s on full display today!

Yup, I can see the history books now:  “President Obama was an integral member of the Donner Party;  He showed them how to eat dogs and, later on, divulged his Hockey Mom recipes to the starving survivors.  Mmm, good!!!”

Obama Inserts Himself in White House Bios of Past Presidents

The White House website has always featured biographies of past presidents. The biographies are largely designed for students, so they can research the history of the White House occupants; the text is taken from The Presidents of the United States of America, by Michael Beschloss and Hugh Sidey.

Now, however, President Obama has decided that those other presidential biographies weren’t complete without a sentence about him. Seriously. As it turns out, all past presidents are just a window into President Obama’s grand accomplishments. Here are some examples:

• President Calvin Coolidge: “On Feb. 22, 1924 Calvin Coolidge became the first president to make a public radio address to the American people. President Coolidge later helped create the Federal Radio Commission, which has now evolved to become the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).  President Obama became the first president to hold virtual gatherings and town halls using Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, etc.” The creation of the FCC wasn’t even one of Coolidge’s top ten accomplishments as president. But it allows Obama to brag about how he uses Facebook, so now it’s one of Coolidge’s most important achievements.

• President Herbert Hoover: “President Herbert Hoover signed the bill founding the Department of Veterans Affairs July 21, 1930. President Obama is committed to making sure that the VA, the second-largest cabinet department, serves the needs of all veterans and provides a seamless transition from active duty to civilian life, and has directed his Administration to modernize the way health care is delivered and benefits are administered for our nation’s veterans.  First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden launched Joining Forces to mobilize all sectors of society to give our service members and their families the opportunities and support they have earned.” President Obama, you’ll notice, didn’t talk about continuing Hoover’s Keynesian economic policies, which helped to prolong the Great Depression. But he does like veterans!

• President Franklin D. Roosevelt: “On August 14, 1935, President Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act. Today the Obama Administration continues to protect seniors and ensure Social Security will be there for future generations.” Once again, Obama ignores his actual similarities to FDR – driving a bad economy into a drainage ditch. FDR’s Social Security was supposed to provide for widows and orphans; Obama’s will be bankrupt within a few years.

• President Harry S. Truman: “In a 1946 letter to the National Urban League, President Truman wrote that the government has ‘an obligation to see that the civil rights of every citizen are fully and equally protected.’ He ended racial segregation in civil service and the armed forces in 1948. Today the Obama Administration continues to strive toward upholding the civil rights of its citizens, repealing  Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, allowing people of all sexual orientations to serve openly in our armed forces.” Somehow, it’s doubtful that Harry Truman was an advocate of open homosexuals in the military. But we should just be thankful that President Obama didn’t compare Truman’s decision to use the hydrogen bomb to the Bin Laden raid. Gutsy call!

• President Dwight D. Eisenhower: “President Dwight Eisenhower established the President’s Council on Youth Fitness on July 16, 1956 (now known as The President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports) after learning from a study that American youth were less fit than European youth. Today the Council is still going strong—with Olympians and professional athletes on board—working in conjunction with the First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move initiative to help promote healthier lifestyles.” Eisenhower also ended the war in Korea, by the way, and led a strong and prosperous American economy for eight years. But the key to his presidency is that he didn’t like fat – just like Michelle!

• President John F. Kennedy: “President John F. Kennedy famously suggested the American people: ‘Ask what you can do for your country.’ In 1961, the Peace Corps was created, facilitating service among citizens working toward peace in developing countries. In 2011, President Obama celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Peace Corps with a Presidential Proclamation.” Well, Obama is just like JFK – he issued a presidential proclamation celebrating something relatively irrelevant that JFK once did!

• President Lyndon B. Johnson: “President Lyndon Johnson signed Medicare signed into law in 1965—providing millions of elderly healthcare stability. President Obama’s historic health care reform law, the Affordable Care Act, strengthens Medicare, offers eligible seniors a range of preventive services with no cost-sharing, and provides discounts on drugs when in the coverage gap known as the ‘donut hole.’” By “strengthens Medicare,” Obama means cuts $500 billion from Medicare, apparently. By the way, how’s that war on poverty thing going?

• President Richard M. Nixon: “In 1973, Richard Nixon created The President’s Export Council, which was expanded and reconstituted under President Jimmy Carter in 1979. Today the PEC continues to work towards reaching President Obama’s goal of doubling the nation’s exports by 2014’s end.” Good to know that government programs never die, they just fade into irrelevance by continuing to push for the same policies over the course of four decades.

• President Gerald R. Ford: Apparently, there were no similarities between Obama and Gerald Ford. Except, perhaps, that they both like golf.

NJ ASK Exam Asks 3rd-Graders to Reveal a Secret About Their Lives

How quaint:  Prepping the little ones to rat their parents out come the revolution.

Yup, it’s an Obama world.  Shades of Nazism and Communism.

Some Garden State parents are furious after learning their 3rd graders were asked during the New Jersey Assessment of Skills and Knowledge exam, NJ ASK, to disclose a secret about their lives – and why it’s hard to keep.

Dr. Richard Goldberg – a Marlboro father of twin boys in the 3rd grade – says the youngsters were asked “The Secret” question, and ” I was kind of shocked because it was just a very – it was an outrageous question…to ask an 8-year-old, a 9-year-old to start revealing secrets in the middle of an exam – I thought was really inappropriate… these children – they want to answer the question, they want to ask it correctly, they don’t want to get a bad grade- but at the same time…think about the things a child might know – about themselves or their family.”

He says many other parents were also upset by the question, and “whoever put this question forward really needs to be called to account…I find it incredible that someone could not possibly understand how dangerous or how uncomfortable a question like this might be…somebody was either very stupid or very arrogant.”

Dr. Goldberg adds anyone with kids in the school system “at one point or another has come across this feeling of – we know better than you do- how to raise your children- how to educate them…this crosses over all lines, it crosses over all ideologies – many parents told me their children were really uncomfortable with the question – I think at some point parents need to stand up and say this is really not going to help the children in furthering how they’re going to be successful in the future – and this was a perfect example.”

Child psychologist Dr. Steven Tobias agrees.

He says this is not what educators should be asking 3rd graders who are taking an official exam.

“A question like this is really fraught with problems – one is issues of confidentiality, of privacy…it’s inappropriate to be encouraging kids to tell their secrets – in a forum like this – without knowing where the information is going.”
